This is a beautiful restaurant nestled in a gorgeous lodge at the entrance of Yosemite. They have an indoor dog section, which we absolutely love and wish we brought our fur babies. It is completely separate from the main dining room, so it won't bother non- dog people. The steak was incredible. I found fries as the side a surprisingly cheap addition for a $50+ meal. But they were tasty.I was disappointed by the salmon. I found it did not have much flavor. The meal came with cooked, sliced, lemons(on the vegetables), which we smeared on the surface of the fish. Adding salt also gave the fish more flavor. All in all the meals were very good. I would not order the salmon again. But the steak was greatThe ambiance, coupled with the dog friendliness, makes this a unique dining experience. The specialty mule was also excellent!!!

I had dinner here last night. It was amazing. The dining room is very cozy with the large fireplace roaring in the middle. My server, Bronson, was really nice, attentive, and he helped me pick out menu items which all turned out to be delicious. I had the pork belly bites as an app, the short rib for my entree, and the snickers pie for dessert. Everything was excellent. I will definitely come back here next time I’m in the area.

Been here a few times. We went during lunch. They do not serve dinner meals during lunch. We all got a burger and a side of wings. The wing sauce is hot... Beware. We got it on the side.Overall .. it was a great experience

1st timer. Vacation to see FireFall at Yosemite.Sat at the bar. Ambience was great, service was great - Food was flavorful and tasty but came out cold.We ordered the nachos and pulled pork tacos - the meat and beans were cold. We were starving so we ate and like I said it was flavorful but would ah e been nice for it to be warm.It was the end of the evening so maybe the chef was going too fast.Tip: the market next to the lobby sells bottles of wines. Grab some wine glasses from the bar and enjoy in your room.

Jackalope’s bar and grill is inside Tenaya Hotel at Yosemite. It was very convenient due we were at the hotel, so we have our breakfast and dinner there before and after visiting Yosemite National Park along our stay. The food is good but a little bit pricey and the portions are smaller than expected. The service is friendly and ready to clarify any questions that you have about the menu and also about the places around Yosemite.

We had breakfast and lunch as we stayed at this lodge for the weekend. The breakfast was good but steep. For lunch,we had tacos and found them very bland. The pork taco was slightly better than the fish one, which was not seasoned well. I had a lobster bisque that I enjoyed. Overall, an okay place for a bite.

Food is amazing. The price seems high at first, but they give a huge portion of food. Made the mistake on the first night of ordering an appetizer and two entrees, one each for my girlfriend and I. Big mistake. We now split one entree and an appetizer, more than enough food. The taste is amazing and just some of the best food I've had in awhile. Definitely worth it.

get the shortrib- super tender & delicious. it was missing a little salt, but overall super good. was so pleasantly surprised by everything here! my expectations are generally low for hotel restaurants, but everything was solid. the diver scallops were surprisingly fried in batter (i don't think it said this on the menu), but delicious. the dumplings were probably my least favorite thing... the filling didn't have much flavor and the skin was a little chewy. otherwise, the service was excellent and it was super nice to sit on the patio with the fireplace.

I’ve been staying at the lodge where this restaurant is located for several days and had multiple trips to Jackalope’s now for breakfast and dinner. The lodge itself is beautiful and the restaurant (Jackalope’s) is no exception. Great ambience. The first night I was here I ate dinner. The appetizer wings were good, but the main courses were really poorly cooked, especially for the price. In my party, they managed to mess up a pasta (how do you mess up noodles?), undercook a steak, and send out a couscous side dish that could have been mistaken for paste. It was all glued together, cold, and didn't have any seasoning or other semblance of flavor. We had to ask the waiter multiple times any time we needed something. The waiter would check in regularly, but would have forgotten what we asked for the last time they checked in. Some of the food was ok, but a lot of it was really embarrassing for the price it’s being sold at.Then on another day, I tried the breakfast. The buffet is pretty pricy ($25) so expectations are high, despite me knowing that they had already served us subpar dinners. I should have gone in with lower standards. The pancakes felt dystopian. The outside ring of them was very hard and everything on the inside tasted like rubber. They were also cold. This was at 8AM.How do you mess up pancakes like that?If they had boxed, frozen Ego waffles to stick in a toaster, that would’ve been a significant upgrade in quality.Thankfully they do have some prepackaged options like muffins that aren’t made in house. Their cooking is brutal. Some of the courses were ok, the burgers were decent. But for the price you’re paying, you’re basically flipping a coin on if you get something you enjoy eating or something inedible.

