Let's do the positives first: Kumar was clearly knowledgeable and very friendly, with fair prices. I paid about $110 for my 35-pound mini bernedoodle to get nails clipped, washed, haircut, the whole shebang. Something interesting about Kumar is that he doesn't take tips, so that takes tipping pressure off of the customer.However, I'm not sure if I'll be going back. Three things I was displeased with are:1. He cut my dog's whiskers, something a groomer is not supposed to do. It's not terrible for a dog's whiskers to be cut, but it's also not great for them either.2. He told me with the short length of cut he'd given my dog, that there was no need to brush my dog's hair for at least a month. I should not have blindly accepted this, as it turned out that after about three weeks, my dog's hair was matting.3. The haircut was uneven. When I looked my dog in the face the day of his haircut, one side of the hair on his snout was noticeably longer than the other.

Kumar has been grooming our cocker spaniel Dodo for the past few years. If you want a groomer that genuinely cares about your pups and is always going the extra mile, Kumar is your guy. What I like about Kumar aside from my dog looking like a prince is how helpful he is. Many times he’s stayed late talking to me and giving me much needed advice on how to best be a doggie parent. If you’re thinking about getting your dog groomed look no further. Dodo approved !

Highly recommend Kumar! Kumar is above 5 stars. This is our chow’s first time since we haven’t been able to get her to other groomers, and got sent back. Kumar was like she will be fine and will see you later in about 3 hrs or you can come get her later. We were in shock. Kumar took care of Chuchoo’s needs with his open arms and with excellent results. Kumar really cares and loves the dogs. He also gave us tips and shared how we can work with Chuchoo. Chuchoo doesn’t like especially male, she left with a big wiggly tails to Kumar. Thank you Kumar! Look no further, I don’t think I would see any kinder place than the Original Grooming! Kumar did a wonderful job with our dog! She came to us as a rescue so we didn't know if she has been to a groomer before. She looks so awesome now, and definitely looks younger with much of the bulk gone! She got a fluffy trim and all 9 yards. Thank you, Kumar! We will definitely be back! Before pic is the outdoor one.

We had been taking our samoyed to Petsmart and usually getting him shaved. His coat is so hard to maintain.We took him in to Original Grooming and Kumar recommended that we don't shave him. Kumar was able to bath and brush my dog without shaving. My dog looks great and still smells amazing.Kumar went out of his way to do what was best for my dog and he spent a lot of time and effort on it. We're so pleased and we'll continue going to Original Grooming regularly.

Kumar does outstanding work at a fair price. He cuts, shampoos, grinds nails, cleans ears, and even BRUSHES his teeth. I never been able to do that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Kumar is plain awesome! I had to look for another groomer because my dog has anxieties and the last time he was groomed he clung to me for the next 3 days (had multiple cuts behind his ears too). Kumar came recommended from my community group and I am so glad I found him. I was shocked when I went to get my dog back and he was happy! He seems pretty happy 5 hours later. Also, it's pretty obvious that this is more than a business for him. He truly cares for dogs. He gave me a whole tutorial on how I should be brushing my doodle. Do not look for anyone else. He is it!

Kumar is by far one of the best groomers we’ve encountered. He handles dogs with such great care, our dog loves him. Sometimes our dog has tons of tangles which are a hassle to remove, and while most places would shave the pet completely, Kumar is able to get around it. We’ve loved every single one of Kumar’s haircuts so far and are still yet to be disappointed. We highly recommend Original Grooming!

Kumar did an amazing job with my senior blind dog. We’ve been to 4 different groomers in the San Jose area and never found a good fit. Usually we are nervous leaving our dog with groomers but when we met Kumar we could immediately tell he was different. He was great with our dog and groomed him quicker than other groomers we been to but did the best job. We definitely found our new groomer. Thanks again Kumar! :)

Daniel here did a fantastic job with our Westie mix. Our pet came back fresh and length of his hair is just right. His nails were also trimmed and teeth brushed. Price is 120 not including tips and just right for four hours of grooming. Daniel informed us the process via text. We dropped our dog off and came back for pick up. Our pet is well treated. We would come back again.

I have a mini poodle who's extremely wiggly when getting groomed. After Petco in Union City gave him back because they couldn't handle him, I took him to Kumar and stayed with him since.It's been over a year now, Kumar has been amazing with my dog! He's always punctual and my dog looks great everytime.

Kumar is wonderful! My husband and I were referred to him by our other groomer. He takes his time to understand what haircut you're looking for on your baby (dog). We're also one of those harsh parents too that can be sceptical and particularly picky at first but Kumar stayed professional, patient and kind with us. We and our baby (dog) trust in Kumar! This is the best place to have your pet groomed.My dog is 6 years old we never could take her anywhere because we were afraid of her being upset and this place treated her as if she was their own puppy. I want something and all comes to me sure that they get all the accuracy deserve Ruby was our groomer and by far she brilliant my dog loved her and she deserves a prize

Kumar is very friendly, pleasant to talk to and is a very good groomer. He takes care of my senior dog well during grooming session by being very gentle with him. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with him. Thanks Kumar!

Took my labradoodle to Original Grooming today for a bath al, brush and cleanup and trim. After two and a half hours I picked my pup looking gorgeous. Kumar was so kind in giving me quick tips to maintain Ace’s coat. Gifted me a brush and showed me what to do. Also gave me a toothbrush and gave me confidence to brush Ace’s teeth buy giving tips. Seems like a lot of fake 5 star reviews! Had my dog groomed at this location several weeks ago and overall it was a very mediocre experience. My dog's cut overall was terrible compared to my previous grooming location. Would recommend doing more research before selecting a new grooming location, preferably via word of mouth!
