Convenient, because its Escalon. While slightly a little pricey. The atmosphere is wonderful. Its always clean. Bathroom access for anyone and kept clean. The employees are informative and knowledgeable on products the store carries. They are also friendly with a smile on their faces.

I just picked up 2 nutcher milk an both are already spoiled and the expiration date is on the 12th so the milk was obviously not kept cold and this is the second time this happened now I got to drive all the way back.it's a good store but bad quality with the refrigerator for the milks.

This “USED” to be a great store. Not anymore. Many people say it’s horrible!!! I have gotten sour milk, bad fruit, old items totally expired. Too many bad items to count!!! Not sure who this manager Is but I intend to find the owners and tell them about him. It’s a joke. And the whole town is aware. Can’t see this store staying in business too much longer. It’s ridiculous!!!

I will NEVER be coming back to this store. The customer service is terrible, and the manager Michelle is extremely rude. She talks to everybody like she hates her job. She also doesn't know what she's doing. I recommend training your managers before putting them on the floor.

Love this neighborhood grocery store! They keep the store tidy and stocked well. The Manager is super friendly, and after talking with him a couple times he brought back two different food items they used to have per my request. They had a couple of days when I've been there that they are doing a BBQ event for their customers. When we first moved here, they gave my daughter a free balloon. They definitely take care of their customers!

Literally the worst grocery store I’ve ever shopped at. Employees are non existent and to top it off the majority of everything is out of stock but to make up for that they try and put other products in the place of the out of stock. Nothing is organized in other words. You’d think that for such a small town main grocery store they’d have figured out how to be efficient.

The cleanest and nicest grocery store I've been to in the area. Displays and presentations of products and foods show effort was out in to it, employees are friendly and has the small town feel. I hope this place never closes. I work around corner from it and enjoy shopping there. Prices are about normal. Support small businesses!!!

For a foothills market it's inexpensive on most items. Mountain friendly and always a clean facility. My favorite though is the sees candy. Don't have to drive all the way to clovis.

Marvel is a very clean and great store cashier girls do talk amongst themselves a little too much though and don't really focus on the job prices are a little too high for being the first grocery store that most people go to there is another grocery store in town but it's very small and it is in the building that they used to be located in their cucumbers are a dollar when the other grocery store in the town is 50 Cent they have a lot of stuff that the other grocery store has that you can get cheaper at the other grocery store in town and I'm not talking about big boy big boy is closed I'm talking about the Mexican owned wonderful grocery store but other than the prices are high and the girls don't pay attention to their job when checking you out although the girls in the deli are really good at their job they're kind they're sweet and there is very kind to my grandfather who is deaf not hard of hearing completely deaf they actually right for him so he can understand since he lost his hearing and a late age she does not do sign language and does not read lips really well so the only way to communicate with him is to right and a lot of people there that work at the store think that if they just keep on talking and if he stares at them enough that he'll understand but the girls in the deli are really sweet they always make sure that he understands they even have a pad of paper on hand to talk to him so other than those things that I mentioned the place is actually pretty good

Store is always clean. They dont necessarily have a wide selection of items but they do have quality produce and meat as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

UPDATED: We moved back to Escalon yay! So I have my Mar-Val Store back. I love their meat department and they actually have a butcher on-hand Monday-Friday 9-6 and I can get my meats, like filet mignon, sliced up the way I like. Their bakery/deli is AWESOME and we love getting sandwiches and salads from them often! The staff is super courteous and professional and the store is immaculate.

Hot today, so I took in a freezer bag. The bagger put the frozen foods in the regular bag while I was unloading the cart and the none cold foods in the freezer bag. Since I have a 40 minute trip home, I had to repack the food in the back of the car. People have no common sense anymore.

Nice store, clean and helpful, good sweets, nice deli, I always stop in here for something in the bakery/deli Dept to take home, every time I'm in Escalon, nice Lil town, I recommend Mar-Val grocery store if u need some snacks, groceries or a quick sandwich anything pre-made in the deli is good
