Good low cost shopping. Don't have a few specialty items or big selection of products. Meat and vegetable section small. But overall good for on a budget.

First of all, when I showed up there was no one at the registers. Me and a few others waited about 5 minutes to be helped with our purchase.I Never asked for a bag, but the cashier charged me for one anyways. I always put a few items in my tot when I am shopping. If I could give zero stars I would. I didn't know the cashier's name, but the cashier had blue eyes and light hair. I know it's only ten cents, but it's the principle of it. It only takes a few seconds to ask a customer if they need a bag... And because of customer service, I will take my money elsewhere.

I went to this store to get cat food, when I go to check out a employee walked up to me and accused me of stealing. He told me to pay for the items I had in my purse. I said what items and opened my purse. He said to me again pay for the items in your purse. I was so upset I dumped my purse out on the counter. I was so embarrassed. I left shaking and almost hit another car, I was so upset.

I came to buy ice cream and let me say this Sheyla the cashier need to stop racially profiling black kids with backpacks. So embarrassing to not even do it yourself and tell your coworker to “go tell those girls they need to leave their backpack in the front” while another groups of kids didn’t buy anything with no backpacks got told nothing who most definitely had sticky fingers. Gross experience.

This is ridiculous place to shop they always have things in their circular that they never have in stock their cashiers are ignorant and do not know how to apply or use their own coupons through their own app. The store is ALWAYS messy and dirty out of stock on lots of things they promote in their sales ad for products they don't even have or carry if you ask for help everyone is clueless and look at one another in shock like a deer in headlights do not shop here this is not worth the headaches or the time I will never be back to this store and I do not recommend it to anyone I wish they would have let it stay a Save Mart the cashiers were smarter then and the store was more organized to be honest I think I will just take my business to the Save Mart located on Ashlan and West from now on. It's only a 2 minute drive from this dump they always have items in stock if not they will give you a rain check the store is clean and organized and the workers are very helpful and knowledgeable.

The lines can get ridiculously long. I don't understand they stores have lots of cash registers but only have 1 or 2 people working at them. I can usually find what I'm looking for and it's well stocked. The customer is decent, I never had bad service. The strangest thing I witnessed was when two of the staff were arguing over near the pet section.When it comes to pricing, lots of their stuff is marked up ridiculously. I recommend only getting their stuff that's only on the weekly ad if you want good deals.

My family likes this store it's convenient when we forgot to get something it's nearby. Staff is okay. The managers need to share knowledge of a person having a service animal and what questions can be asked. It is not required to show proof of a service animal.

Your employees are stealing. Went in to grab some detergent. There were more than 10bags of the pods cut open on the bottom like from a box cutter and then filled up with store ads to make it look like. All the pods left on the shelf were filled like that. There are no signs that said you take it to the front to get a real one. I can see that to prevent stealing. Also the little plastic thing when the alarm goes off doesn't work.

Management needs to be more friendly. My husband needed to use the restroom. When he asked the cashier had to call to her manager for the key. They had to page twice before management came out. On top of it none of your managers help out when the lines are backed up. They are always in the office . Employees are always calling for help but the mangers never respond quickly.Now they are not letting anyone use the bathroom

Store is unorganized and over priced. A pack of 30 pack of mask cost $16 when you can go to Walmart and buy a pack of 50 for 6-12 bucks. Which seems more reasonable. Gotta wait in line for a good while because there is only one register open.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews but here is an honest review.Pros: Open until midnight.Cons: For the most part the store is very messy. The food area is okay but the meat I purchased was spoiled, which I did not know until opening it. They did allow me to return the item but the cashier was not happy about it. I guess I’m expected to eat it spoiled or not.You are also guaranteed to wait in a long line when checking out. What could be a quick 5-10 minute stop to purchase batteries - you will without a doubt be there 25-30 minutes.If you have your own bag the cashiers will not bag your items. They will scan the item set it to the side to allow you to bag your items. Because of limited space everyone behind you waiting in line will have to wait until you finish.Under staffed thus contributing to lack of cashiers available hence the reason why you can expect to spend and addition 15 minutes waiting in line.

