I purchased my Lionchu “Chunk” from King Koi about 7-8 months ago and couldn’t be happier with my sweet fish and with King Koi’s customer service. I hate to call it “customer service” because when you call you will get a King Koi representative who has just as much love for fish as I do and they ALWAYS put up with my questions, even 7 months later. King Koi is located in CA and I live in FL. That is about the farthest in the US that something can be shipped, approx. 4000 miles. Chunk arrived exactly when expected and he was in perfect condition. With the help of King Koi I got him acclimated in his new home. No stress, no issues. Chunk is so fun and he always greets me when I walk by his home (tank) so I honestly couldn’t be happier. Best purchase this year and that says a lot because I’m a bit of a shopper. Kudos to Eddie and the gang at King Koi!

After ordering from King Koi multiple times over the years I was very disappointed in my latest purchase. I ordered 4 Oranda's with one of them being a Panda Oranda (should be white with black spots). This particular Oranda started turning completely Orange with some black and white...NOT the true color of the Panda I ordered, meaning this is not what is listed. Instead of taking my customer loyalty into considerations and sending me the appropriate fish I received a call from, Eric, to tell me they did send the right fish and they had nothing to make right....I was disappointed and let him know I would not be ordering from their company again. He proceeded to call me multiple times however I did not answer as it would lead to no solution. Be AWARE what you order may not be what you receive and they claim the color may change due to lighting or genetics.....so they expect you to keep the fish in dark light (how are we suppose to enjoy the fish?)

King Koi helped me choose a beautiful Oranda to be friends with my Ranchus. She is active, healthy & beautiful. She is friends with the Ranchus who are slower than she is. Beautiful fish & great customer service!

I got my male betta in today and he looks so good. He was in the mail for 2 days and is hardly stressed, was well packaged, and is now enjoying his new home! For my first time buying a fish online it was a pleasant experience, I have ordered reptiles online before and was nervous about a fish but he is totally fine.

Great experience! Virtual online shopping appointment done with employee and they shipped it out within hours to arrive the next day (in Virginia) overnight by noon!My two orandas have been doing great and they are as beautiful as the online photos! I can’t wait to order my future fishies from King Koi Goldfish! Very happy! ☺️🐟🐟

Friendly staff that's happy to geek out with hobbyists about their goals and setups for our tanks/ponds. It goes w/o saying they also have a clean store with clean tanks and healthy fish. All fish are available online for purchase as well which really goes above and beyond. I recommend this store and it's very much worth the drive to come down and visit! Once my 55 gal is finished colonizing with a complete food web, I'm returning to King Koi to purchase my apex predators for the meta: GOLDFISH!

I got 2 fish and waited about a month to write a review. They were quick to acclimate, they didn't really seem to be stressed at all. The water they arrived in was clean, and they didn't just double bag them they triple bagged them! I got an oranda and a pearlscale. I got little 3 inch babies, already in the short amount of time I've had them they've grown about an inch. My pearlscale is starting to get fatter, and his pearl scales are developing already. The pearlscale grew a bit before they shipped him, and because he looked a little different from the pictures I chose on their website they offered to cancel the order, pick a different fish of equal value, or proceed with the order. I proceeded with the order. They also sent updated pictures. I honestly don't think I'll buy goldfish anywhere else again. King Koi & Goldfish I will be shopping with you again! Thank you so much for the passion you put into the care and quality of your fish.In the photos, the full orange comet did not come from them. The calico oranda and red and white pearlscale did. The Comets name is Lucky, the Orandas name is Chibi, and the Pearlscale is Munch

I ordered not one but 2 goldfish from this company. I work a lot in Michigan and was nervous I wouldn’t be able to be home for the shipment of fish I called the shop and spoke to them and they helped me to get my fish sent on a Monday to be here Tuesday (my day off). I also had one of the fish lose some scales they were very helpful in guiding me in how to help with that and how to properly quarantine my new fish. Truly a wonderful helpful staff and they bred really good healthy fish. 10/10 would recommend this shop

I ordered fish from them online (young ryukin pair) almost a month ago. At first, they had texted me explaining that the pair that i had originally selected were no longer available, but that they were happy to replace the order with any other pair from their site. The employees on the phone were very nice, easy to work with, and understanding. (great customer service) Anyways, once the whole fish situation was sorted out, they got shipped almost immediately. The two were shipped overnight and came when the company said they would. They came in a well packaged and protected box and arrived happy and healthy. After putting them in their new tank, they settled quickly and adapted to their new home. Been about a month since we got them and they've been thriving and being their own silly little selves. Would 100% buy from them again :)

