Going to a doggie groomer is new to me. I have had cats most of my adult life. Recently I have adopted an older dog named Bandit. Bandit does not like to be picked up and will even put his mouth on my arm if I try picking him up, so there was no way I could put him in the tub.The previous owner said that Bandit liked the groomers at the Encino Petco. So luckily, when I called, Isme C., answered the phone and she said "oh yeah, I know Bandit" so I booked the Elite package which includes bathing, nail trimming and buffering, ear cleaning, anal glands, teeth brushing and a happy good smelling dog.I have been so pleased with how Bandit was treated there and seemingly comfortable with Isme, that I have started to bring my Chihuahua mix doggie, Angel, along to get the same service, and she too seems to be happy with Isme.The cost for the basic doggie cleaning package is a good price, considering that they will drimmble (file) the nails as well. I never even book my next hair appointment, but I am now pre-booking their doggie spa days, so that they can see Isme again. Thank you Petco.... Janell

I’m sorry that I forgot her name, the person that always cuts Indy’s hair. She is very patient and sweet to my dog. That’s why when I take him to get his hair cut, he jumps right into the hair cutting table even though it’s not his turn to get his hair cut. It’s funny. He does every time we go.

The dog grooming services at Petco were awesome. I used to take my dog to my veterinarians but they would shove them in a cage and keep them there for hours. I went to Petco and my dog usually snaps at people that try to touch his nails. This person was amazing. They got my dog's nails trimmed in like 5 minutes and it was a reasonable price and I was out the door. I highly recommend Petco dog grooming services

Tara and Andrea are always professional, they always explain ahead of time of what they think will be best for my dogs. They are very kind and loving to my babies as well as very nice to their human mama. I've been bringing my dogs to Andrea and Tara and I can honestly say I was never disappointed. Always a pleasure!

Ethan, the groomer, is so wonderful. You can tell he loves animals by the way he handles them. He is always so good with my dog. She goes into he store looking like a rag-a-muffin and by the time Ethan finishes with her, she is again looking beautiful.

I found the staff very kind and professional, and they took very good care of my fur babies. I called last minute and they took in my dogs because my regular groomer was unavailable. My hours are very limited, so I can only take the dogs in on weekends for nail trim.I love the fact that they use a safer method of shortening the dog's nails by grinding rather than cutting the nails.

Ethan was friendly, professional and seemed to love my dog. She did exactly what I asked (which was just to bathe Wally and trim the hair between his paws) plus the usual nail and hygiene trim. She showed an interest in learning to groom a Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

Terra the groomer is competent, kind, thoughtful in asking me exactly what I wanted her to trim and she seems to really like my dog. I will continue taking Gypsy to Terra at Petco in Tarzana.

Such friendly and helpful people! I had mentioned that I had a big online order coming but I needed to buy this one item in person. The salesperson offered to match the online deal. She looked it up and it was substantially less!

Amber's hair was shaved the same length all over. We ask that her head and ears keep the character of her breed, with longer hair on top and ears. This was not done.

Almost impossible to get any appointment. Check and pick up take WAY too long. Cuts are okay, but not quite right - never great.

Have yellow grass from puppy or dog? Petco has treats or dog food so grass will stay green, even after dog has done their thing!
