My wife and I were looking for a resort/hotel type of vacation so we booked months ahead at Tenaya. When we arrived, the desk clerk said "here's your cabin key". I said we didn't book a cabin and she said we were upgraded. Now we've rented many cabins and these aren't actually cabins. A cabin has cooking facilities. These do not. So, anytime we wanted a drink at the bar or a meal, we had to get in the car and drive up the road to the lodge. There's no room service at the cabin as there would have been at the lodge either. Inconvenient and not what we booked. Fridge in the cabin but the ice maker was not functional. Also there is only one restaurant option at the lodge and it's expensive. We found that driving 20 minutes down the road to Oakhurst offered many more reasonable dining options. The "good" for us was the proximity to Yosemite and the staff were very professional.

Absolutely wonderful and beautiful place to stay! This was my boyfriend and I’s first trip to Yosemite and first stay at Tenaya and we could not be more happy with our experience! Loved the indoor pool and hot tubs! We stayed in the cottages and were amazed by how quiet and private our room was and loved how we were just completely surrounded by trees. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, so spacious, and just perfectly cozy. After out 4 hour drive in, we were so happy when we walked in the room. Loved how clean and how good everything smelled in the room and loved having our own fireplace and balcony. We will absolutely be staying here again!!

The good!- nice location- quiet rooms- nice poolThe not so good-!The cabin breakfast is very minimal. The server was putting bagels out 1 or 2 at a time! Stingy! The coffee is terrible. Would highly recommend a Nespresso machine!Happy hour wine served in plastic is not great- wine tastes terrible in plastic! Glass would be appreciated.Apparently only allowed 2 small plastic cups of wine at happy hour a the reason being the alcohol content of the wine! Except you could sit at the bar in the restaurant and order 8 cocktails and pay for them and they wouldn’t care! Again Delaware North being super stingy!!Most importantly the policy of not taking bookings in the restaurant is terrible. To arrive with hungry children and be told of a possible 30-45 minute wait is not acceptable- especially when there are no other dining options available at this time of year (pizzeria closed). Why can you not take bookings? Doesn’t make sense. If you are worried about no-shows then simply take a credit card deposit and charge people a small fee if they don’t show up.Cabins were pretty good. Although we had black mould in our bathroom. The gas fireplace didn’t work and took 3 attempts to fix it but eventually for the second night it worked.

All-inclusive year round resort only 2-miles from Yosemite National Park. The spa experience was very high quality, just someone forgot to put out the cool water in the waiting room. The guest rooms are large and well furnished. Some of them are getting a remodel to be ready in April or May 2024. The wait-staff are so polite and kind. Unfortunately, one of the restaurants was closed temporarily. There was something for everyone, and all ages. The conference rooms even had beautiful views.

Booked a room in main hotel and got the cabins which are off site and means you’re walking to and from them to the pool and anything in the main hotel. Cabins are a bit summer camp which some might like but not worth $$$. And dogs. If you don’t like to share your holiday with other people’s dogs (and their barking) at 10pm then maybe somewhere else. Food was good. Staff okay. Location is the only reason to stay here. Tired 1950s style cabin. Would have given a better review if we had been put in the rooms we booked.Rooms: Cabin rooms are acceptable at best

Beautiful location and accommodations. Beds were super comfortable. Indoor pool and spa with large TV, and game room. Did not have any kids with me, but could be a blast for a family with kids. Even had an ice skating rink! I was on a business trip but brought my sister who spent a day in Yosemite while we were there, and we hiked the Mariposa Grove together which is literally just up the road from the lodge.

We stayed in the Cottages. We have 12 and 15 year old boys. We stayed 2 nights and it snowed just about 2 feet while we were there! (April 4 - 6)The cottage room was neat and clean. I took away a star only because the carpet was coming up in two places. My boys loved the indoor pool, hot tub and game room. I loved cozy feel of the lobby. The sheet pan nachos were delicious.

