This is a beautiful remote yet comfortable place along the Salmon River, with cabins, ponds, and lots of lawn! Nice access to the river, with a small beach. My husband Steve plus fellow musicians Rex and Stephan were booked to play acoustic music there.

Where I did my first "combat roll" on the Cal Salmon. A marvelous place and wonderful experience to learn kayaking skills at Otter Bar Lodge.

If you have any interest in kayaking, either to learn from experts or hone your skills, there is no better place than Otter Bar Lodge. The setting (in Northern California) is spectacular and the food and lodging are first/rate. Peter and Christy Sturges have been hosting folks from all over the world for three decades and nobody does it better.
