The most welcoming, friendly staff and vets who take the time to get to know both me and especially, my dog. I was happily surprised with how comfortable they made us feel with plenty of time for questions and knowledgeable answers. Everyone was kind, engaging and attentive. We love this place and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

Friendly, knowledgeable, followed up promptly. Treated us like old friends even though it was our first visit. Showed genuine concern for our pet and our pocketbook. Would recommend without reservation.

I've been meaning to write this for about 2.5 years but it's been too painful. It still is, and my eyes are burning as I write this, but it's time I share! Here comes a long one. This facility is amazing. I experienced such love and compassion from the staff when I took my foster boy here routinely as he aged. I was hospice-fostering an incredible senior boxer mix through a local rescue. He was in bad shape when I brought him home and was too sick to even be neutered. He was estimated to have less than a year left, and I wanted to make sure his last year special. Pet Medical Center & Spa was the facility the shelter used at the time, so they were his dedicated team even though my own dogs go to another facility. As medical issues arose, I took my sweet boy here with approval from the shelter. They always made time to get him in right away and would keep him for the day while I worked. Petey, my darling old man, absolutely loved coming to this place. In all my years, and all the dogs I've had, I've never had a dog so excited to walk through the doors and trot away with staff! He'd always look back at me, with a look of, "I'll be okay, Mom!" as he happily went with someone. I was told some staff had pictures of him on their phone and would routinely stop at his kennel to give him love and treats whenever he was there. At first, he had a pretty bad corneal ulcer, and later, some undiagnosed GI disease. Petey's health improved drastically and I had him for nearly two years. But he still eventually became sicker as he aged, and began losing weight. When he struggled to defecate, I brought him to the team here and they found he had a swelling around his prostate that they hoped would decrease if they neutered him. Petey's health had improved so much that they were able to neuter him and he healed like a champ. It unfortunately didn't solve the problem, and after so many attempts at helping him, it was determined that we could just make him as comfortable as possible. I left the state for a 1.5 week trip and the afternoon I got home, I found out his situation had worsened to the point that he couldn't stand up on his own anymore. I called PMC. Dr. Davis, who was the veterinarian overseeing his care, said I could bring him in immediately as I made the painful decision to let him go with the approval of the shelter. They were so, so kind when I brought him in. They had a private room set up with a bed and blankets to make him comfortable. They brought in ice cream with chocolate for him to eat as his final meal, which he loved (despite having lost his taste for eating). Letting him go was one of the most painful things I've had to do and I still struggle with him not being here even though it was absolutely the right choice because he was in so much pain. I paid for a private cremation and the team put together a really nice little bag with his ashes and a framed paw print in some type of clay. They also sent me a really nice card. Thank you so much to Dr. Davis, and to the vet assistant Tiffany, who also adored Petey and always took the time to talk to me about how wonderful he was. I think about both of you, your facility, and your kindness to me and Petey all the time. Thank you.

Had to visit pet med center & spa a few times with a terminally ill older dog. They were very thorough, and patient with my "asks" through this tough time. They also routinely followed up to see how things were progressing in the weeks that followed. Lastly, when confronted with an extensive bill for meds and tests the vet tech helped me research generic options to soften the financial blow.

I have always been happy with the care that my pets have received at Pet Medical Center and Spa. As a long time client--ever since Dr. Dumars (whom I miss very much) was there I have always been happy. My issue is with the staff up front when you check in or call. They use to be flexible with my schedule and if I called to postpone they were good about rescheduling me quickly. Now, I have to wait one-two months out just for exams or shots especially if I have to postpone due to a schedule conflict or unable to catch one of the ferrels in for shots/exams. Sometimes longer if I need to get one of the cats in because of an injury. They will not let me drop off and if I do it and it can only be at a certain time when I have to be at work, and they are less than friendly with the exception of one individual who is very patient with me when I ask questions. I do not have the time flexibility that I had last year and the front office refuses to work with me especially since I am trying to work with them. I have to work with their schedule--if my schedule doesn't work for them then I am out of luck and either have to wait or drop before 5:00p.m. the night before if that is even possible. I love the Vets very much and will continue to come and trust them with my pets care. ( That is why I gave them a 4) But the Front Office needs some work, customer training, and sensitivity when it comes to scheduling. I would really like for Pet Medical Center and Spa to go back to being open on Saturdays even if it is for just a few hours. It was a blessing and helped me out a lot.

I bring my cat KC for exams, he hates vets but the staff and Dr Davis always manages to calm him, so much so that he starts to purr. So far I am very happy with the care and treatment of his conditions, whatever the case may be. They are always very courteous and professional whenever I call in.

My Sweet baby Gator. He was rescued from something I can only describe as worse than hell on earth. Leaving him with various "personality" issues. Although he loves his Mommy. If a stranger even attempts to touch him, blood is drawn. He needed his nails trimmed so badly but he wouldn't even let me do it. Over the past few months & various veterinarian visits have been less than successful. Even though I THROUGHLY explained this little boys issues. However, this morning the universe smiled and we brought him to Fresno Pet Medical and Spa. They were AMAZING. Dr. Haley Govea and her assistant Brionna worked pure magic and were able to trim his nails as he remaind fairly calm. Next step is a "sedation" grooming. This place, these people are magical. And I'll never be able to thank their whole team enough for taking such extra special care of my baby. I would HIGHLY recommend Fresno Pet Medical Center and Spa for all of your furbabies needs!

