Nice store, polite staff, clean.. Aggravated me because a worker trying to sell a cage basically refused to sell my friend a guinea pig because he wouldnt spend another 150$ on a cage - when she hadnt even seen pics of how big the cage is he already has

Always helpful, well-stocked, not priced outrageously. Their THRIVE vetenarian services are the best in Orange County - top-notch care at the very best price. They've been great for my 19-year-old cat as well as my eight week old cat. A special hats-off to Jennifer, who is just beyond awesome!!

Went in to buy some fish food and saw horrible treatment of the betta fish. I studied marine biology so i don’t expect big coporate stores to have the best care of their fish in comparison to what i think is right but this was just inhumane. it’s so sad to see fish die over not receiving simple care or even water changes. in the photos there is a picture of a dead betta and the other bettas. i notified the cashier so hopefully the dead one will at least be removed from the floor. i wish i could’ve taken them all home and showed them clean water and a better life :(

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, as I think it negatively affects the business, impacts people's income, and has a cascade effect that many people may not realize. I try to be understanding, compassionate, and know that we're all trying our best, especially in customer service jobs (of which I've had many in the past). However, my experience here must be shared. I have a ragdoll cat that was left to us after his original owner couldn't take care of him. He's docile and well trained and has all of his shots up to date. After 5 months of having him in my house, I wanted to give him a good haircut and wash and decided to book an appointment here for a haircut. Most PetSmart locations are insanely picky about appointments for cats and although I tried visiting another location, I wasn't able to book a spot, so I went online, found this location (where they explicitly claim that they can offer haircuts to cats in particular) and was able to book an appointment in three weeks' time with someone named Cassie O. After patiently waiting for THREE LONG WEEKS, I got Maui (ragdoll cat) ready, got his rabies shot papers in order (to prove that he was up to date in his paperwork and immunity) and came here half an hour early. Cassie O. was cordial and provided excellent customer service. I shared info about Maui and asked to please give him a lion's cut. She said that she'd only be able to do a shorter one, and I was completely ok with that, as it had been almost 7 months since the last time Maui had a haircut and the poor little fella was truly struggling carrying all of that hair around. After she took the carrier to the back and spent at most 2 minutes (I couldn't see well since it was about 25 feet away from the service desk) she came back and claimed that as she was opening the carrier, Maui tried to bit her and she said she wouldn't be able to give him a haircut there (self-preservation, I get it). She then referred me to a different store (a vet) that does it since they have access to sedation and all of that stuff. The interesting thing is that, as soon as a got the carrier back and opened it up, Maui was as docile as a puppy and wasn't really aggressive at all. Even if he would had been a bit more difficult with them, I would have understood, but he seemed well behaved to me.. Just the fact that they make you wait for three weeks because there are no spots available at one of the few of their stores that they claim can take care of cats, and then refuse to provide the service, is a bit unprofessional and truly a massive waste of time. Had I known they weren't going to try and give him a haircut, I would have found another place sooner. Now the earlier I was able to get the new appointment was for July 14, oh well... . Just don't come here for grooming services if you have any type of cats, as they would just refer you to a clinic in HB where they can sedate him. Props for the lady for being kind and professional in her dealing with me, though. I'll be fair and will mention that in her favor. Customer service was truly top notch (except for the actual part of providing the service though )

A few weeks ago, I adopted my russian hamster there. She's a sweet little girl! She isn't tamed yet but we'll get there. Although you could use some bigger cages. This is her playing in a cardboard box. My little cutie! 💕

Nope nope nope! Definitely never coming back here. I took my dog for the 4th time here. Things always seemed fine. My dog is never aggressive and we always get positive feed back. This weekend i came in and dropped my dog off. She’s really small and gentle. When she came out she was crying so much! We figured she was just a little scared since it was 2 hours. When she came home she was panting really bad and wouldn’t drink her water. she wouldn’t let us touch her and she’s never like this! I noticed her being very alert and a stressed out. She threw up 3 times. She was perfectly fine the night before and the morning of being her happy usual self . Made appointment with vet- from the looks of it they may of given her something perhaps to calm her down, but why not tell me or ask me first? I’ve always heard people saying they aren’t careful with the dogs or they treat them really bad but figured it was just because the dogs were really aggressive..

We came in to buy some items for my pet snake and my boyfriend’s pet tarantula, everything was fine but once we got to the cashier to pay for our things we told her that we wanted to pay half of it with cash and the rest on card. We handed her $190+$200 in cash and payed $125 on my card but I noticed that the cashier only put in $137 in cash when I was POSITIVE we handed her more than $137 because it didn’t add up that I handed her a $100 and a $50 along with the rest. I doubled checked with one staff and talked to the cashier and replied with “I must’ve counted wrong” and I believe the manager decided to recount the register but apparently the charge was correct but we was still confused on how the $150 changed into just me handing her $137? I asked to speak to another person and even the store manager and they both were saying that they were correct and weren’t no errors, like are you saying we don’t know how to count money? I work as a cashier so I know what I handed to the cashier wasn’t anywhere near $137! I was already frustrated and at the end of the day they gave us $57 dollar back but will never come back again, the manager needs to make sure their employees know how to work at the register and not just hire anybody who doesn’t even know basic math.

Have brought my dog consistently about once a month for nail trims and they always take excellent care of her and get her in and out of her appointments quickly.Great store with a wide selection of everything one could need for their pet. Employees are super friendly and consistently offer excellent customer service.

I love Petsmart I just always feel sadly for some of their betta fish:;( I brought a Male betta up to the front asking if I could get a discount because he looked awful.. the lady actually tried to tell me that he was supposed to be swimming on his side like that!!😂😂😂 luckily she sent him to the back for treatment:-)!

This store is too woke for me. I used to shop here for pet supplies but will be going elsewhere. Petsmart also touts their $200,000 donation to GLSEN, a K-12 education program known for supporting in-school child gender transition without parental consent, biological men competing in girls' sports, and incorporating gender ideology teachings in subjects like math.

They staff is very friendly. Only thing is name brand foods are harder to find and out of stock alot now. Nothing due to the store just shippments. I buy more now from chewy or outside sources to find the food and treats needed

I took my dog in to get a trim and a bath and first the groomer Robert was 15 min late to our appointment and then he shaved the top of our dogs nose and side of his face. He looks ridiculous. If you get Robert as your groomer run! I called and spoke with the manager and they’re going to try and fix it. I do appreciate the fact that they are willing to correct the horrible trim so I changed my rating from a 1 to a 3.

The staff is always very welcoming and patient. The conditions in which they keep their fish still need improvement (betta cups desprately need to at least cleaned more often, the tanks such as the neon tetra or ottocinclus tank also need work ) I frequent this store about 2-3 times a month on various days of the week, maybe I am arriving the days before they do water changes. Overall tho, they provide quality customer service 👌

Best place to shop for your little ones. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. Wide variety of choices. Never too busy, and if the lines start to get long, they open another register fast.