I have tried to file multiple complaints against this location with Corporate, and never even get a call back about the issues despite repeated assurances that I will. I will attempt to list grievances with this location in receding order, starting with the most recent.1. I came in to purchase dish soap and paper plates. The paper plates were stacked with at least two tall "piles" or "towers" of plates, with a $2.50 tag. Yet at the register, it rang up for $3.00 (didn't notice until I got my receipt). I questioned the checker, and she scanned the UPC with her phone, showing the $3.00 price, and refused to confirm that the plates were listed as $2.50 on the shelf. Listing items on the shelf for a lower price than you charge for them, is guess what, ILLEGAL! I told her I would be calling corporate and walked out.----2. I needed to break two $20 bills (5's were fine) to do laundry as the laundry mat's coin dispenser doesn't take $20s (I had a lot to wash for my kids & I). A "supervisor" was helping a new cashier. I purchased something for like $3 (I needed only about $30, honestly for the laundry) and asked them to break another $20 while the drawer was open. The "supervisor" refused. So, I got back in line, grabbed a $0.60 candy and purchased that. Due to the coin shortage, she couldn't give me the $0.40 owed, so I said, "Well, you can either break my $20 I was originally trying to break and we cancel the purchase, and I can be on my way, or you can explain to corporate why you short changed a customer." They went ahead and short changed me, refusing to break the $20 without an individual purchase per $20 bill.----3. I am a disabled customer, and was dealing with an unrelated, minor injury but which makes it even more difficult to walk. I needed pita bread for my kids who wanted to do pita pizzas for dinner, and as I don't have a car, I would have to bus or walk to the store. So, I wasn't going to be able to search around town for what we need, and given that it was the weekend, I likely wouldn't have made it out of the store in my condition before the last bus ran if I didn't know for certain I was going to a store with pita bread.I tried calling this Doller General Market, Fruit/McKinley, which is within standard walking distance from me (and which the bus could help part way as well), but I couldn't get an answer. And I don't mean for like a few rings, I mean I stayed on until it would stop ringing and called back again twice.So, I called up a different location, thinking they would generally carry the same product. That store's manager answered. She was extremely friendly and was very sympathetic to my situation. She said their location is smaller so they don't have it, however she would be happy to take down my contact information and reach out to the McKinley/Fruit store I am complaining about to get assistance for me.Sadly, after a half hour neither myself nor she could reach the other store by phone, so she had to text the McKinley/Fruit store's manager. Meanwhile, I kept trying to track down pita bread within a not too far bussing distance to try to find it.An hour and a half later, we still had no response from the McKinley/Fruit store's manager.----4. The store hours are listed as closing at 10pm. For 2 years, this store will decide to close early at random times, every evening. Once, it was 9:20pm, and they said they were closed. Employees say that the manager "tries" to get corporate to change the times listed, but fails... Well, guess what, if it is advertised that the store is open until 10pm, and you close early, that is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND IS ILLEGAL.----I know there was another complaint I called in, but for the life of me, I can't remember it. However, I will be escalating this as the District Manager NEVER returns calls about issues, & even LIED in their system saying he/she called me for the most recent one. However, on said last corporate call, I had requested to bypass the District Manager for the Regional Manager, who also never called. So I may be left contacting the FTC.

I don't ever want to go back! No management! The employees are so slow.Always long lines because there's only 2 registers open..that's on a "good" day!The cashier that rang me up kept talking about how managers are in and outHigh turnover rate.He also kept stating how good the alcoholic beverage that I purchased was ..think he had a hangover.They truly need professional management!

It seems Dollar General is actually getting better items in their inventory.6 months ago the clerks were not helpful and could be somewhat confrontational , especially the revolving door of managers. Now,the store seems to be telling up.No more trash littering the parking lot and so far no one at the door begging for money. Great job!

The prices seem decent until you realize the actual amount of product is reduced to portions that are actually more expensive than vons or save mart. Usually clean. Also usually packed with only one register open. Check out usually takes from 10 to 30 min depending on how many items the silver haired granny has and how quickly she can sign her name because she still writes check. Or how much conversation the checkout girl with lip ring, tattoo and oversized eyelash wings has to have with the other employee that always seems to be on break.

Lots of good deals on medium to low quality items. Great place to get your cleaning products and cheap craft supplies. Seems to have a new cashier almost every week so the lines can move really slow sometimes. Also they are always trying to cram all of my stuff into 1 babg makes it to heavy to carry

For a smaller size store with low prices, it has a surprisingly large selection of goods. As normal now a days, a mask is required to enter. The doors are often locked so as to control the number of shoppers in the store at any particular time.

This store is great for pretty much anything that you need! They have a great variety of foods and toiletries and such. I get a lot of things here because it is really close to my house and convenient to shop here! The employees here are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this store!

Terrible, terrible place to shop! Fruits and veggies are always of bad quality! Too sort or moldy and flies everywhere. The customer service is even worse! There is ALWAYS only 2 lines open. And they will wait til the lines are wrapped around the corner and people are complaining until they open up another line. It's ridiculous! Every time I come in for one item I'm always waiting for about 10-15 minutes. The only reason I give them my business is because I live next door.

It stays open until 11pm because sometimes customers aren't done shopping so they really close at 10 but wait until the last customer is out and now that's old school customer service that's how it use to to be now a days this generation will not show the initiative and go that extra mile for the customer sometimes he will have that door closed and locked 15 minutes before closing time not one minute before not one minute after toll thank-you Dollar general for showing for showing customers how you feel an offering that customer service and going that extra mile

Somebody threw up on the floor and they wiped it up with a cheap spray and a rag. How about a mop??? Smelled funky and I stepped in it. Heard employees being profane. Ghetto area. The only reason this isnt a one star review is because some of the staff is cool.
