The ultimate place for what to take and wear outside. If you put in time in the outdoors, whether for work or play, Picky has you covered. I always get great, attentive, but not fussy customer service there. The outlet store is always full of amazing deals and has a real Humboldt vibe.I have to stop myself from drooling on the counter every time I go down to Surplus to look at the axes and knives! The guys down there are friendly and knowledgeable about their wide variety of products. If you're in Eureka, it's worth your time to stop in!

Very Disappointed. Up until today I would have rated it 5 stars but today was the opposite. Manager Alan went out of his way to demonstrate what jerk he could be while I was trying to exchange my brand new boots a size up. After being a serious PPP shopper I was shocked at the treatment I received. I was speechless while the manager Alan ripped me a new one. Needless to say, I will think twice before I spend my money.

They are not clear on their pricing. They have the exact same items marked for different prices, and they will not honor the prices that have marked. False advertisement at its finest.

This place has a lot of good stuff, but when I asked an employee if they had a particular item for women, he replied with, "women?!" Yeah dude, perhaps you have heard of them. And then he showed me stuff designed for men. The three stars are for the annoying misogynistic response from the employee, not for the store.

I go to the outlet store at least once a month and I love it. However every time I go into the main store people follow me around like I'm going to steal something. I understand we live in eureka but just because I can't find the shirt I want doesn't mean Im casing the joint

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I like to go for their selection of scrubs, the surplus store has good quality outdoor gear. It could be considered kinda pricey, but they are very reasonable about returns.

It was a pretty nice store. I was really surprised with the amount of Carhartt stuff that was actually in stock. They also had other brands such as Dickies, Kuhl, Cat, 5.11 tactical and others. Figured they could be more competitively priced with the Carhartt with the amount of inventory but priced at retail. Decent selection of boots also. Outlet is so so awesome if ya a big dude 2x 3x not so much for me Lrg in Carhartt, XL other brands.

We bought a pair of shoes here.When we got home my husband tried them on and didn't like how they fit and mentioned that they look used I was not sure as I'm not familiar with those shoes I just thought they were ugly shoes when I tried to return them they refused to do a refund saying those shoes were really used! I told them I just bought them sunday evening you can look at your cameras i was here. The older lady that works there kept nodding her head saying no. She had a rude attitude the whole time letting me know she wasn't going to help. I had bought them on Sunday evening and tried to return them on Tuesday it sounded ridiculous That they would think I would have creased and worn out those shoes in like 2 days. The clerk responded that it is very common for those shoes to get really messed up in just 2 days of wearing them. Makes me think what kind off merchandise they are selling. The manager came and he had a mean frustrating attitude as well. They told me there employees always check merchandise before selling it and they would not have sold that to me. We used to shop here for my husband's and his brother's work shoes and clothes we would spend hundreds every time. Never going here again. As I read the reviews they have done this before to other people. They plan all this out to sell used merchandise to customers. They cleaned the bottom of the shoes very good as they didn't look used at all, but the employees knew exactly where to point out every spot that was wrong with the shoes. This store has very dishonest and very rude employees. Everyone please look carefully before you shop here!

Store was closing as I got there. They have decent selection and the perfect atmosphere for a work/camp cloths and accessories. I just don't like hours. For a guy like myself... I work the hours they are open. Would be nice if they were open a little longer.

If you've never been, there is something uniquely satisfying about picky picky picky. Anyone who enjoys outdoor activities will find something to love about these stores. YEP, stores, not store. There are three shops right next to each other. There is the main store which is a sporting goods and apparel store with a great selection (I buy my boots and durable work pants here), there is the surplus store with military and camping gear for men and women, and lastly there is the outlet store with clothing at heavy discounts. GO CHECK IT OUT at least once, and you'll probably fall in love with this place like I did. Parking can be limited, but I've always found a space. Located between two one-way-streets so pay attention when leaving the parking lot.

Best outdoor and work wear store in northern CA. This place is an institution and rightfully so. Places like barebones or weddings dealers just don't compare at all. Make sure to check the discount appendix across the parking lot for screaming good and random deals on nice name brand stuff. Got my first pair of logging boots here as a teenager and keep coming back for EMS work wear and camping clothes in adulthood.

They are the best place to shop for work boots in the area (that I have found). My main complaints are not directly at them -- they had only 4 work boot styles for women, and they didn't carry any men's boot sizes under 8. I guess that's fairly representative of the industry, but it sucks, because the USFS has a lot of female employees ho shop at Picky Picky Picky's and we need boots, too. They only had one women's size 9 Danner Rain Forest boot, and I believe 9 is the most popular woman's size. This would not have negatively impacted me, except that the shoe Danner sent them was defective -- check out those laces! One half hooks, the other eyes? So much for craftsmanship! But the guy working there was helpful, and is ordering boots for me. It's a good store overall, and usually cheaper than ordering through the website for Danner or Whites. They have a big clothing inventory, and if I had been in the market for a jacket, it would have been perfect. If you have the capability to wear a man's 8 or above, there are many quality boots to pick from. Otherwise, it's kind of meh.

You must visit here when in Eureka if you love anything Carhartt, Dickies, Wrangler, etc work clothes. EXCELLENT women's selection which I find amazing. They have a huge section for scrubs. LOVE this store, they have accessories for dogs too.

Always have some new top of the line gear. From boots to pocket knives, to water bottles and rain tarps, this is the place to go. With 3 different buildings all having slightly different purposes, what ever your budget they will have something for you. I also have to mention that in my experiences here the employees have been super cool and occasionally going above and beyond. 5 stars

Two stores packed full of quality merchandise in one location! These guys so quality products and they've got a pretty solid reputation in the community as the go-to place to go. It is a bit spendy but so is everything else up here in this area the outlet building is worth a look you could end up saving yourself a nice chunk of change

Awesome place with lots of clothes, their clearance sales are pretty great. Love the newer warehouse space and the separate shop for surplus items. I've never had to return anything or need major help but customer service has always been really quality. Always a fun shopping trip!

Hard to believe a place like this exists behind the Redwood Curtain. They are an exceptional outfitter for the trades when it comes to work wear. Their outlet is a treasure chest. Their surplus store replete with great toys. And their retail store so we'll stocked it bogles the mind it exists in Eureka. And then there's the pricing. Not just competitive, but comparable. A pair of boots I had intended to buy online were not only available in the store, but less expensive than a direct buy from the manufacturer. Check out all the stores. Your won't regret it.

Don't take the tags off an item if you want to return it people! Returned an item for which I was rudely degraded for removing the tags. The clerk said I knew they were not supposed to be removed which is not true, as no one told me at the store when I bought it. I still had the tags, receipt and bag the item came in. I have no issue with their rules but they need to make their customers aware of them. I also do not deserve to be degraded to that extent. My family spent almost $200 in gifts at PPP this holiday season. They are known for their quality merchandise but their customer service doesn't match. If you read the reviews it sounds like the same person is treating other customers very rudely.
