Definitely a neat trail. I could see how markers in spots could improve it but someone has done work laying rocks or sticks/logs for easier following. It was pretty well maintained. Lots of wildlife and plants. Many different birds and mammals. Some of it is shaded so that's nice in the hot sun. I did see a mountain lion on the trail a few miles up so be prepared and always vigilant! Good luck and be safe!

We went nov 20 during a snow storm. It was very easy to access. Very clean, gorgeous, not too many visitors during the week. Great spot to enjoy snow with little ones as there is plenty of parking, bathrooms available to the public, and you are able to get back to the city quickly in case of an emergency, local restaurants seem cozy and friendly. The trail is easy to follow. Overall great experience! Forest Falls is the best!

Beautiful area to take the entire family! This trail goes a lot further than we ever go but the kids just love hanging around the river and climbing on rocks and in the sand. It’s a nice escape from the city and smog. You’ll enjoy fresh air and the smells of nature that will keep you coming back.

Good hike. Easy on the first mile and a little strenuous later on as you climb higher. Some area of the trail were loose but overall well maintained. There's no marker but it's obvious where the trail is.

Nice and easy beautiful scenery. Maybe make the entrance a little smooth not made for a car of any sort you will scrap bad. Some restrooms would be lovely. Also maybe a branch or two more. Make the trash more easily accessible.

Tough hike, steep uphill climb to start that doesn't level out for about 4-5 miles. But beautiful views, well worth the work and great weather! Stopping by the creek on the way out to cool off is a must.

I love going down to the creek and listening to the water. It's very relaxing. When the creek is calm, there are a couple good areas to go and soak your feet and let the kids get in. The water is always fairly cold, so be ready for that. It will be hard for some people to get down to the creek and especially to go across and hit the trail when the water is flowing.

I didn't have time to hike the entire trail, but I loved what I did get to travel! Next time, I'm going to definitely get there earlier and see what's on the rest of the trail. I didn't see any waterfalls....but there was a small river. Unfortunately, it trickles down to nothing pretty quickly. Maybe up the stream is where the waterfalls are, but that was the opposite direction of the trail....I heard a ton of coyotes too!

Great place to come for a hike, picnic, or bring your furry friends. Nothing like being surrounded by nature. Great spot to cool off in the summer. Overall breathtaking all year long! There's a little river..

Great trail to get yourself immersed into the San Bernardino Wilderness. I've taken this route multiple times to summit Gorgonio and exited via Vivian Creek to create a loop. A few water sources run through giving you a chance to stock up on water before you hit the high ridges. Watch for high winds on the passes. Another water source can be found while heading down Vivian Creek.

Absolutely beautiful when covered in the snow! Just have to be aware of people that stop in the middle of the road to shovel snow on their cars...

Such a wonderful and beautiful trail. My only problem is that there are no toilet facilities nearby, nor in the wilderness area. Be prepared for plenty of bugs!

Make sure you find the right trailhead after the creek crossing, and it’s a beautiful hike. Alger Creek may have running. Check ahead. :)Parking: Check for permit parking and get there early to get a spot.

Loved this trail and surrounding area. You can hike the trail or venture off and follow the creek. My wife and our 2 dogs love coming here and escaping the heat in the summer. This is a good spot as well when forest falls area gets too packed.

Its always been a tough start and finish but only the first and last 200 feet. It's a steep climb right by the parking lot which is free to park because there is no bathroom services so remember to "Go" before you show up. Wear good boots & bring lots of water. Have fun...
