Love this place! My dog was struggling with skin issues. Really bad issues. The vet wanted around 300 a month for cytopoint (allergy) shots. Mind you, they just wanted to treat the symptoms and not the source. I went to Bens and got an allergy test kit for him. We sent in the samples of hair and saliva and they sent the results back. Turns out he is allergic to just about everything except beef. So I switched him to a raw beef and pumpkin diet. He’s so much better now. And he has so much more energy! Thank you Ben’s!

This is an amazing pet store! The owner Steve is very informative and can help pet owners find the right food for their dogs or cats. The high quality products are priceless when caring for your pet. I tried a raw diet for my two small dogs and they are thriving. Their coat, eyes, and overall health is better than ever! The treats sold at Ben’s are very high value for quickly and effectively training your pet. The shopping experience is wonderful and my children and I love shopping here!

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, polite and always go above and beyond. I use their delivery service and since the food I buy is fresh, raw food someone always call me to make sure it's a good time to drop the food off. I highly recommend.

I’m so happy Folsom finally has a natural pet foods store! Not only was the place welcoming and kind, but Ben, the store owner and his store employee were super helpful! :) I went in with my Border Collie Roxy today, and they were gracious and kind to her. They even gave her a treat! I told Ben that I was looking to switch all of my fur-babies to a raw food diet, due to their various skin allergies and my little dogs red eyes. Ben and his store employee (forgive me, I did not catch her name) were patient while I asked all of my questions and handled multiple customers well. I never felt ignored. I felt like I was a top priority the entire time. This is so important in the bizarre world we are living in right now. I will definitely bring my business back to Barketplace, Folsom! I started my pups (GSD, Border Collie, and Jack Russell Mix, as well as my cats) on a raw food diet tonight and so far everyone is as happy as can be! I’m looking forward to going back and reporting good news to Ben and his employees and look forward to doing repeat business with them! #shoplocal Thank you all for being so kind to Roxy and I, you have no idea how the simple gesture of kindness goes so far. Stopped in while traveling to find food for my dog. They carried the brand but not the type I was looking for. The employee basically started telling me why I didn’t need what I was looking for and started trying to “educate” me on why. When I explained I was looking for something specifically recommended by my veterinarian the employee VERY condescendingly told me that my vet was not a nutritionist. Ridiculously poor customer service.

I am so happy we finally have a natural food store in Folsom. Went in yesterday and picked up my pups favorite ice cream treat! Went back today and discussed the different raw diets for my 16 month GSD. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Ben’s Barketplace! Give them a try...you won’t be disappointed and neither will your pup.

My son and I walked into the store while waiting for my pup who was at the vet. Christine greeted us and asked if we had ever been in before. She took the time to ask questions about what was going on with my dog and while telling her the symptoms the my dog was suffering from she said that he was allergic to beef. I never knew that a dog could be allergic to beef! She showed me some options of food for him and he is doing so much better. I can’t wait to go back and see her. What a wonderful person she is. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate me. You have won a customer for life!

What more can I say. The Folsom staff saved my dog's life. When the vet didn't figure out what was wrong with my dog after $3000 in test, Ben's Folsom was there. My dog was eating a plant that was causing her issues. She needed to be on a raw diet for a while to get her back. Now she is back to dry and loves her Nulo that we get at Ben's! Thank you again Kristine!!!

Folsom Bens Barketplace is such a great place. Kristine and the staff there have gone above and beyond for finding the perfect raw food for my French Bulldog Doug. They answer my emails very quickly and go the extra mile for Doug and I. The owner should be very proud of the staff that he or she has working there . Heck they deserve a raise !!!!!!

This place is amazing! I was having a hard time getting my German Shepard to eat and after getting educated by one of the staff members on nutrition, I learned he was not getting enough protein from the foods I was getting him. After getting him proper food he now gets excited for meal time and his health has gotten drastically better. Amazing products and even more amazing staff!

Steve the owner will give you advice and write you a diet that will get you pet healthier then ever. His store has High quality products, great service and most importantly it is a locally owned and operated business. Buy local!

I’ve been going there frequently to give my dog medicated baths. The shampoo has to set 10 minutes. I use my own shampoo and the 10 minutes I use nothing. I need an extra 5 minutes or so to finish him. I don’t even use the dryer as my pup is scared of it. I’ve always been given two tokens due to 10 minute set time. Today I was not greeted by a very unfriendly manager. No customer service welcome. I explained I need 2 tokens ... she refused. Between her attitude and refusal to help out... I will never go back. Why don’t owners of businesses do mystery shoppers to see the sad sacks they hire. It makes or breaks them. Sad.

I bought this bag 25 minutes ago. Its completely freezer burnt throughout the entire bag. This happens often with the Folsom and Citrus Heights stores.The ONLY Ben’s to shop is clearly the Roseville location.Dude needs to run a tighter ship on his inventory.