Disappointed with my burger. Was dry and overcooked. Really good onion rings. Tiny serving of coleslaw but tasty. Nice bar.Parking: Can be a long walk from parking area.

Jackalope's Bar and Grill is located inside the Tenaya Lodge. At the time of our visit, it was the only open restaurant on site. So, we didn't have any other options for food unless we were going to drive down to the nearest town. Luckily, the food was pretty good. It was a bit on the pricey side, but I feel that most resort restaurants are overpriced.During our multiple visits, we ordered salads, nachos, chicken tenders, fries, wings, onion wings, tacos, etc... A bunch of random foods. I have to say, we enjoyed everything except the wings, the wings were a bit deformed looking and weirded us out.The service was excellent, and the waitstaff was very friendly and on top of things. I'm glad we liked the food, or else we would've been stuck having to drive down to the nearest town over and over constantly.

Althought the food is really good, the system is bad. 1) Waiting time. We had to wait about 1 hour and they kept saying its just other 15 minutes. It was my father birthday and it was a buzzkill. The picture is from other day, when we were waiting only for 20 minutes.2) Although we were hotel guests, we were still asked to provide IDs to get beers on our first visit. As we did not bring them with us we couldn’t get any alcohol. The next day nobody asked us for IDs and we got beer. Weird.

Great restaurant at a great resort just outside Yosemite. Not a ton of food options so there was a 20-minute wait without reservations. Food above average, prices about what you'd expect for a mountain resort - $11 for kids meal, $16 for a salad and $25-50 for a main course. Good desserts. Service a touch slow but otherwise outstanding. It may be the only real restaurant at Tenaya but they don't rest on their laurels, it's a great meal.

We had a good dinner here tonight, they are understaffed like many other places around here so it was a little slow, but we understand. Our server Carla was very friendly. Our goyza and kung pao Brussels sprouts were delicious! We split the chicken rigatoni and thank goodness we did, as it was enormous and delicious!

Wonderful restaurant at Tenaya Lodge. We were not staying as guests, but of course they allow outside guests to come and eat. We brought our dogs in January 2024 and they have 2 sections that are dog friendly, one indoors and one outdoors that was tented and heated. Indoors was full when we went, but the outdoors section was perfectly warm enough, it just wasn't as nicely decorated. The food was really great and didn't take too long. Tuna Poke was very good as well as the Chicken Rigatoni. We are excited to go back and try more items. The lodge itself is very cozy in winter; even if you are not a guest, go have a meal at Jackalope's and sit in the main hall for a while by the fire! Coffee shop nearby also. We are looking forward to staying as guests next year.

Inconsistent. Had one great meal and one subpar meal. Either way you won’t do much better in the Fish Camp area for a sit down dinner. Like everyone else says, portions are generous so don’t be afraid to split an entree or order the petite size.Good: Brussels sprouts, olive tapenade, calamari, avocado BLT, dessertsNot great: grilled cheese with tomato soup, burger

We stayed in the hotel and ordered room service one night from Jackalopes and the other night we ate at the restaurant. I didn't love our seats. The drinks are good, the branzino wasn't very good, both steaks were great when we ordered in. The mushroom and goat cheese appetizer was yummy. There was basically no parking even though we were staying in the hotel.

My fiancé and I (and our families) were in town for our wedding at Cathedral Beach in Yosemite National Park, and we stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area around Mariposa Grove. We were blown away by the exceptional service and attention to detail from our server Justin and the restaurant manager who went above and beyond to make our meal there special. From sourcing apple cider with fresh cinnamon sticks, making sure all entrees (including a brand-new chicken sandwich just added to their menu) were top-notch for gluten intolerance and vegan folks, and even expressing sympathy for the recent death of Queen Elizabeth when our server found out my fiancé lived in the UK… this restaurant exceeded all expectations! I highly recommend stopping by.

We tried going here for breakfast as we were staying at Tenaya. The restaurant was not the best and it was very overpriced for what you get. I tried the avocado toast and what a disappointment as half of it was cucumber toast. Because of this we ended up having dinner in Oakhurst every night. This is not very far, lots of food options and affordable (2 people are at the price of 1 from the hotel’s restaurant).
