Its a big store with regular grocery store selections for all food groups and also provides a decent variety of prepared food for a quick on the go meal or dinner for the table. Throughout the store endless isle await to satisfy a diverse dietary regimen. And they do offer decent sales if you feel like cruisen around hunting them down. Definitely suggest familiarizing yourself with their app and clip coupons, etc.There is potential to save.But it does take a little patience.I'd also like to note it seems like it helps promote small or new businesses with marketing so that's worth popping in to check out new and upcoming products in my opinion.

Dean, has terrible customer service, I needed assistance with my lotto tickets and he looked just miserable he didn't even say hi not introduced himself I said hi I need to check some tickets and he did not say one word my daughter noticed it as well. Dean should work somewhere else where he does not interact with people. I will be going to the Vons down the street instead.

Been coming to the El Norte location for years and I’ve seen a decline in customer service, specifically the night crew. Besides the larger man that’s a supervisor (he’s been excellent btw) the rest of the employees appear to be bothered by doing their JOB. The self checkout froze midway through scanning. No one was there to assist. The short Latina woman with dreads (apparently a supervisor as well) looked over, saw the light flashing but walked away. When the cashier at another lane called for her, she still did not come and instead stood at the far register looking through paperwork. I’m not going to assume what her priorities are, but customer service is a large portion of the job. I’ve had encounters with this same woman before and was given short, rude, not helpful answers. I stood there waiting for several minutes before I flagged down another employee. This woman rolled her eyes like somehow I’m inconveniencing her! All she said was, “I need to reboot the system, you’ll have to recheck all your items, sorry,” and walked away. I had many items already scanned so instead of risking this experience again, I packed up and moved to an actual checkout lane. This same employee, comes over, sees me waiting and asks another customer if they wanted to move into a newly opened register. Why wouldn’t you ask the person that just had to repack all their items and move to another lane?! Reading through the reviews on here, besides “our sincerest apologies,” Vons do better and hold your staff accountable to higher standards of customer service.

Been shopping here for years. Wish they had the devil eggs that are made in the veggie aisle like before. I eat them at lunch time. Over all people are sometimes nice here sometime it takes along time to get customer service to help me with money orders. Wish they pay attention to everyone not just the white folks. Sometimes I feel they don't like Mexicans. Sorry for the comment buts that's the experience I get. I rarely come to shop here

I never feel welcomed here. I haven’t been since 2020 and thought I might have a different experience. That was not the case however. I was in the flower department and FaceTimed my daughter to show her what I was getting my mom for Valentine’s Day. It was a little tree (not in a vase) and I pulled it out of the bag to show my daughter it could be easily transported (in a vase the water would spill). He point is… the florist walked towards me and pretty much yelled at me “oh no! We can’t take those out of the bag!”I told I was just trying to show my daughter what it was. If she had told me with a different tone, I would understand. She never offered me help or tried to ask what I was doing. I understand reviews about not feeling welcomed. The starts I did give were for the friendly cashier that helped me. She took out to see the little tree … in that moment I realized, I wasn’t the only customer who had probably done that.

This on the East side of the 15 is the best friendly service. Went there for cake after 8 but they made sure I walked out with a cake. Totally awesome place for grocery shopping. Thank you very much. You guys made my day! It was my daughter 's birthday 🎉

Nice clean store, shop the club pricing and you will get a pretty good value.Weird thing to note, I purchased my favorite large fine screen strainer here. Can't fine anything that comes close even on Amazon.Just a note, if your going here for Valentine's flowers you'll probably be disappointed they tend to under stalk every year. There's another wrong just west of here that has much better stock.

I would not normally rate this location this favorably. I never have good experiences here. This evening I didn't have a choice in locations and I hopped in for 2 specific items. It was busy due to the time of day but I was able to easily find what I needed. When I got to the checkout lines, they were busy but there was appropriate spacing and there were ample checkstands open. I was waiting in the express line and the self check employee waved me over. I pointed to my alcoholic purchase knowing I couldn't use the self checkout. The checker still waived me over and checker checked me out herself. She was quick, efficient and friendly.

A very rude employee refused to restock the Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA's, and the useless manager refused to do anything about it. There is no excuse for such a wealthy corporate entity to have this sort of failure and abysmal customer service.

Always clean (for a grocery store and compared to other stores in the area). I can get in and get out quickly. They don’t run out of sale items like I have experienced with other stores / locations. Staff is always nice and friendly. Love this location. Keep up the great work and thank you for all of your work during these trying times.

