Best spot around for live fish, plants and everything else you could need for an aquarium. Prices are slightly above average but only by a matter of bucks. And for the customer service it's well worth it.

My betta got super sick a few weeks ago and I was absolutely emotionally wrecked over it. Doug was *amazing* and went way over the call of duty to help me pinpoint what was wrong in my tank and help me fix it. My betta isn’t super happy now and I feel like I’ve leveled up as a fish mom. Thanks, Doug & the aquarium live staff! 1000/10 recommended!

We consider ourselves lucky to have found that the Love Aquarium is right in our town. Doug and his team know their trade and really have a passion for aqua scapes and fish. Super helpful employees! Instead of selling us fish and pushing to make a dollar, we were told to wait 6 weeks until our tank established properly. (Who does that?) We can't wait to go back once our tank is ready to have fish. We will always be a customer!So, I forgot to add the review at first. We went back and were helped out by the most knowledgeable staff. They helped us pick plants and fish for our tank. Absolutely, top notch! I'll be back for my salt water tank soon.

The Love Aquarium is an awesome local tropical fish store. Employees are definitely down to earth and helpful with any level of aquatic enthusiasts using freshwater aquariums or saltwater aquariums. I was able to find small fish, chili rasboras, for a tank I have a betta in, with a mix of other sizes of small fish. I have a heavily planted tank for my betta and small fish mix which was spot on recommend by the employees. These guys have more information then your typical big box pet store! Shop Local!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I've wanted to stop by and happened to be in Escondido. Glad I popped in. Great selection of tropical fish, fresh and salt, and they are well taken care of. Above that the people are super cool and very helpful. I live in RB, and still this will be my goto store in the future. These days more than ever, we need to support our small businesses and this one is a gem. GO!
