Without exaggeration, one of the best (if not THE BEST) sandwiches I have ever had. And I am into sandwiches. Really awesome texture of warm, toasted bread that was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside along with nice crispy bacon and the right balance of ingredients.Bravo and thank you for an unforgettable lunch.Edit: Almost a year later and after mourning a closure I thought could be permanent, they are OPEN AGAIN! And the sandwiches are still PERFECT!

Locally owned an operated. Very cool staff. Great sandwiches made to order. Can't accept cal fresh due to a cal fresh investigator who lied on his report, misidentifying the cold deli sandwiches as restaurant style service. Too bad because many people in this very small town depended on this store for their entire food supply and are now left with no place within walking distance to access food. Shame. But it's a good store. Sells beer and cigarettes, sodas and snacks. Staff is knowledgeable about the local area. Recommended.

New owners didn’t have a ton of grocery stock when we stopped in, but made-to-order sandwiches were excellent, they had the Starbucks coffee-in-a-bottle that I can’t live without, and the couple (and their son) were super-friendly and helpful. No public restrooms, but they directed us to a park with facilities just up the side road.

Local small town store that has beer and the best sandwiches that have their own flavor that is amazing warm and yummy… I had the ‘pastrami lami’ very filling and the staff was friendly they even bring your food to the car or outside after you order… not a big store so don’t expect the world… did not expect such a good sandwich 👍🏻👍🏻

I've been coming to this store since 1973 when my older brother and I used to stay at the Matheson House an old Hippie Commune, the sister House to the Divisadero house in SF. We would go hiking down to the old Gold Bank mine and camp down in the Ravine where they had built an old house out of timber and river rock. We would venture up to the store when we needed some canned food or provisions. The last time I was here was 1995 prior to my brothers death and we stopped at the store and hiked down to the mine. Like a trip to the past we found it virtually untouched where we sat and recollected the good times of the 70s in front of the big Iron gates of the mine. The cool stream water ran over our feet like the memories in our minds.I'm 61 now but I'm planning a trip in 2022 with my Son and we hope to find this little slice of mountain Americana as we last saw it.

The only store we got on our little mountain but it's the best. BOMB sandwiches wayyy better than subways. And Scott makes amazing pizzas from scratch. I come here every day basically since I live right down the road . Great food great serivce!! They have everything you need and accept food stamps if you have them.

Quaint mountain store with conv store essentials. Pet food and ice cream a big +. The deli sandwiches are GREAT. Try cowboy. People have said the pizza is delicious, but they don't serve that every day. Haven't tried it. Also, the biscuits and gravy are worth a shot.

New owners are great. Very friendly and Scott makes a damn good pizza. Try it ,home made sauce and hand tossed crust has brought new life to Fridays nights at home.
