Sad to see this Walmart shut down as it's the closest one to my daughter's home. There was only 2 registers open (sometimes just 1) every time I went, but this location was convenient. The other Fremont location is too far.

Rude staff and rude security; As I was trying to find my way out of the building’s maze of inventory around closing time they called the police because I couldn’t hear the security guard over my headphones.. And this was after I very calmly and politely told him this and extremely clearly was not giving off any threatening or mischievous vibes.. just a nerd listening to music and trying to find the shortest unobstructed way to the front / exit from the back area where all the geek gadgets are…The police however were very friendly and almost got a chuckle of the situation! 🤣

It's a bummer to bid farewell to this Walmart, especially since it was so centrally located. Now, with just two others, both on opposite sides of Union City and outer Fremont, it's a bit of a trek. The service was pretty standard for Walmart - decent enough. This store was always well-stocked and convenient for quick shopping. Sad to see it shutting down soon. Right now, they're having a closing sale with everything at 50% off, but it's all final sale - no refunds or exchanges. There's not a ton left, but definitely worth a look to score some half-price finds.

I see why they closed the store the employees are the worst workers I’ve ever encountered . Today was the last day of the store being opened they closed it at 5pm I got out of there with bags of good bargains the ladies job was to put the bags in the cart forgot one of the bags I had to many to count as she bagged the items so I didn’t think to check everything until I got home. I have always got good bargains but the help is the poorest and service is bad. Buyer beware

Self checkout down to one functioning machine and ten items or less. Only two actual cashiers ringing and no other help to be found. Way too many things locked up and difficult to purchase. Walmart needs to hire more people, as much as they would like to avoid it. On par with Dollar Tree and Dollar General at this point. Honestly close some locations if you are unable or unwilling to properly staff. The poor store staff always looks over worked and underpaid

They didn't have any of the breakfast items I needed. Every location should have more than pork options.We were told, after standing in line for 20 minutes, that we would need to stand in a separate line to get batteries. Seems like a quick fix would be to store the batteries in a central location or for the employee to grab the batteries from the case for the customer.

This location seems cleaner, more organized and calm. Just like at any other busy retailers, staff is stocking and not saying anything to shoppers. But I like to browse in peace anyway. The only downside, they don't accept TAP PAYMENTS?? REALLY?? That's a little frustrating, cuz not everyone carries a wallet these days... Conveniently located close to BART. That is all.

Am regular visitor near to my place, not so busy for buying but return always have a huge line and they are very slow. restrooms can be managed better at point of time its bad...pickup has to be improved they are slow there too sometime no one will be there and you have to just wait...

This is your average Walmart. Not the biggest selection of items, not enough registers open for the amount of people in the line.I did have a really positive experience with one of the cashiers this evening named Ann. She was informative and very kind. Employees like her are what make a place that is ok, better.

Walmart is a really great store! I have been living in Fremont for years and I always used to go here for shopping. I really hope they don’t close as a lot of customers will be upset due to this. 😭 Walmart will be greatly missed.

Always filled stocked. Employees are super friendly unlike the Osgood location. This one feels smaller but it has almost everything except the car service and tires. Best thing about this is that it is dedicated parking, McDonald's inside.

Came to return an item on a Friday evening to be told their system is shut down and that they shut it down at 6PM. Fine, but I arrived at 5:45 PM???This is the second time I’ve tried returning something at this location to be given the same excuse for not being able to process my return.Absolutely horrendous customer service. Avoid this location if you want to return anything.

When did this even become a thing?I came to get socks from the locked clear doors they have them behind. She opens the door for me, eyes me up and down like if that wasn’t weird enough then she doesn’t even let me have them as a shop around ? She tells me she’s gonna leave them with another cashier so I can get them when I pay.Usually I’m always just given the socks or item and I continue shopping , what was this old lady on about ? Her name was kartha, or something like that.

Goodbye Walmart! Many people will miss your location! It's too bad that shoplifters seem to be one of the reasons why this Walmart is shutting down. Walmart in Albrae, Fremont will be greatly missed! There is NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES! ALL SALES ARE FINAL! LINES WILL BE LONG SO DON'T COME IF YOU'RE IN A HURRY!

I was so saddened to have seen these employees at this Walmart treat the homeless so terrible. It made me uncomfortable and sad that as those people are already in a bad place in life that representatives from a Walmart would be so unprofessional with total disregard. The man was simply asking for help with an item and he was representatives was repeatedly ignored and eventually thrown out because he was getting upset nobody would help him. I will not be shopping here anymore. Rocking the American flag and still treated so bad

The worst experience at a Walmart there was no sign going in so I used the restroom went to wash my hands and staff said just use sanitizer was is turned off I had soap on my hands a little late plus eeewwww🤢🤢 I don't like hand sanitizer it hurts my hands so I had to go ask an associate for directions to the next restroom to wash my hands

Love this walmart! Always clean and workers are friendly...I've been noticing a few items disappearing and not coming back. Not sure why especially when I can find the product at other Walmart. Will have to check up on this...keep up the good work Walmart you're my favorite one!

Wal Mart is closing May 24 due to "poor financial performance". One thing for sure is I never even knew there was one here. It's hidden! No visibility at all. Bad location 😕

It is a good store for all household stuff and due to the larger inventory they don’t put more items in their display. But definitely, you can search their website and put a store pick up and these guys are good too. I never had any issue with the staff here, they are all helpful.

In general, an okay general purpose store. Two stars due to a few not great shopping experiences described below:1) They unfortunately were really understaffed/not very organized when I came to buy makeup. I had to run around and ask multiple people since no one was at the makeup counter. Another person who was shopping commented that a Walmart employee didn’t notice or respond to me for a while when I tried to ask for help. The lady who eventually was supposed to help me/was the only person who had access to the cosmetics cabinets forgot to meet me there and got sidetracked with something else.2) I also had a not great experience at their pharmacy where I had to wait extra long for some needed medication for a consultation where the staff member in question read the already provided instructions. They also delayed a prescription from my provider because of a logistical issue- I had to redo the order for some desperately needed medication for a serious injury.

This location is very huge and clean and the check out lines were not long. The only downside is the restroom. Other than that I highly recommend this location.

Worst inventory management at this location. Not the first time I am seeing an expired product with fungus in the aisle. Check the attached pictures for reference. Today is July 23rd and the product expired on 6th July sitting in the aisle with fungus in it. Pricing on some products are high compared to the app. They are out of sync. You have to call the associate to override the price. I don't know how this location passed health safety with all the expired products and fungus in the shelves.

It's good for shopping when prices are reduced. I bought tennis 🎾 equipment it's working well.bought eggs 🥚 too but some of the eggs are broken.
