UPDATED REVIEWThis has to be the worst CVS ever but there's a lot of competition honestly with this type of CVS rite aid store. But now that I come to give my two star review which now gets a one-star review and I'm updating my prior review from two stars to one star. Definitely stay away from the store. The checkout machines aren't working they don't have enough tellers and then this guy was confrontational when I basically said how difficult it was to check out it was literally impossible. So I see I left a bad review and now I'm leaving another one and I wish there were something that would tell you when you canceled the store and that it should alert you on Google that you should not go there. I had another experience like this at a different store and some stores are just bad. I had a second bad experience at a UPS store and the management couldn't be nicer but some of these people are flat out irresponsible and hostile and they work there and they're probably underpaid. I just think it's a terrible shame.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis is a terrible CVS. I had a terrible experience trying to get my covid booster that was scheduled at another address, without being clear at all, and then the link gave me a phone number to the pharmacy to an out of state that was running a telephone bank. None of the signs in the location where clear, consistent with a lot of chains they don't even show you where to go or are they consistent with what's in a text or email. I cannot say how unpleasant this environment is and there were a lot of people waiting... the staff was helpful when I asked what was happening but they wasted a lot of my time and it was a horrible place to be. I'm going somewhere else. I called the other location trying to salvage my appointment and I just said you know what? Enough of CVS. Go somewhere else. And you know what? That whole setup shows how little they care. It's great to have them everywhere and to have this ability to get shots and what have you but the level of caring is low.

After today's experience, I would avoid this pharmacy if you can. Long story short, our dog has an osteosarcoma and needed pain medication. On Wednesday my wife turned in the new prescription, but was told she would have to wait to Saturday to get it refilled (it was calculated that the number of pills on the previous prescription would get us to then). On Saturday my wife went in, and was told the prescription couldn't be refilled until Sunday (by their count, we should have still had one pill). Because our dog was in great pain, we went to the pharmacy when it opened on Sunday. Was our prescription ready? No, it still hadn't been filled. The clerk told us it would be expedited, but it wasn't filled for an hour and a quarter. When I inquired about the wait, I was told that there were other prescriptions being processed ahead of us. I explained how we had tried to have the prescription filled on Wednesday, and then again Saturday, so I was puzzled while we still seemed to be in the back of the line on Sunday. This pharmacy appears to be understaffed and overworked, and there is a clear lack of communication (i.e. since we were in on Saturday and unable to get our prescription, why did we have to wait so long on Sunday?). Very bad experience especially knowing there was a dog in pain waiting at home. Final note - it doesn't engender much confidence to see so much trash on the floors around us. Bad marks all around.

Call corporate= get results! Worst customer service topped off with a bad attitude.I went to the isle marked baby formula, grab the card that said "available at front checkout", and go up front to buy it. He said "Do you see it back there?!" as if I'm supposed to know where to look. Next he said "You don't see it back there because we don't have it." I asked him why don't they take down the cards that say "AVAILABLE AT THE FRONT CHECKOUT"He looked confused as if he suddenly forgot how to speak English. I'll drive out of my way before I ever go back in there again.

I scheduled my Covid booster online. They only had evening appointments in which I did not have childcare, but I had an appointment and thought it would be quick.No.Arrived on time, waited in a long line and asked the wait time. “I don’t know. 5, 10, 20 minutes?” Why did I make an appointment if it wasn’t going to be honored? I sat down and the woman next to me informed me that she had already been waiting 35 minutes. I left after 45 minutes and was unable to get my shot. I had to get home to my four year old.It’s ridiculous that I bother to make an appointment, find childcare, drive there and wait for a scheduled time - and they don’t honor the time or let me know they’re running behind. (They texted me to check in. They could text to let me know they were xx minutes behind.) Epic fail.

Super rude old ginger woman scoffed at me and was incredibly condescending when I told her that the machine I was using to ring myself up on wasn't working (I tried 3 times and for some reason it wouldnt read my card). The store was completely empty so it's not like she was busy. Just too lazy and rude to want to do her job of ringing up customers. Not to mention everything in the store is outrageously overpriced. Don't waste your time or money here. I definitely will not be back.

Honestly I’m shocked. I get we are all stressed out trying to make do of the pressures we are going through now. I called from advice of another CVS tech to call other branches to ask for my prescription. So I did and I called this location. I was immediately talked down to and I had no idea where that was coming from. He was male, didn’t say his name. I was trying to answer his question and had to cut him off of mid “venting” to give him my prescription. I have no idea what he was yelling at me about since I was overwhelmed with anxiety. He literally said “No” upon hearing my answer and hung up. Funny thing, he already knew from when he picked up my call this was exactly how he wanted to act. I mean we are adults now right? I mean did I cry about it ? No but, it definitely had me leaving with more questions about how tech/ pharmacist are being trained etc. It sparked my interest despite this techs broken attitude.

The beauty consultant Geraleline was so beautiful, kind ,and helpful. She greeted me right away and was consistent and helping me right away. I was looking for something in particular, but instead got some beautiful tinted lip plumpers and some serum for my eyes. Definitely the CVS to go into when looking for skincare or makeup. Thank you so much again sweetheart

I’ve been going to this pharmacy for 15 years or more. The staff is largely incompetent and nearly always rude and abusive. One woman in particular who works during the day (name starts with a “T”) is clearly annoyed that you have the nerve to be sick and have prescriptions filled there. Today was the last straw: My son had surgery and I went in to pick up a prescription after calling ahead (and waiting on hold for 10 minutes) to confirm the prescription was ready for pick up. Of course, 15 minutes later when I arrived at the pharmacy, they couldn’t find it after “looking” for it. The technician, another regular employee there (name starts with an “M”), was confused as usual and asked when the doctor called it in. When I said I called ahead and was told it was ready, she became repeatedly passive aggressive stating loudly she would do her “due diligence” to find it. As I was leaving the store after checking out, she screamed at me to have a nice day” (sarcasm, obviously) in front of a line of customers. I’m embarrassed on her behalf. I was in the day before as well picking up a prescription for my son ahead of his surgery, and they screwed that one up too. I’ve never had anything but problems at this location. If you want to be abused and have your prescriptions consistently messed up, this is the place for you. Otherwise, go somewhere else. There is a post on Nextdoor about this pharmacy. This location needs to have the entire staff (including management) replaced.

