I stopped for sandwiches before going kayaking on the River. Pretty good selection. And the dark rye doesn't have any caraway seeds (it bugs me sometimes that everyone feels compelled to put caraway seeds in rye)! Otherwise, it's a good place to stop for just about anything. It kind of works as a general store, with a small aisle of non-food items.

Not happy with this place the prices have become more than ridiculous. I have lived here in Hacienda for 20+ years and always supported Berrys Market appreciated having a convenience Store in our neighborhood. I understand inflation this store is straight price Gouging. $1100 for a 12 eggs???????? Drove a mile down the street to Speers Market got a large box of 18 eggs for 3 dollars less which is still high but I can live with that. Why does big Sam get to price Gouge Us and fill his pockets. Never shopping there again!!!

Make sure you get your receipts! I let the clerk know the beverages I was purchasing had a sale sign 2 for $7. Clerk said it would come up on the register. I noticed sale prices weren't coming up. He said it would come off at the end. He finished my sale and handed me my purchases without a receipt. I requested the receipt, and as expected, the receipt did not contain any sales prices.

Super convenient store with tons of drinks. The fresh cookies are good. I have never tried the sandwiches but they look ok.

Since changing ownership months ago, the quality of the sandwiches has changed for the worse. Old sandwiches, rancid potato salad and macaroni salad...as well as crumb cakes so old/hard they could be used as a weapon. I've talked to the new owner about this. He doesn't seem to care and was offended. The girls who work there are as friendly as ever....always pleasant and welcoming.

I love local small community markets like this where the staff remember you and you build a repertoire with them. If you are nice and kind, they are nice and kind. Because of the location in a tourist heavy route, they get some wankers in so don't get your panties in a bunch if they seem tired late on a Friday or not personable enough. They are the only Market in the area and tend to get a lot of people coming in, especially during the summer weekends.

Worst customer service ever! Hubby went in last week and was treated so rude, by the guy in the evening. We have been coming here for 17 years when it was Berry's it was way better. They do not rotate stock or keep things in stock, so many times things in the grab and go were old, the baked goods stale. So we stopped buying those things. The ladies who work the sandwich bar have always been so nice, I will miss them, but we just can't support a business that hires bad employees and treats it's regulars so bad.We will go to speer's off mirabel more, they have great customer service and keep things in stock as well as rotated and fresh.

Best $6 sandwich on the Russian River. Typical funky country store staffed by friendly locals. If you're a tourist staying at a VRBO and need a phone charger, a flashlight, a six pack of IPA and a couple of yummy turkey sandwiches this is where you go.

Excellent selection and deli with fresh sandwiches and salads and ... piroshki! Hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning too. And Svenhardt's pastries ... you see? Excellent beer collection too including dark beers and stouts.

Wife flipped out on the sandwich person for something not related to sandwiches. I was in no mood for drama, so I went out on the porch with my dog and watched the river rats run around in beat up cars. After who knows how long, she came out with a 14 dollar sandwich. We split it. Meh for that kinda price.

New owner, not the same place.Very over priced.The sandwiches are small, not a lot of meat, lots of flys. There are vagrants in front of the store at all hours of the day..I would say for the same price you can go to Spears Market in Forestville on Maribel Rd and get a better sandwich, better customer service/treatment.

I stopped at Sam's Market to use the ATM one day. It smelled so good when I walked in the door that I stayed for lunch. Great edible choices and prices too.

Been coming here for generations. since it was called Berry's! Still has same wooden floors. Historic old Forestville feel. Also carries fishing bait! Great Russian River stop!

Kinda slow. Over 10 min to get a couple cigars. Parking out front kind of unclear & confusing due to no striping. Hint: drop a couple bucks Sam & get some new signs for the side parking area that say Sams instead of Berrys. But hey, they are the only mini mart in that area and as far as convienience stores go, it doesnt get more convienient than that.

Atually has a pretty good selection of Red or White fine wine choices to grab for your last minute of forgot to grab before you departed civilization for what some might call the far end of western civilization