Staying in the cabins was totally worth it. We loved having the living room space to sit by the fire, read books, and play games. It was nice having the separate bedrooms too, so the adults could continue enjoying the evening after our son went to bed. There were so many complimentary items at the clubhouse and the staff were extremely nice. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent family vacation spot! Great location adjacent to Yosemite; the lodge is very family friendly with a lot of amenities - pools/hot tub, game room, sledding/snowshoeing, hiking, smores by the fire, dining options, etc. - that allow you to really experience the area without leaving. Only downside was that there was a lot of construction happening at the lodge while we were there. But otherwise, highly recommend staying here if you want to visit Yosemite, especially if you have a family.Food & drinks: Good food and beverage options with reasonable prices.

Came here for a conference, which offered a special rate. We had paid for the first night in advance. Upon checking in, they initially denied that there was a special rate and tried to double charge us for the first night that was already paid for. On the way out, I asked for late check out (noon vs 11 am) and they asked for $50 for that one hour. The location is great, 2.5 miles from the entrance of Yosemite. The rooms are ok, nothing special about them. The food is at best mediocre and insanely expensive for what it is. Your only options are to dine at the restaurant on the property (Jackalope) or order take out pizza from the little store in the lobby, neither of which are particularly that good. The only nice thing about the place is the proximity to Yosemite, the views, and some of the staff.

We love this hotel and the location, but we had a very negative experience with the manager our last visit. Our room was moved to a cabin with a nonfunctional HVAC, and we ended up spending our evening dealing with IT issues until past 11am - about 4 hours total. We had to stay up to resolve it because the overnight low was in the 20s and it was a standalone cabin. It happens, right? The next morning, after explaining what happened, the manager offered us breakfast vouchers for our inconvenience. Mind you, we just finished spending 4 hours the night prior dealing with maintenance and HVAC IT. Breakfast vouchers? After much debate, we were offered at 50% refund for the night. We lost an evening of vacation, travel, etc, due to this issue. This is not the way a hotel that charges $500 a night should be treating its customers. We will not be back.

Amazing staff, great amenities. Big problem was the sound because of the dogs. They’d be barking at random hours and there’s not much you can do about it. The housekeeping cleans the rooms very nicely though so you’d never know dogs are allowed. Cleanliness is important to me and I found it to be clean. The hotel restaurant is very high quality and delicious. Also the concierge Trisha is AMAZING. Go to her for guidance on how to make the most of your trip!

Perfect hotel for the family. Everyone is very friendly and the hotel offers many activities for the kids. Perfect location! The hotel is 5 minutes from Yosemite National Park. The restaurant offers very good food and outstanding service. I don’t have any complaint. However, bring your own pillow, the pillows were not comfortable . Other than that everything is perfect in my own opinion.Rooms: Pillows were not comfortable.Nearby activities: Yosemite National ParkSafety: The staff at the Valet Parking were very friendly and helpful.Food & drinks: The restaurant was nice. The food was good and customer service was excellent .

Great location and condition of cabins. Lots of activities and amenities available, especially for kids. Food choices are good too. I would highly recommend. This is a beautiful facility. Pricey but well worth it.Rooms: We had a 2 bedroom cabin that was perfect for our family. I loved the layout and the condition of the cabin. It is very well maintained and clean.

I love it here the rooms are clean, the food is great. Everyone is helpful, but the only thing I would say that goes against this lodge is the beds are too high. It’s hard to get into bed, I’m 5’5 and getting into bed, should not be like climbing half dome ugh 🤦🏾♀️ Otherwise it’s just a wonderful place to stay.

Had a great experience over my 2 night stay. Staff was very welcoming and polite. The room service was awesome. Fair prices for great food. The room was cozy and clean. Came with a coffee/tea maker with some decent options.Nearby activities: Me and my partner rented the complimentary mountain bikes and enjoyed a 4-5 mile bike ride into the woods and it was one the greatest experiences of my life. Definitely will be returning in the future.Food & drinks: The Jackalope restaurant inside the lodge was fantastic! I order the sheet pan carnitas & the portion I received could’ve fed 4! Definitely getting your moneys worth. Also enjoyed complimentary s’mores near a cozy fire.

