The North Coast Co-op is little supermarket in the middle of Eureka, Humboldt county. The store is clean and well maintained. There are lots of parking available and the staff is very friendly. You can buy lots of organic locally produced products. But what I love in this market is the opportunity to get local goods: soaps, chocolates, jams, honey, etc. Note that, this store is great but it is a little more expensive than other supermarkets in the region. This is not my monthly supermarket to go, but every time I want to buy some special, high quality food this is my store to go. I highly recommend.

I love the Eureka location it seems bigger than the Arcata store (which is nice too!) They always have lovely seasonal displays right up front near the sushi bar. Since they've remodeled the wine is near the fresh produce similarly to Arcata. Got a great whole bagged Rocky's chicken for a good price around the holidays, too.

Great Deli featuring wholesome salads and dishes like popcorn tofu, turkey meatloaf, macaroni salad, chicken salad and more! Plus delicious premade sandwiches. Also great fresh produce, a wonderful butcher shop with grass fed local beef, and local fresh caught fish. Their soup and salad bar always stocked with the best stuff! Highly recommended. You'll pay a little more but it's worth it!

As a traveler in the area I will say: The hot bar was really good & the fresh desserts like their cheesecake was top shelf. The staff was hit or miss but I only interacted with a handful of them & it was majority good. Great grocery selection & the prices although high, seemed fair for the area. Great alcohol & souvenir selection.I’d recommend this as great place for groceries & ready to eat lunch or dinner.

delicious grab & go burritos. friendly staff. nice variety of drinks. good for dinner. they even have an eating area with napkins & spoons. but you can only stay there at the eating area for 45 min.

So I'm traveling in my RV .. I'm a hippie and I'm healthy...I was livid when my son went in to shop and the security guard outside was staring at me as I waited in the driver's seat...Then he seemed to lose interest and Walk away... suddenly my dogs go crazy(not normal) and I see he's right behind me (snuck around from behind apparently)...he then quickly walked inside...came back out to stare some more....I will never spend my money at this store again!!The irony of the huge sign saying "everyone welcome" on the front of their store!!

Ordered 2 sandwiches, one was the turkey tap and other was a custom sandwich. Employees were nice and service was fast. Overall it was good, the only thing I didn't like was the house sourdough bread. It tasted like a keto bread, which to me tastes like a paper towel. I wish they offered brio breadwoks bread.

Best grocery we visited in northern California coast! They had awesome cheese and prepared food. Fantastic milk and cream selection, books, cooking utensils! And the cookies were delicious. Wish I had a pic but we ate them too fast.

This North Coast Food Co-op has a variety of foods and emphasizes health, locally grown foods, and organic products. I like to shop early in the day with a Chai tea in hand from their juice and coffee bar. Their deli, meat, cheese, and healthy selections are nice healthy alternatives.

Epic sandwiches from the deli.My company stopped here to pick up boxes lunches for our trip today. I blindly received a Turkey Tap sandwich and holy rusted metal Batman! Incredible.We ordered a few dozen sandwiches in a few different varieties and all 21 of us loved, even raved, about how awesome these sandwiches were...and huge, they were very generously portioned to the point where several people couldn't finish in one sitting. The other half of their sandwiches made for an excellent mid afternoon snack after wandering through the Redwoods.I'd definitely recommend North Coast if you need a dang good sandwich that will delight and more than satisfy you.

Great food co op and nice environment inside. Clean, organized, with nice staff. We really appreciated the sale prices on produce and bulk items, yet there were some items unaffordable to us. Also really appreciate the Compost/Recycling out front! (Also had trash, but that's typical). More places should have composting and recycling.

My partner and I went in for a late lunch. I got the blast sandwich from the deli and she got a premade pesto grilled cheese from the hot section. I don’t know what the s stands for in blast but it must mean you get a full salad on your sandwich… they skimped on everything else except the lettuce, truly unsatisfactory. As for the grilled cheese it was cold and the cheese was not melted. Mind you we are a 3 minute drive from this store. You think for spending $20 on 2 sandwiches you could expect some decent quality. If you don’t want to be disappointed go to eureka naturals.

North Coast Co-Op in Eureka is a great market. They have extremely friemdly staff, super fresh produce and meats, and the store is very well laid out aesthetically. An awesome home section with candles, soaps, aprons and many other giftables. To me North Coast Co-Op has the same prices yet superior qualities over all of the similar markets in the area. Love shopping here! Great soup and salad bar also!

