This store is enormous. It's a great combination of REI, Academy, and Bass Pro all together. You'll have a section for pretty much every kind of outdoor activity you can think of from hunting to paintball to backpacking and fishing. If you like the outdoors at all you should stop just to browse their aisles.

Needed to pick up some fly fishing lures for the local waters. I was not disappointed here. Very large selection of flys and were all on super sale for $.99 each. Person working in fishing department did his best to help me pick out a few. Never disappointed when I go to Sportsmans warehouse.

I had ordered a firearm online to ship to store and I messed up some paperwork so I had to wait 30 days to finish up paperwork. After 30 days I wasn’t going to be able to be in town for a few days after. I had called and talked to the gun department about it and they acknowledged what I had said and their response was it will be fine to just come down. (Mind you I’m traveling an hour and a half to visit the store). When I came back in to redo paperwork, they had told me they sent my firearm back since they hadn’t had a call to tell them I wasn’t going to be able to get there for a few more days.(even though I had called) He said “there was nothing they could do about it except reorder it and I would have to wait another week or two” and make that drive back. I walked out and gave up on them. If you want quality equipment and knowledgeable people I would choose RMI outdoors located down the road. They were AWESOME! Sportsman lost me as a customer forever.

Well stocked for sure but some of the staff is not knowledgeable about local fishing and seeing someone on the floor is rare. Not sure of the quality of their flies now, but in the past they have been poor. They also do not take checks so I limit my business there to supplies I cannot find at Englund Marine or RMI. The prices are reasonable and at times they have great deals.

This is definitely a toy store for people of every age. For Eureka CA this store had a good variety of products and the staff was friendly and professional. I would've like to see a bigger selection of guns and knifes in the building of business but from my understanding there's more options on their website. Great location by Bayshore mall and bay trail access. Like everything now-a-days the price tags appeared big but quality of products seemed mid-range. Overall, highly recommended, at least for some fun sightseeing 👍

Disappointed,On December 28th when we (my fiancé and I) went to pick up a firearm that I purchased there were a few employees that were at the counter during my transaction. They both were bashing and talking about another employee that needed to be fired and how they couldn’t stand him. They both were using profanity during this conversation. My fiancé asked politely that they not use that language in front of my as I’m a lady and a customer. The one employee they call drew laughed and asked if he was joking. In the end he walked away and we went about our transaction to get bullets and my finance apologized to another employee that was helping us saying he didn’t wanna cause problems but that it wasn’t ok, this employee agreed. When we walked back to the counter from getting bullets the supervisor Chris was there and that employee drew also came walking up telling my fiancé that he didn’t appreciate him saying anything to him that he was just trying to do his job and his supervisor agreed. His supervisor told him in front of us that this was ok. We were both at a loss at this point cause like how is it ok?If I hadn’t spent so much money I would’ve walked out.

Paid for items and they were shipped to the closest store, approximately 100 miles. My daughter was making a trip to that city and agreed to pick up the items for me. The store clerk would not give them to her.

The manager of the firearms section was EXTREMELY rude and unknowledgeable of the California Penal Code. My father (a retired veteran and law enforcement officer) purchased ammunition online and had it shipped to the Eureka, California store (which is 2 hours away from our residence). The manager refused to let me (the purchaser’s daughter, who passes all requirements to obtain and purchase a firearm and a current CCW holder) pick up the ammunition. When my father called to inquire about the problem, the manager informed him that it would be breaking the law and he also threatened to call the Sheriff’s department. Pursuant to California Penal Code 30312(c), it is legal for immediate family members to share ammunition. I will NEVER waste my time or gas money to shop here again!

Mixed feelings...Called for availability of a difficult to get backpack in store. Lady on the phone said yes. Had to stay in a hotel ($98), otherwise would never had travelled to Eureka. Wrong backpack...People in the shop were very nice and tried everything to get my backpack, without avail. So, $ 98 less in pocket and no backpack. Bummer.

Horrible customer service. Always out of stock on many items. Annoying security cameras follow you around and you can see yourself on-screen. I heard they're closing soon anyway.

Nice selection of gear at a competitive price. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The option for online shopping, and in store shopping is nice, you can see what they have in stock ahead of time to plan your shopping trip.

Socks were marked on clearance. After standing in the only line for 10+ minutes they showed retail price. Cashier called for a manager on duty. He had me walk to the rack and show him. When we walked back there were another 5 people in line.I visited there 6 years ago and that experience was not a pleasant one too.Glad I live in So Cal.

Went to use a gift card for my birthday and wanted to buy a work sharp knife sharpener and they didn't have any waited for 10 mins while an employee was talking to the cashier and there was some other people who were waiting for assistance at the optics counter longer than I was and she got rude with me when I pointed out the other people who were waiting longer then I was. Whatever happened to customer service I'll take my business to Bucksport and get better customer service and put money in the local business

🤩 Like a hardware store for outdoor sports! A bit pricey. Great selection. This time, l bought a pole for surf fishing, and was advised by a friendly store employee, with experience fishing exactly where I was going.Downgraded from 5 to 4 when i remembered the lackadaisical register person who left me standing for 3 minutes awaiting attention.Still, nice pole and advisor.

They need to look like they are even open! The windows are so dark that you can't tell they are open and the "open" sign is so small you don't notice it until you are walking in the door! They have fantastic prices! Fantastic! Start going or we'll lose another great store! Very friendly and helpful staff. I went in for camping equipment. Best price for propane bottles at 4 for $16.99 while a nearby store had them at 2 for $12.99. Wow!

I just resently got into shooting and decided to get a henry rifle and Sportsmans warehouse had the best price and staff didn't treat me like I was dumb when I asked dumb questions. I've since bought 2 more guns from Sportsmans warehouse and will shopping there .

Cleanest restrooms in Eureka! The store is well stocked, they carry assortment of quality products for outdoor recreation ! Great salesHelpful but not intrusive staff. They let you look around with no pressure to engage with a sales person. Found great low folding chairs in store brand much better quality than anything seen for twice price elsewhere

First visit here, this is a well stocked and wide spectrum store with seemingly any thing sport related available. I was very surprised by the shoe selection, finding multiple models from Keene and Merrill, two of my favorite mfgs, with plenty of others represented as well. Great resource for the greater Eureka area.

Nice and clean store with a huge inventory. They also have veteran discount and a loyalty program. Their prices are higher than what you find online if you can source from Amazon, otherwise it's comparable to online due to not having to pay shipping.They have stuff you something would not expect, especially for AR stuff. They also stock the most reloading gear in town.Pacific Outfitters, Redwood Marine, and other outdoor stores took a big hit when Sportsman's opened, and it's clear why.Only thing is prices, again they can be a bit high sometimes.Last note, don't shoplift from this store, they have really good cameras. As a cop I've arrested dozens of people who security caught. They always pursue charges too, they don't to civil deals.

Came here looking for waterproof shoes. I found a good pair of Merrell for about $100. Also got a thin waterproof jacket. Good place to shop for the weather.

Do not believe their website that says you can order online and pick up your item the same day. I was impressed.- I tried it. When I didn't get my email to come pick up my item, I found out it just wasn't so when I called the store. Not today, Wednesday, no, maybe Saturday? So the website has no connection to what is actually available. Fool me once. but hopefully won't fool you also. I was surprised, though- the item came a day earlier than expected, so I actually got to pick it up before we left.

They actually have 40 caliber bullets!!!! hollow points though🙄 they're all out of range bullets but you know not being able to find 40 cal anywhere I'm happy they had them! the guy who helped me (I wish I knew his name) but he was really awesome and he was super sweet and easy to work with.
