As long as they're not stocking or holding a dog training class it's a decent store. Prices at Petco aren't great but they're not bad either. Fish occasionally look a little rough but for the most part tanks have been looking very well maintained lately after a spat of bad ich in the goldfish tank. Little critters and reptiles seem happy.

Groomers always do a great job on my Bear Dog! He is a big boy, with long hair, huge paws with lots to take care of, and he always come out of the salon happy, clean and smelling great! Definitely recommend their services!

This is a great place to come and browse for pet products. The store has so much, if you can't find it here you probably don't need it anyway. Staff are very helpful as well.

I come into this petco at least once a week and the staff is always helpful and nice even know my dogs by name. Today was a whole other story, I ordered dog food online to deliver to my house since I was at work. The food I ordered was still not there, I had to do online pickup and I didn’t have my id on me and was looking for a picture of it on my phone. I was “helped” by Dina, she was super rude and short with me I apologized for having to look it up, she says nothing and gives me a nasty look. I should be getting an apology for having to wait for my food for 4 hours then have to come into the store on my way home, I understand it’s not their fault which is why I was nice to her but to straight out ignore me and give me nasty looks for “wasting” her time is just rude. She was very short as well with the nice blonde lady she was training. I feel horrible for her having to be trained by her I would rather have her ring up my order than that lady any day. She was nice and had good customer service, Dina was just straight up rude and should be fired, as someone who’s worked in customer service for 5 years, this lady should just never deal with customers or train others with her attitude

This store has not had a head manager for several years now and it shows. Unfortunately, it's the employees, customers, and worst of all animals suffering. For some reason, although this store makes money, apparently there isn't enough to invest in the areas that really need it - like the employees, the animals, or customer service. They're not keeping the fish tanks maintained very well at all. The way they have their animals shipped to them is unacceptable (thus causing a needless number of them to suffer and die in the process). If a pet store isn't concerned enough to prioritize the proper care of their animals how can you trust their brand, their products, or their recommendations?Except for one or two on staff who I've seen there for years, the rest is a revolving door of temporary workers who come and go. It's so frustrating as a customer to walk in and know you're most likely going to get an employee who is inexperienced or even worse. There's never enough people working there now, especially in the evening which is when most of us get out of work and need to run in. There's always huge pallets of stuff blocking aisles now. I regularly have to come back later because staff can't tell me if something is in stock because it hasn't been processed yet (because there is no staff available to do it). When the employees are stressed out the customers feel it too. This store needs support and deserves it! This is the only corporate pet store in our rural area and it's setting a bad example. Our community deserves better. The animals deserve better. The employees definitely deserve better. Hire a manager, hire more staff, pay more attention to how your store is being run and how the animals are being maintained. And to any of you staff who might be reading this - find a union organizer! See if you can get help from them. Hopefully, the company will care enough to want to do better on their own.

There was a dog in the aisle over making horrible breathing sounds. An employee asked if he was okay and took really good care of the dog. Turned out he was fine, but I thought it was awesome the employee went above and beyond to make sure the dog was okay and also did it so politely. So many people look the other way these days. I found everything I wanted and more. This store is great.

Even though it's a big business corporation, PETCO treats their animals very well, and their customer service is still acceptable. I helped build the store from the ground up enthusiast it transfered from Longs drugs. They did excellent, thorough training in the customer service and animal industry. Stay blessed, Humboldt County!!!! Jesus is coming.

We went in for a cat tree and carrier. We were shocked! 1. We couldn't find what we saw online (although they said they would order it for us), and 2) prices were very high.We won't be going back.

staff that has worked there for awhile very good. new staff not the best especially the new fish guy! Very rude, I waited for literally a good 30min to get help while he was making a tank with another customer. I had one quick question but he ignored me the whole time. So I went to fin and feathers and got great help.

I'm bad with my money and this Petco will see me often to spend a lot on my accidental won goldfish that I got at the fair this year 😮💨😒 but beyond the point they sell blue lobsters here they're so cute I do recommend to come on down and check out the animals they have that need a home

I went to petco for a dog bed and found exactly what I needed. The service in the store is not good and don't expect to be browsing the internet while inside. I wanted a discount that was only offered online for cyber monday, so I stepped outside with my dog to place my order and then came back in. We saved a little money and it was worth it for the comfort of my dog.

This is a great big store in a not particularly big town. But that's what is great about it! (Or at least one thing.). It's one of the outside entranced mall stores with really good parking. The store has EVERYTHING. Literally..... everything. We enjoy visiting with the critters like the hamsters. Or the lovely birds. And it honestly seems like every 🎏 fish a person can name. I appreciate how this store just never seems to run out of things.The staff generally knows their stuff. Pets are definitely their specialty !! My dog Bodies favorite staff member= Jasmine. When I take him in he looks for "his girl" Jasmine. Petco is the Place to Be!!

I actually really like this Petco. It's clean, the staff are all friendly and helpful and the fish people actually try to educate themselves a bit. I do wish they had a section for harnesses for overweight cats but I'm pretty sure that's a desire specific to c h ö n k keepers.

The quality of service and the items available for purchase have gotten much better over the years. The animals at the store are better taken care of lately. Though a lot of the bugs for sale for reptiles were dead and dried out.

If they had a spot for zero Stars I would definitely put zero stars because I was just told that I cannot buy more than one goldfish at a time. It's apparently company policy to not sell more than one goldfish at a time. Oh well I guess some other pet store is going to get my $300.

My last experience was horrible. We have spent quite a bit of money buying birds at this location. We bought a Green Cheek Conure on Saturday. We used to different cards for the transaction. Both cards were charged the full price on each. When we talked to Christy,the manager about it,she wasn't very pleasant. We explained the situation,she refunded on one card then attacked me in front of multiple customers stating she gave me a free bird,which she did not. Every other experience has been great,up until that point. I should have called corporate about her.

While I personally believe their prices are far too high, their employees are beyond knowledgeable when it comes to the products they carry. Not only that, they genuinely love animals, a passion which clearly comes across in their conversations with their customers.

Christy went above and beyond in helping me find the appropriate toy for my dog. My dog tears through just about any toy that it can find and so I wanted one that would be just about indestructible. Not only did Christy walk me to the item but should put out suggestions and listened to what I had to say. I really appreciate the amazing customer service and would love to come back here just because of it.

I came in looking for a cone for my puppy. My small 7 month old puppy was nervous and scared especially after having an abscess drained but Rose (I believe that was her name) was very patient and kind even after he had an accident on the floor.Rose sat on the ground with me fitting the correct cone for puppy. She also told me about puppy classes starting in September. She was outstanding!!!!!

They have plenty of animals and clean snake reptiles and more fish accessories and treats everything that you need to make your pet and you for welcoming helpfuland it's everything that you need for your pet and always ask it's a family-owned store you can buy your dog treats you can buy a dog cake you can buy anything that you can do for your pets animal free like a bunny and a hamster I got my bunny free from there they said free to any good homes and a good home with me
