This is a model of how you treat your customers right here this Ace hardware store. Not only do they still gift wrap for a anniversary, birthday or even wedding, etc when you buy merchandise, but it's even free. What place still does that these days. They also sell tractors, quad motorcycle and any other farm equipment, parts and implements for the everyday farmer. They also sell rifles and guns. Just ask for details and ask for Mack.

Exeter Mercantile is very well rounded supply store. I always find what I need (or it's found for me). The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. If they are unable to facilitate your exact need they have no qualms with referring you to someone or place that can help. Great local facility in the heart of Exeter. On occasion you can also catch firearm raffle tickets through the Mercantile from other local clubs/shops/organizations. I definitely stop here first before looking out of town.

For a small town hardware store, this place is well stocked with just about anything a homeowner might need, from nuts, bolts and plumber helpers to kitchen tools and fine dishes and decorative items. When my husband goes there for parts, I always tag along to check out the kitchen knick knacks, fine china, vases and more.

The Mercantile is a great place for all your repair supplies. They also have a side that features fantastic decorative items. They simply don't have stores like this anymore, and it's a shame. Come for the supplies, enjoy the nostalgia.

Small town hardware/houseware/farm parts store, that must have been in business for a 100 years now. I've lived in this little town for 60 years now, and "The Mercantile" has been here the entire time. So, while other franchise hardware stores have come and gone, (Ace Hardware, was the latest one to come and go.) The Mercantile just keeps chuggin' along. So, for your home, lawn, work or farm hardware and parts, this is a great place to shop. Friendly, knowledgeable, local staffing, makes it a breeze to shop here and they even have a fully staffed farm equipment repair shop here, specializing in International Harvester repair. The place is easy, friendly and 💯% local!