Everyone here is friendly and helpful lines were pretty slow but now they have self check out which is nice. I'm pretty surprised by the people complaining in other reviews a lot of things can't be controlled right now because of certain circumstances like the bags, masks and item's being out of stock. The workers here work hard and are helpful just remember these are human beings working here not your slave don't expect them to bend their knee to do every little thing you want or to put up with your hissy fits these are stressful times and they're doing their best to service your needs show some appreciation.

Really happy to have my own community Vons nearby. It is kept in such a nice and orderly fashion and the staff has always been great whenever I visit. Ordered sandwiches one day for a trip to LA and it was absolutely delicious... the only thing was that a certain bread was out of stock but it is alright, I loved the options available.

I couldn't find a very common item that I've bought many times before. I asked my cashier about it, and without checking if it was out of stock, discontinued, or had a different placement, she said that if they don't carry it, they don't have it. Also, after I waited in line for 10-12 minutes, another line opened up, and the cashier invited the person behind me to move to the head of the new line. My fellow customer refused, saying that the cashier needed to take me first. The cashier agreed with her, which was nice in the end, but usually, that's the first move a cashier makes. I will not shop at this Vons again.

I want to think Mark earlier for giving me an extra couple minutes after they closed.. I had misplaced my wallet and was freaking out but he let me continue with my charade and I still was able to get a couple things I really needed with the change I had.. he didn't have to do that.. also thank the young employee who helped me do the math on what I could grab..plus he had to put all my items back right at closing... I felt bad, but not horrible because I knew he was still on the clock....

Great experience, we have 2 Von stores near our home . Always very pleased with the experience, employees are very helpful and polite. Today we went to the one that's not so close to our home. Very impressed by the variety of products and all the shelves were totally stocked. My husband wanted to show me the Yogurt area, I couldn't believe my eyes , someone by the name of Hope was stocking, and was very helpful and knowledgeable, we had questions and she answered them without rolling her eyes to the back of her head. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that we continue shopping at our local Von stores

The line was long, and I believe the cashier was the manager she was so nice, polite and really friendly. She was so profesional that wasn't rushing any of the costumers at the register like other stores. I was carring my baby and the nice young bag men helped me to take my groceries to my car. I hardly go to this store and to be honest I love it. I will return more often now. I went there in the evening and I felt safe. Costumer service was great "A+. ". Thank you. On the receipt shows the cashier was Malia not sure if was her but she was really nice. Thank you Vons for having a great people like them. 😊😊

Stopped in for a sandwich and a few things after a long day. Gavin in the Deli section quickly whipped us up a delicious sandwich and was extremely courteous in doing so. Great to have a good store with great people in it close by!

Great selection of hot and cold food and signing up for the Vons for You app is a great idea because it sends you coupons that are based on your shopping habits. They usually have great sales and their meat department is great. They always have sale items available and are restocked constantly. Non food items can be pricey but overall a great place for grocery shopping.

Steak, Cornbread, Lactaid, and Corn Pops cereal... They had everything I was looking for and was easy to find! What else could a guy want? Maybe good customer service... Theirs was Supreme!!!My friends, and fellow Escondidonians, these are the reasons that Vons filled their Star-Bar tonight, a great reminder that staying solid daily can sew great results! Their cashier Ashley didn’t do her job. And the manager Malia would rather argue he said she said than just help a customer get what I needed. I called in advance and asked Ashley if she could please get me 20 pint sized iced creams. A specific type and flavor. She said they had the type and flavor and when I got there they were gone. I waited two hours for them to bring them to me and finally just walked out.

Every since the take over and reestablishing of my Vons it is a great experience. The woman Hope, who manages the produce is doing a fabulous job. And theentire store has changed and looks and smells wonderful.Now, it is a pleasure to shop at Vons on El Norte and Center City

This is my usual grocery store & it's a nice place to shop. The employees are friendly & helpful, especially the cashiers. My only reason for taking off a star is the checkout lines can get pretty long, and for products not being rotated it seems (not calling out all departments!)... so just make sure you always check your dates on the food you buy 😉

Variety (Big on frozen meals, refrigerated, dairy and produce !!!), and good prizes. Very often great reward coupons: today, I got a $5 off coupon for the next purchase of$5 or more. Good general bargains on the sale shelves.

Was hoping the prices would come down after the chain merged with Albertsons. Nope. Didn't happen. Food quality is average, but I only shop there if I can't find an alternative. In this case there are only two stores I was close to, both were Vons and both were on the same street, within one mile of each other. So my shopping was small. They also still have their rewards program, so I gave. The checker my phone number and saved two bucks.