"Handicap room" put us on the 3rd floor! About as far as possible from the restaurant. Difficult for walking impaired to get there. 2 elevators, 3 floors, across through the pool...But the restaurant dinner menu was terrible, too, nothing substantial for vegetarians.Somehow when we booked the room we didn't know about the ongoing renovations. That means 8am, hammers banging on the walls, pipes clanking. Couldn't sleep!I couldn't get the infernal k cup machine to work, either. So, couldn't wake up, either!!Room has no microwave.Negative 2 stars.

They cancelled our reservation less than 20 days before our trip to Yosemite. We have already booked nonrefundable flights, car rentals, etc. and at this point everything near by is either booked up or 50% more expensive than it was when we originally booked months ago.Now 15 days before the trip, they still haven't told us our reservation was cancelled - the only way we found out is when we called to ask why they refunded our credit card. They claim it is because of construction delays (which we weren't told was a risk when we booked). The only consolation they gave is 20% off if we rebook sometime in the next 6 months...

Everything about this stay was perfect. The cleanliness of the lodge, our room and the restaurant. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. Our room was large, quiet , and the bed was very comfortable. The activities were perfect, movies in the pool, ice skating, s’mores and enjoying the main entry by the fire. As well as several fire pits throughout the property.Noteworthy details: This lodge was amazing, the grand entrance is beautiful. Staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. The restaurant Jackalopes was delicious, we had breakfast lunch, dinner and appetizers with drinks. Everything was always perfect, the food was quality and great portions. Definitely worth every penny. We enjoyed the s’mores in the evening and the movies in the pool. There is a nice ice skating rink and a place kids can use for snow activities. The room was big, clean, nice furnishings and great view. We are already making plans to return and we just left.

This was my Family’s first time there. It is a very beautiful property. It would of been nicer if the activities they offer were open the 2 nights we went they didn’t open them idk why maybe because the hotel was not that full. The Spa was very nice though that was a very good experience. The cabin we stayed in was very spacious the one we got was not very clean though the carpet area was stained badly and dirty. The King bed was not comfortable at all had a dip on one side so you slept lopsided it was terrible. The other bedroom our Heater went out and wouldn’t work and my son didn’t tell us till they day we were checking out or I would of complained while there. The property is very beautiful though and I just wish our cabin wasn’t falling apart. We did have a good time though enjoying our drives out to all the beautiful sites up in Yosemite.Food & drinks: Not very much food options available. There was one open the days we went and the food was mediocre.

We had a best time at Tenaya Lodge. The cabins are simple, cozy and well decorated. I felt like I was home. The amenities were well thought of. Earth friendly utensils, cups and plates, starbucks coffee grounds etc. Parking was very close to every cabin. They are clean and well maintained. They even stocked the cabins with board games! In addition to your coffee pot they have a pot for hot water!!! There’s wine for adults and s’mores for everyone everyday.Breakfast was just right… no cooked food but enough to fill you to start the day and healthy options. They also serve starbucks coffee. The recreation room is very cozy and the staff are so nice and helpful. We had dinner at Jackalope. The food was very good.Kids went ice skating and we went on a hike.Spa is very relaxing and spacious so you don’t run into people. We used the steam and sauna… very clean and the amenities are top notch! I had a deep tissue massage with Brianna. She hit all the right spot and i was relieved from my body pain. I wish I had more time in the spa. We were were with 2 other families and we all had a wonderful time. We didn’t want to leave. We are already planning our next visit back to Tenaya. Thank you staff for taking care of all our needs. Good job to the management for keeping up the standards of luxury and relaxing vacation.

Beautiful Lodge and surrounding area. Close to Yosemite entrance. Plenty to do…Spa, pools, hiking. The only negative I can think of is the over worked staff. Not many smiles and you have to dig to get information out of them. The concierge desk treated me like I should have known all about the area already. Uncomfortable for sure. But our cottage was clean and comfortable. A nice little walk to the lodge. Me and my adult daughters had great massages at the Ascend Spa, enjoyed the sauna and relaxing room, used the hot tubs and pool. We also did the flashlight hike which was fantastic with a dark clear night! We played cards and board games in our cottage. Saturday night we splurged and had a 4 course dinner at Embers…a small side restaurant in the Lodge. A wonderful three night stay all in all.
