Jayne did it again! She is by far, the best groomer I’ve ever been to. She is the sweetest girl and does the most fabulous job grooming my Maltese Baxter. He loves her, she is so kind and gentle with him. He looks amazing, just what I asked for! Thank you Jayne, I’m so glad you are back :)

I ordered what I needed and it was on a super sale, which was helpful because I needed it to walk my foster dog and my dog together. Fostering sometimes means shelling out money for the foster dog because the foster organization is consistently met with high vet bills and doesn't have much money for other things. Also, when I arrived, I had both dogs with me so I thought it would be better to ask if Petco could walk it out to me instead of me going in and leaving them in the truck or bringing them into the store together (one is 90 lbs and reactive and the other is 55 lbs). I have not done much curbside pickup. So I was happy when someone answered the phone right away and was able to send someone out right away.

Took my dog for grooming for the first time at petco. When I picked up my dog and took him home he was having a problem with his tail. Something was definitely wrong . Took him to my vet . My vet told me his tail was closed on my a door or something! I know accidents happen but I wish the groomer would have told me!I will never take my dog there again ...very unhappy customer 😑

I like it here. I especially like the rewards program. It's $20 a month but they give you $15 back in store rewards, so it ends up being $5 a month. It also covers the base charge for a vet visit. There's some other perks as well. I can find great products here for my animals and I'm pretty much exclusively shopping here now.

Good afternoon,This complaint is for the Folsom Petco located at:855 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 956301. I called Petco Grooming in Folsom twice and left a message and never received a call back.2. I went to the store to ask my questions and schedule a grooming appointment. Ashley was the individual who came to the front desk. She was very unfriendly and seemed bothered that she had to deal with questions and schedule an appointment which was evident by her rolling her eyes at me when I asked some questions.3. Took my dog in to get his nails trimmed on 2/7/2024.4. My dogs nail was trimmed to short and was bleeding (I get it, it happens and is not the reason for my complaint).The groomer (not Ashley) was trying to get the bleeding to stop by applying powder to the nail. It took several attempts, because my dog was upset and hyper and kept bleeding.At one point, Ashley who was observing the goings onfrom behind the checkin counter leaned over the counter looked at me and very rudely and aggressively stated: The groomer has to go back and do his job and we have other dogs to check in (all the while my dog is leaving a bloody trail in the reception area).So first, my dog is injured while in your care, then the individual that is actually trying to remediate the situation is told very rudely by Ashley to stop, and she goes on to very rudely tell me to take my bleeding dog and shove off, so Ashley can check in other dogs.Is that what Petco has come too? Just as am FYI -Ashley has received several bad reviews for being rude and ⁴able to handle bigger dogs.

Most uncourteous grooming staff I've ever encountered. It's like they don't want to be there at all. The scheduling is only in store and cannot be same day, which is even more tedious requiring an extra trip. Pretty much anywhere else is better than this place. After 6 months of trying to work it out we're not going back.

I like how they always remind me to clip my $5 rewards cause I always forget them. Wish they checked out dates a bit more often. Got home and realized the cat food I got was best buy February 2023.

Extremely poor experience with grooming today. Ashley was our technician, I’m not sure if she’s new or what but seemed HIGHLY inexperienced and probably should not be handling large dogs. From the start was very timid and had a lot of trouble just putting a slip lead on our Rottweiler. We have used petco grooming 7 times without issue and today was absolutely horrible. Charged for “VIP service” without being told on the phone or at pick up about it (guess she couldn’t get the dog in a kennel, even though I told her the command) and then received an extremely rude response when questioning the charge. Furthermore, service was not even completed and the rude comments and attitude just continued when I asked about why her nails hadn’t been fully clipped. The whole thing was just ridiculous. We have never had an issue, not even a negative note in our dogs record about behavior or difficulty with handling so it was clearly from the inexperience of this tech. To top it off, she also had about the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. At least the manager was polite and helpful but we absolutely will never use this petco again.

I wanted to get my dogs nails trimmed. The website says no appointment needed. After they finished cutting one dogs nails they told me they didn’t have time. This is ridiculous. Multiple trips with the dog when would have taken 10 mins to do. And that wasn’t the first time I was turned away (the vet did it for me the past couple of times I needed them trimmed). I thought I would give them a second chance. With all the places in Folsom to groom your dog I’m surprised it’s still open with this kind of service. I would give a zero star if I could.

Good variety of pet supplies and food, hit or miss on quality of reptiles, fish are decent. Sale prices are usually a great deal and worth checking on.

I will definitely shop at the Petco in Folsom again. There was a marked difference between the way I was treated at the Folsom Petco and the Cameron Park Petco. At the Cameron Park store, I was treated as a nuisance.At the Folsom store I was treated with kindness, and they were so helpful.

I used to live in Orangevale so I would take my pups to the Petco in Fair Oaks. I had only great experiences there. When I moved to Folsom I thought it’d be the same experience here. How wrong I was. The grooming staff has not been particularly kind. One time it was passive aggressiveness today the person I talked to just seemed angry at me. I had someone with me and she pointed it out too. I’m glad other people have had good experiences but I’m definitely not coming back.

I love this place. I take my Husky Max there to get groomed, pick out a few dog toys and visit the vet all in one spot. Thanks to the Vital Care program i am getting some nice discounts too

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I’m leaving this review for anyone who, like me, might be nervous scheduling a grooming appointment at a location that recently went through some huge turnover. You cannot book online at this location due to staffing and they likely won’t be able to get you in for at least a month. That being said, I can confidently say that my puppy was handled with care and came out looking and smelling better than ever! If you are not in a rush for a grooming appointment, or just want to visit the location for your other pet needs then you will be pleased by the level of care and service provided. Shoutout to Krystal for the grooming appointment!

The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I've used their veterinarian services and dog training. They have all that I need and more for my fur babies. I love their app to help me keep track of all the food, treats, meds, etc for my fur babies. The rewards are a great too.

An easy stop for food or other items, Petco in Folsom (across from Lowes) is the perfect place. Friendly helpful staff and they have all the essentials in stock. I ran in to buy an in-wall doggy door for my contractor to install.