I bought a giant Betta and a week later they told me to pick another one because they don't have that one anymore. I bought another and it shipped immediately and arrived on time very healthy and safe...and not giant. It's at least a year old now (I saw it online in December and ordered in June and had it for over 6 months) and it's smaller than my Bettas from Petco. I spent $60 on this fish and I never would have spent more than $25 if I knew it wasn't giant. I emailed them a picture but I hate taking my fish out of water so the picture could have shown the size better but you can see that it's barely over 2 inches in my opinion. They responded pretty quickly and told me their giant Bettas are apparently 2.5 to 3 inches.I wanted a partial refund but they gave me a $15 gift card that I can only use at King Koi. I guess that's better than nothing but shipping costs $10 so basically I have $5 to spend... I buy 2 Amazon swords, and have to give them more money because it's like $23 but it's my last purchase. I get my plants and they are packaged really safe. Except one is absolutely terrible most of the leaves are snapped off or cut with scissors. It didn't happen in shipping because the other one was perfect. After taking off the broken stems I was left with to little stems you can see in the tank picture. I gave 2 stars because they never would have sold that to someone in the store or someone buying only one. It should have been an extra. I won't get a refund and I don't was another gift card because you have to spend more than the gift cards worth to get anything, it's their way of making more money.

I did not know what to expect as this was my first time having a fish shipped to me but King Koi really took care in packing and the result is a happy healthy fish. So thrilled with my decision. I bought fishes (Thai orandas) twice from these guys at King Koi. Both times were very great experiences. In both cases, my fish arrived very frisky, healthy and clean. First batch came with FedEx ground, and I flew in the second batch. The staff were also super helpful and always answered all my calls/questions. Would I recommend them? YES. Healthy fat and clean fishies. Very fair pricing for the quality of fish you are getting. Lauren was SUPER patient with me when i was talking out loud trying to pick fish. The quality was so good it took me an hour to pick 3 fish! The carry many of the hard to find fish supplies and more rare species of fancy goldfish and koi.

Ordered a black oranda goldfish and a calico ranchu goldfish from them right after the holidays, super glad they don’t ship when it’s peak shipping season! Fish arrived active and alert, packaging was VERY insulated, and they ate the night they were put into the aquarium. I can’t wait to watch them grow!

Now I don't know how the store front is, I'm writing about a recent online order,of plants, that I've received.So their website looks good. Beautiful photos and good layout overall. Ordering was very simple. Associate I've spoken to over the phone was very professional.Now when I received my plant order the package was packed well. Styrofoam insulation, plants were bagged and sealed. Upon further inspection of the plants, I ordered 7 in all, 4 were in really bad shape(2/3's of the leaves missing, broken stems and melting leaves) and the remaining 3 were better but not far behind from the other 4. I'm not all that confident that the rest of the plants can recover. I've taken photos of some of the plants and I do not believe that the 2 days it spent in transit would be the culprit. I have received a refund for 4 of the plants but I still cannot in good faith recommend ordering "plants" from King Koi & Goldfish. Pictures on their website are misleading.

I’m very pleased with their selection of fancy goldfish and biweekly (twice a week) listings of new stock. As an online consumer, I have seen no other that offers deals as low as KKG does. From my experience, customer service was top-notch:- Always replied to my emails within 36 hours- Stayed in contact with me post-arrival, when I showed concerns about a ranchu’s behaviour- Immediately granted me a replacement ranchu (1 of 2 ranchu from my original purchase arrived in murky water and shortly passed)It has been over a week since my purchase from KKG and I’m happy to say that my pair of ranchus are doing very well and getting along better than expected.Thank you KKG!

Just placed my third order with king koi and goldfish unfortunately the fish I wanted didn’t pass inspection never had this happen before but they quickly reached out to me and had gave me the option to chose a replacement fish which I did and everything is squared away.. it would be nice to have the option to purchase the fish in the future that I couldn’t receive hence I really wanted it and it had a super unique color pattern but other then that I have zero complaints.

We got 3 oranda goldfish delivered yesterday. All were packaged very well and very healthy upon arrival. We appreciated how well their system is layed out with email and tracking notifications . It was also very easy to choose our specific fish and appreciated we were able to choose specific fish online . Out of the 3 fish only one showed any signs of slight distress and that only lasted for about 2 hours and it has been smooth sailing since . Much healthier fish then what we have to travel 4 hours from where we are located (Kansas Nebraska border ) to get. Also their fish food (hikari purple ) was best price we could find to order online while we were at it and plan to buy more in the future . I have purchased a few. They all have a slight buoyancy issue but eat well.I was recently informed from someone else that had gotten a fish from this place that died and it was confirmed to have fish TB which is contagious to humans too. There is no cure for the fish apparently. Possibly might still be in their water systems. I don't know though. I've tried contacting them about it but they keep deleting my comments on their page.

Really can't express how happy I was with the customer service and my goldfish from this business. After years of waiting I was finally ready to get my dream goldfish and it was extremely important to me I got the perfect ones.
