Such a special store with an amazing history and community!! There are so many beautiful things offered for many different occasions. This is definitely a place of interest if you are looking for furniture, gifts for friends/family, appliances, decor for your living room and kitchen or just wanting to enjoy the company of super friendly staff! The store’s emphasis on having great appreciation for the local area and it’s members is very present as there are multiple locally owner business owner’s products available!

I placed an order online the week before Christmas for a Christmas gift but hadn't yet received an email confirmation that my item had shipped so I called the store to check on the status of my order. The item I had ordered was no longer available, but they helped me process an order for a new item and although their store had just been damaged by an earthquake and it was 5 days before Christmas in the midst of a crippling blizzard across the US, they shipped out my package to IL that same day and it arrived in plenty of time for Christmas!!! They had obviously paid extra for shipping to get it to me as quickly as they did and didn't charge me for the extra fees. I'm very pleased with their customer service and would recommend buying from them!!! I know I plan to purchase from them again in the future!!

Very friendly service! Like the good old days, people here really want to help you! One of the last retailers to stand behind their products, they really do stand by their word and warranties. What originally started as a hardware store over 50 years ago now has everything you can imagine for the home. From woodstoves to ranges, roofing to housewares and home decor, this place really has everything for the home. Don't forget to check out the auctions. There is always something new in this iconic store.

While visiting our daughter and son in law in McKinnlyville my wife and I decided to surprise them with a new washer and dryer . We visit them quite a lot and noticed their washer ; dryer had seen better days . We so wanted it to be a painless process but being from Oregon we couldn’t be hands on because of distance. Don made it all happen and went beyond what he needed to. Appliances worked outstanding ; but the house had a water drain issue . Nothing to do with washer. Again Don stepped in and handled everything through a third party business locally. They treated us like ole friends .

One side of the store is way too expensive but the items are very nice and the other side has better prices and used furniture but not a big selection. They have auctions there which you can get some great items for a good price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a front entrance and back entrance with good parking. Conveniently right off the highway.

Carl Johnson does a fabulous job helping us pick out just the right gifts at Christmas!Every year our adult kids love seeing the professionally wrapped presents under the tree cuz they know they are from Carl Johnson’s...the staff does an amazing job in customer service and they are kind and friendly. You can’t go wrong with their baskets!

Carl Johnson's is a wonderful place to shop. Don & his family make sure you find what you need, & he takes the time to actually help you. He has all the pool/spa chemicals, & will explain how to use them. We bought our family's favorite sofa here, & David delivered it & set it up in our family room. The latest feat was Don's help as we downsized - they came out to the house, picked up our unwanted furniture, etc & turned it into $$ for us. They even dropped off our donations to Hospice Shop. What a huge help - a million thanks, Don! Happy New Year!

Love going in here. I like how it's a "hardware" store but 90% of it is couches, clothes, and home decor. When I think of hardware I think of like a home depot lol so I was very pleasantly surprised. I wish it gave me the option to post pictures of some of my favorite peices in my home I've bought there.

Every visit we are followed and every time we look back to see what they want they stop and look at whatever's next to them as if they had been all along. We are constantly under supervision. We've even been followed outside to our bicycles. I like the miniscule selection of things that aren't gimmicks, but those are few and far between. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Worst customer service ever. Took money without permission off of my card. Told me it was a filing fee when there were no posting, nor did they tell me. Then, whenever I had to return it, the sales rep guy lied to my face about the product. Beware!!!! BAD BUISNESS

Horrible experience. Lied to about delivery time, when I called, they lied some more. Waited two days for a simple twin mattress, that they tax you wrong on. It's my belief that nobody should ever use them for anything.
