A pretty AWE-some old school hardware store, plenty of hands on hardware, tools and lumber. Yeah they don't have the volume to go head to head with the big box down the street but make up for it in service. They have a great nursery and gift store on site dressed up really nice for the holidays. It's been there a long time, I'm hoping for many more years

Looking for a wood stove ,no help,the old guy just looked at us and turned around ,talking to each other not giving a dam about their customers. Laziest employees as hell not giving a dam about their job,maybe they should retire and let someone else work that cares about their job.

Even though they aren't known for their large amounts of discounts, most of the crew are friendly and helpful creatures. You can get almost everything you need for your project in 1place and the establishment is pet friendly. Of course it probably depends on what kind of pet you have. I have not tried wild animals over 130lbs😁

Piersons is one of my happy spots for diy projects.The staffing in the many different departments are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful & delightful to chit chat with.Never have I ever not found what I was looking for along with answers to any inquiries I may have.The garden department is very impressive, you will likely find the unexpected rare bloom or plant that helps beautify or completes your home project.Thank you fellow humans at Piersons, for all of your work :)

I had mixed feelings about this place. It was beautiful and I'd been wanting to go to the garden center for ages.I asked two questions of staff though and was ignored both times. My mom and I were followed by someone who seemed friendly but didn't speak to us directly and we couldn't help but feel singled out.I did love the koi fish pond though and my mom got gardening supplies she needed. Maybe we just went on an off day? I'm not sure but I did see a few plants I might go back for in the future!

I love Pierson's! I love the garden center the most but I often need stuff from lumber and hardware too. I was researching new blinds for a room makeover I'm planning for over the summer.

Great service from Mark Schultz! Pierson's is hands down the best hardware store in Humboldt and always surprised going here how much they have. You go other places and strike out on many items, but here they always seem to have everything I came for and great service.

Pierson is a favorite place of mine to shop. They have a vast array of different types of plants, some for growing food and other bedding plants to make your surroundings simply beautiful. They always have helpful employees around to help you find the perfect plant for your needs. Today we also needed a couple stepping stones. A very nice man was eager to help us. Just an awesome place to visit, even if you don't need anything it is just so lovely and a gorgeous setting.

I have shopped at Pierson’s for many years and keep coming back because of the incredible service I receive from Randall Morgan’s team especially Steve in electrical. This is a locally owned business and prices are competitive with the Big Box stores plus the money stays here in HumCo. Finally, Pierson’s sponsors and supports our vibrant art community in many ways. Job well done.

Pierson's Building Center may be a local company but they are not concerned for the local consumer and are actively price gouging without remorse. Please allow me to explain:1. Poletski's Appliance Center sells a 5ft braided appliance line for $10 and Pierson's sells the same line for $18. That's an 80% markup above another local retailer's price.2. I bring this subject up with the customer service counter and the person at the counter says sarcastically, "because that's the cashiers fault, right?" and completely disregards my complaint.When it comes to giving bad reviews, its not good to rate a business low without giving them a chance to respond, but Pierson's customer service counter definitely responded and poorly. I wasn't an empty handed complainer either. I bought the a longer braided line while voicing my complaint.

Great store and employees. They will help you fix anything. The garden center is gorgeous and lovely to stroll through. I feel lucky that I live so close to them.

Awesome hardware, nursery and all around do it yourself, local store. Best privately owned hardware store I've ever been to, in all my travels. If you need it, they more than likely have it! Knowledgeable, passionate, service members too, they're easy to find and friendly if you have questions 🙂

Garden Center: A wonderful selection of locally made holiday gifts, bright and colorful winter decorations, and a couple of cute roaming hardware store cats. I am always able to find unique gifts in the garden center.

I ordered a new key fob for my car. It took a few weeks. Jan helped me order it. Awesome person. It took longer than expected to get but Jerod kept me updated and scheduled me as soon as it arrived. I arrived early for the appointment and brought my kitchen knives for them to sharpen. Robert was on it. He knew the machine well and explained it all to me. Very professional employee. Sean the key guru took my car in at appointment time. Very professional and treated my vehicle with respect. There was an issue with the key ordered so Sean explained my options, return it and await a new one or refund. I chose refund. Sean walked me up to the business office and introduced me to the money lady and explained what I needed. Money lady refunded me immediately. While the key program didn’t go well everyone was professional and friendly and I’d still go back to this store. Jon was also tops in professionalism helping me with another issue.

Went here to purchase repair spray hose for kitchen sink..... They really don't stock any modern spray hose components which forces you to end up buying a replacement faucet assembly. Staff was not that helpful. I asked about returns and they were very ambivalent not wanting to answer the question fully. Ended up having to buy a new faucet since needed that day. Eureka has very little in the way of hardware stores and needs a Home Depot.

There are always 5-star staff here. The products are decent as well as the selection. They will order other things you may want that they don't carry. The garden center, lumber yard, and main store are well maintained, stocked, and staffed. We've done several remodels with their materials that have turned out really well. So glad we have them in our area.

I normally shop local but after an incident here at Pierson’s I will definitely stay away from the lumberyard. I needed to get a dolly or hand truck. I called ahead of time they said they had them ranging from $30-over $100, thought great! So I sent my young son to go pick up one.How about he comes back with a rusted one -deflated tires -one tire looks slashed so I angrily asked him what the hell did you just buy? He said this is all they had mom. I called back up there and asked if they had any more he said that we don’t have any and if the tires are deflated he’ll inflate them.When I arrived I was sent back to lumberyard and the guy said: oh yeah do you need the tires inflated? I said No need to- I’m returning this, it’s used and rusted and the tires? Really? this is not acceptable at all. He did no apology!!! Just a response: oh yeah you’re right ma’am.I’ll go to Ace Hardware or Harbor Freight.

I love this place. The help is awesome. I usually get asked two or three times if I need any help and help is always right on. I had to just recently order some interior doors and everything went perfect. Eureka is lucky to have such a place. I sure like it alot, way better than Lowe's and Home Depot. Give it a try.

Your new commercials are so beautiful and zen like. I thought the flight through the forest was the best but the one over the ocean is the best. The music and the scenery are better than any relaxation tape I have ever seen! don't ever stop them...please. customer service is wonderful too.

I have shopped there many times. But my favorite thing there is their nursery. I am a photographer and they graciously allowed me to take many photos of the flowers they carry. Some of my best work was done there. So many types to splendor at! Their orchid selection is amazing! Stop in and see for yourself!