Stopped in for some travel food and was impressed. Very nice selection of ready to eat items. Hot bar and salad bar. Cool beers and ciders, cold beverages. Clean store. Lots of nice grocery items. Found my favorite mushroom hunting pocket guide at the check out counter! Service was pleasant and helpful.

We love the selection at this store and even frequent the prepared foods, but I'm thinking they may treat their staff poorly. Yesterday a tall, older gentleman wearing a hat and glasses and working the express lane became angry and chastised the hell out of me for sitting my basket on the ground so I could bag my stuff (I planned to return the basket to the door, as I always do). He was obviously stressed and was attempting to project that on to me, but he didn't spoil my day. I hope this gentleman's work-life improves.

A beautiful member owned grocery store with a great selection of natural goods. They have a great deli as well as an amazing soup and salad bar. All of the employees I've had the pleasure of interacting with have been delightful and very friendly. Overall I would highly recommend it as a wonderful place to shop.

This place is great for all things fresh! They've always got a good selection of fairly priced fruits and veggies (mostly organic). Their bulk selection is wide, if a tiny bit pricey. Customer service is always refreshingly real and polite. But what keeps me coming back is the meat counter. They've got real butchers that can help you with sectioning whole chickens, and special cuts of meats - and they always taste fresh!Highly recommend this co-op, and their butcher counter!!

Great selection on great ingredients.The deli people could be more helpful. I asked for a couple pounds of popcorn tofu, (which I highly recommend) in a cardboard biodegradable container, but they were too lazy to want to help me. Instead they told me to grab 8 plastic containers if I wanted that much. They could of very easily grab some in the back Instead of lying to me, and tell me there isn't any more, then when my friend ordered a wrap with some a few minutes later and there was plenty back there to make her wrap. I'm trying very hard to not consume too much plastic and feel bad about having to use it if I wanted anything there.I am happy that they finally allow us to bring in our own containers for bulk items after the covid issue. I get that they are trying to keep people healthy, but what's the point if we don't have a healthy planet

Love the co-op. Their selection of health care products is amazing, I can always find what I need there and the staff is always super helpful. When I went today the woman in the health section helped me find several products with a friendly attitude and the cashier I had was also friendly and didn't make me feel like a burden with my multiple WIC checks I needed to use today. Their deli make amazing sandwiches and their sushi counter is definitely one of the best I've ever had.

I had a really bad experience here where I bought blueberries that were moldy and when I went back to where I checked out to return them the guy at the checkout told me that he didn’t remember me and that it was above his pay grade to help me. When I went to customer service and got the blueberries returned, the next set of blueberries I got was also moldy and I had to call in and tell them that the situation so other people don’t buy moldy blueberries but I never returned the second batch. I’d like to re-review the store when I see better customer service in the future.

Great place!! Frequent shopper.. Great selections for vegan vegetarian and gluten free. Deli is amazing and the smoothies are a must have!! Berry bliss is my favorite!! Salad bar is usually ok and soups are pretty good!! Very friendly staff, love it here!!

I love the Eureka Co-op. I buy mostly vegetables and specialty food there and appreciate their wide selection of organic produce, some from local farmers. They also have a huge selection of supplements and herbal remedies. The store is always clean, and the staff is super friendly. I'm very grateful for their electric shopping cart which I often have to use due to a disability.

Great local products and produce. The deli offers a wide selection, and they have a salad bar, and sushi made in store. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bulk section has a lot of great stuff, and they have a whole aisle of whole bean coffee.

The Thai Cucumber Salad is to die for. I love the steady suply of grab-n-go 25lb sacs of grains and legumes. Membership here also enabled me to bank with Coast Central Credit Union when I didn't have sufficient proof of residence otherwise (power bills, rent checks, etc.) to open an account! Now I have a PG&E bill :)I pay more for bougie food because it improves my quality of life. I am eligible for foodstamps (although no longer a recipient) because I am a full time student working full time. I was finishing off the last of my benefits, celebrating a new job with cookies and ice cream. When the cashier saw my CalFresh card, she snarked, "just the essentials." 🤣🤣🤣 Hillarious and unnecessary. As a service worker myself I would know better (even when working at lowly Grocery Outlet)! I hadn't seen her there before (or since), but I still smile at this memory.

Great selection of products, helpful employees, and it's easy to find what I'm looking for. I get all of my tea and bath products here. Also a decent beer selection and a nice deli. Atomic bran muffins are my dads favorite from the bakery.
