I was going to give 3 stars but store actually seemed clean and fully stacked this time around. My on going issue with this location they have no carts so if you are planning to buy a 40 50lbs. Bag of dog food please keep that in consideration because its all the way in the back of the store. Could be a hit or miss with employees in my previous visit it was fine but the time before that they had a manager that was helping 2 cashiers and no one to help in the store to find items etc.

This location is well managed, (almost) always clean, orderly, and fully stocked. The staff overall is helpful and attentive. However, Aryana, in particular, is stellar. Going above and beyond, she handles things quickly, works efficiently, and is highly knowledgeable regarding the inventory and Petco rewards programs/store info, etc. It's fantastic employees like her that make this location stand out from the rest.

I recently had a great experience at Petco, and I wanted to share it with everyone. I visited the store to get a dog tag engraved, and while I encountered some issues with the engraving, the sales associate really went above and beyond to assist me. Their dedication to solving the problem and ensuring I got what I needed was truly commendable.Additionally, there was a price difference between the online store and the in-store prices. However, the store manager stepped in and graciously corrected the mistake, ensuring I received the product at the right price. This level of customer service and their commitment to making things right is highly appreciated.I can't thank the team at Petco enough for their exceptional service and willingness to go the extra mile to make customers happy. I will definitely be returning for all my pet-related needs in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Worst experience. I booked atv5vthey text because they wanted to leave sooner if I could bring my dog sooner I could I tried to call but it didn't went through at 2 55 I saw their text they charged my appointment to 3 pm I was there at 3 15 and she told a guy front of me she see if she can take his dog in without appointment and when she talked to me she she said I am late they can take my dog unbelievable, they could just cancel not to make a decision for me and lied to my face such a awful experience .they didn't give a damn about their customer

Refusing to sell me 4 goldfish and a aquatic plant because I did not have time to talk about my tank size. Employees seem unhappy, unfriendly , prejudice . I was helped by Ciara who claims to be the manager but did not use basic customer service skills and seemed like she wanted everybody out!

We came it to get a refill of Kitty litter. We found the place to fill the jar and made our way to the check stand. There were two employees standing talking and didn't seem to notice that we were waiting to check out. Once we got their attention they were pleasant but we waited several minutes in the area waiting to see which register was going to open. All were left unattended.

The employees here are the absolute worst. Laughing at clients and lying to clients to their face. I only come here because it’s the closest to my house but after my experience today I will be going to a different location and possibly a different chain all together. The girls that work there have terrible customer service. On top of that, The store is dirty all the time and is never stocked. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else.

My dogs used to shake and tremble before grooming day and now they wait patiently for their turn. I attribute a lot of that to the great team at PetCo Encino. Very friendly and loving to my pooches.

the worst place. I called to ask if I can donate 8 little fishes and they told me “yes” to take them to the store, and when I arrived they treated me very badly, the manager told me no, they couldn't do them because I hadn't called before, and I got upset because if I call before going. I wanted to donate them because I can't have them at home anymore

This petco just get worse and worse. The girls here are all just openly complaining about their job, ignoring customers. Watched some kids ask a girl what a bearded dragon needed and she proceeded to roll her eye and turn away. The entire fish department was covered in water. No wet signs up. This place is a disaster. They need better employees. Save your time. Go elsewhere.

The girl in the aquarium dept was very helpful and polite.I can't quite remember her name but she was about 20 short hair and friendly with everyone. I bought 6 fish and their food. Clean store and nice employees.Will recommend to friends and family.

Been to multiple Petco grooming locations have never had any issues. Never even been told by any of the groomers at any of the Petco locations that my dog has been anything other than a "sweetheart"Then suddenly my appointment at this location gets canceled because my dog was flagged as aggressive in the system??? I called the last Petco location I took him to and asked why I wasn't informed of this "aggressive behavior" and they denied ever placing that flag on my dog. So either this location is lying and discriminating against me or the other location failed to let me know of my dog's behavior. Either way won't be returning to any Petco for any of my pet's needs.

Prices like everything else these days are ridiculous. They do have everything I needed however I didn't get much help until I got to the register. The cashier left the register to help me. I guess they are understaffed.

I love this Petco, i’ve been coming to it ever since i first got my dog last year and Kimberly has been the absolute biggest help ever. And she cares so much about all her customers and she’s so caring, she takes time to answer any concerns or questions and her positive energy and attitude is so uplifting I never want to leave the petco! If i could give this review a ten stars i would, i appreciate everything kimberly, and this petco has done to help me take care of my dog! 😊

Avoid this Petco at all costs. No employees, store disorganized, dirty, smells, one cashier no matter what. Employees are clueless there if even find one.

This Petco is disappointing. The staff here are incedibly rude; most notably certain female employees that clearly care little for customer service/care. They are rude, inconsiderate and lack professionalism. I run a dog care business and utilize Petco for inumerable purchases. I am so turned off by services that I am switching to Pet Smart in hope of finding better services. SUPER DISAPPOINTED! Avoid this Petco at all costs and their extreme lack for consideration of their customers.

This Petco had been here forever. It has a good grooming salon, but the rest of the store is average. They have good stock for certain items, and lack stock for others. The aisles are fairly clean and it's pretty easy to navigate. Pricing is fair/average with their competition. Customer service is fine.

Very rude manager Charles who accused me of lying and was disrespectful and dismissing of me insinuating I was lying about a package of training classes I purchased from Petco. He made zero effort to help me. He lied about being the manager too. He accused me of lying and said they offered refunds for a year yet my purchase was made less than a year ago. This experience was so awful I will never return to Petco again! I signed up for training classes and after 2 classes the teacher was fired. The store did not assist with any help but they sure wanted to keep my $500. I would think they would offer assistance since they no longer were offering a product due to problems with their employee. I went in to speak with the manager but she was not there about the issue but instead of having the manager call me I had to go back into the store where she was short and dismissive of me telling me to sign up for classes with another store. Only problem was I could not easily do that since I had already paid for the class they no longer offered. Due to Covid all the classes I signed up for were xcanelled . . I told the Charles guy I had been caring for my dad who has Parkinson’s and my neighbor who is in his last stages of his battle with cancer and he still was rude and offered no help. The only care about money and not the customer or correcting an issue the customer was made to deal with. Pathetic and greedy!!!!

Very friendly staff. I just wish they had more selection of human grade dog food. The quality of the ingredients of even very expensive brands of pet food is shockingly low, unless it's certified human grade. Fortunately Petco had the brand we were looking for and gave us a discount on it. Always ask for a discount - you never know! 😊
