Just can't say enough how great this place is. They are so kind and helpful everytime anyone in my family needs help. Prices are very competitive even all the way up the hill. They also just have a little of everything. Stores like this make living in the country possible. Thanks

Very helpful and curtious staff. A little bit more pricey then a franchise, but a good selection. The convenience of not having to make the 17 mile drive back to Auburn or Colfax more then makes up for the minutely inflated prices. Besides its good to support local mom&pop business. The only negative thing I have to say is I wish they would invest in a website to list inventory.

I can usually find exactly what I need there and the staff are wonderful with helping. Keep the money on the divide and visited Grants!Updated: the knowledgeable staff are what make this place great as well as being friendly. Picked up a few items today, Jim asked about my kids and we chatted for a while. A nice end to a long day.

Grants Hardware has been one of Foresthill Business which has lasted throughout all the years were other Businesses have failed. Today Grant's Hardware has all the products which every DIY person needs from time to time. Anything from a 1 inch nail, to a 20 foot 2×12. There is paint and accessories, nails, screws, drills, hoses,adapters a that "thing a ma bob" everyone can use. All at a great price, especially with the price of gas and nearest Hardware store 30 miles away. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and ready to assist you.

Great hardware store. I love the small town atmosphere. After just a couple trips the employees know me and are very helpful and kind. They have almost anything you can think of and that's very convenient.

They know what they are doing. When you picture small town hardware store, think Grant's. Surprisingly good selection of items. Friendly staff with one 'feisty' older lady who is really sharp on fix-it questions. (Not likely to find this knowledge base at big box store)

It is always surprising to me what all they have at this place! I get stuff there right off the shelf that they don’t even have at HomeDepot. If they don’t have the hardware you are looking for, chances are they can order it and you get it within 2 or 3 days (I did have to order larger quantities of lag screws, that’s why I know). As for the pricing you might be in for a pleasant surprise also. The bulk prices for carriage bolts and lag screws are really competitive. Overall pricing is comparable to “down the hill” pricing. If something is a few cents more it’s usually not worth the ride down the hill. I give Rick, Donna & the team a big thumbs up.

Very disappointed that the staff are still not taking the Covid 19 mask wearing recommendations seriously. Unless the employees are being regularly tested to be sure they are not infected, which I highly doubt, they are potentially exposing each customer as they enter the store. As much as I like to support them with my business I am appalled by this lack of consideration for customers and feel that Home Depot, for example, is doing a much better job in being considerate particularly for those of us in more vulnerable cohorts.

Great neighborhood hardware store. Call ahead to make sure they carry what you're looking for. Hardware, lumber, gardening, etc. also equipment rentals like log splitters etc. Best staff on hand, always friendly and helpful.

Tucked away in a mountain setting, this little hardware store has just about everything you could possibly need to fix a broken water pipe, saw ,gifts,.. tools, paint, and also some lumber, and fencing supplies. I couldn't be more happy, because it's also family owned, and the staff is very very helpful.