They are fantastic! They helped us on an emergency with our cat, were able to medically board her on short notice and has been wonderful with follow up bandage changes and check ups. Boarding was affordable and gave us peace of mind while I had to go out of town for work. Thank you to all the staff for help with Baby!

Giovanni is a 14 year old cocker spaniel and had multiple things going on: multiple skin tags, ear infection, dental tartar and had started to ear soft foods. The staff were very accommodating and were able to take off more tags than discussed. The tech called and kept in me updated throughout the process. Picking up Gio was smooth. Doc explained all and showed his dental pics and cleaned out his ears. Took time to answer other questions I had. Credited me from quote. Follow up day after is appreciated.

Very nice facility! Our first time we were met with treats for our dog Nala. We then brought her for an short vacation while we were away. She was very happy and they have some wonderful add-on's that are not available at other facilities. We are very pleased and will be back! We don't have any photos of the location but enjoy a picture of our puppy!

Can’t express how happy I am with Pet Medical Center and Spa. I have a very fearful dog who recently had a bad experience at a different veterinary clinic. Everyone here is so kind, professional and patient. They were so good with my dog - he received excellent care, and he was so much more at ease with them than he has been anywhere else. They also have doggy daycare and boarding!

My pet boarded here last month for 6 days and when I picked him up his eyes were red, watery, and couldn’t keep them open. He wasn’t active and slept a lot. I took him to the vet and they said that he caught some type of bacteria. It took my pet about 2 weeks to recover from this. He was fine when we dropped him from off but was sick when we picked him up.

Left my cat here for boarding and they did an excellent job taking care of him. He's a part of our family and I was dreading not seeing him for a while. They were able to administer his medications and special diet as I requested and the camera from the feline vip worked well. Very happy with their care.

My dog can be nervous with strangers / groomers and the staff here are AMAZING at making him calm down and feel comfortable. They are patient and genuinely care for the animals they're working with. I'm always happy with how quickly I'm able to get an appointment and I'm often in and out of the office fast too. Couldn't recommend them enough!

We love Pet Medical Center! They love my dog and treat her like their own when she stays. She has enjoyed the puppy play dates and one on one sessions with staff. After we board her they right a “report card” and tell us how she did and how she ate. I have taken her to board other places and she doesn’t seem as happy as when we walk into PMC &Spa! We moved our Veterinary services and grooming there as well for the convenience, and how comfortable my dog is in their facility. She does not act scared to see the veterinarian or even be in the room. This is worth the extra cost and longer drive, as she trusts and loves every person that works there.

I brought my cat here when she was about 9-10 years old because she had become a full time indoor kitty. She is a domestic long hair and seemed to be having a hard time keeping up with her own grooming and was getting a lot of mattes all of a sudden. When I brought her in for her appointment, I dropped her off, did some paperwork, and they said they would call me when she was ready. They completed all of her vaccinations, did her check up, and then groomed her. I picked her up by mid afternoon with a full report on my cat and she had an AMAZING lions cut. I was nervous that my cat would be stressed and give the groomers a hard time because she had never had this done before, but the office staff raved about how well behaved she was. I was bit unsure at first and just thought they might say that about all animals to keep their owners happy BUT, when they handed my kitty back in her crate she was meowing (which is to expected) but also so calm and content. You could tell she was feeling amazing and was not in any distress. I now take my kitty there for every grooming session that she needs and if I have any concerns, I can ask that the vet to do examination or her as well. At her last visit, I was concerned about a lump that I had found on her side and they aspirated it (with my permission) and put my mind at ease by letting me know it was just a fatty tumor. I just love them. I recently adopted a rescue pup and will be bringing her here as well!!!

Absolutely the best veterinarian care ever. Take my fur baby Princess Abbey, 12 pound 16 month old silver Dapple Miniature Dachshund, for all vaccinations as well as grooming and boarding. Cannot say enough good things about their front office staff, vet technicians, and veterinarians. Recommend without reservation. 🐾💕

We came in for a quote on a surgical procedure, they got us in within 2 weeks which considering we are new clients and all vets are pretty much at capacity, I was pleasantly surprised they could get us in that soon. Facility is clean, staff are very friendly and welcoming, my dog and I felt comfortable there. Beth and Dr. Johnston were fantastic. No they are not a low-cost clinic, but you really do not want to skimp on your pet's care if you don't have to.

The facility is very nice and they respond with test results and questions within 48 hours. They offer daycare as well as boarding with optional amenities that many other vet/boarding places do not have. Appointment times are always on time and they try their best to accommodate you for urgent cases. We have seen 3 different doctors here and they have all been very nice, knowledgeable and honest with their opinions on differential diagnosis. They will give you options for different test and treatment options, but it's up to you whether or not to pursue them. I never felt forced to go one way or the other. They are very pricey and you can expect to be charged a premium for their services compared to other vets in town. But I find they are very convenient in terms of location, appointments, turn around , response time and they are very in tune with current technology- like having apps and webcam access. In my opinion, that is worth the money. If money is an issue, it may be better to seek another vet in town who can offer the same medical services but maybe not give you that "spa" feel. To each their own.