Luan from the pharmacy is incredibly rude and downright uncaring. Firstly, she did not want to attend me literally sighing in dismay as she sat down. She then proceeded to laugh and smirk when she said they didn’t have the medication I needed, saying they were on back order and I would have to go to a different pharmacy if I wanted my meds. Literally the worst experience especially before having surgery. She should be fired.

This CVS is the best CVS in the area. I drive out of my way to come to this CVS because their shelves are typically fully stocked, the checkout clerks are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I haven't always had the same experience at other CVS stores in the area, but almost always have a good experience at this CVS.

The young man helping me today was incredibly polite, personable and helpful. A very refreshing experience these days. I don’t remember his name but he is on break from the University of Colorado. Thank you for being friendly and professional.

Lost ONLY my prescriptions that were abusable meds. The other medications sent with them were filled, but I was told that my other prescriptions had never been sent. My doctor confirmed that he had sent them multiple times, and that he had never encountered this problem before at this location, EXCEPT for with my medications. Techs had told me different stories at different times.Was straight up told my insurance doesn’t cover a common, generic medication. I called insurance and they confirmed it was a covered medication. Took it down the street to the other CVS, where they confirmed coverage.Manager at this location was rude when we tried to explain our situation.

The worst experience, I took my wife for Oral surgery, Doctor send prescription for 2 item one was mouth wash and the other one was pain killer, when I arrived waited 45 minutes to get the medicine and the pain Keeler was mousing, I asked the pharmacist this was 2 medication, and she said just go to drop off and wait for someone to help you, Mr, Attitude came and checked the computer and he said your insurance blocked, I said you never asked me how I am paying, I don’t have insurance and I pay cash……. He said you are giving us hard time I am canceling the medication I said my wife is in pain so please pass this, I have no insurance and pay cash, he said wait 15 minutes, I waited 20 minutes went back to the counter and she said pharmacist left and he didn’t push the prescription, but I can expedite it takes 15 minutes, I tole her to relay message to Mr. attitude that what he did was inhuman, I called the doctor and they seen prescription to Costco, by the time I arrived at Costco medicine was ready and guess how much was the cash payment! Only freaking $10.60I will never use CVS and suing them for the aggravation they caused me.I could tell you CVS will go out if business in matter of 5 years.

The pharmacy staff are routinely helpful. On several occasions, an example being earlier today, they will call the doctor/office if a script needs clarification or hasn't arrived.Thank you Susan C. for calling the urgent care and getting the order for my medicine over the phone when the Dr. and or staff who were responsible did not complete their task of calling it in.This CVS is unparalleled when it comes to helpful, pleasant staff. Thank you for making the unpleasant times of being sick a little bit better.

Dropped off prescription and they told me to return in an hour. I waited I’m line for 10 min and they told me, it would be another 30 minutes. I returned again over an hour later and they said, it still wasn’t ready. I told them, I would not leave the pharmacy cashier booth until my prescription was finished and l would not allow another customer to be served until my prescription was filled. They completed it in thee minutes. This is the worst pharmacy, I have ever utilized. I strongly recommend not to fill prescriptions at this CVS.

The prices are extremely high. I compared the prices to many different places, including Target, and even with a coupon, I paid over ten dollars more for vitamins. Everything is over priced. Now they have a self check out that is very time consuming and utterly annoying. I observed many people struggling with it before it was my turn to use it. Among the most annoying is the machine forcing customers to choose "round up or down" your total purchase amount to donate to CVS's chosen charity. If anyone from corporate is reading this, please eliminate all of the annoying prompts from the self-check out and you'd at least have one problem solved since there are still a lot of people willing to pay double the price for vitamins and supplements.

Helpful staff. Very personal. I was able to get my kid’s generic junior epipen from them before my child leaving in a trip. They requested the prescription from another pharmacy who didn’t have the drug in stock. They called many times to request for me. Very happy with their help.Good customer services when on the phone as well!

outside of a couple of people occasionally, customer service is less than stellar. It's like you can tell they don't enjoy working there, especially one in particular who is monotone everytime I've encountered her. Last straw came with a pretty snarky comment I received from an associate yesterday when I called and was checking on an RX (that I wasn't sure was transferred yet to the new pharmacy). I checked on CVS online and it said status unavailable. Her comment " it says it's been transferred you don't know where?" with a snotty attitude......UHH hello Mc Fly! that's why I'm checking. I'm now with Pill Pack. This CVS sucks.

After my experience with the CVS on Lomas Santa Fe, this CVS Pharmacy went above and beyond to assist me and find the medication that I need. Corey (I hope I spelled that correctly, my apologies for any misspelling) who works in the pharmacy is absolutely amazing. She helped me in any way possible and when she didn’t know something, went the extra mile to find it out for me. She was kind, helpful, and her customer service skills are impeccable. I appreciate that even in a hectic time at both your store and in the world, there are still good people who are willing to help others in a time of need. Professionalism was exuberant throughout the experience and she even apologized for the actions of the CVS on Lomas Santa Fe. I appreciate the help, professionalism, and care that I received here and will definitely be making this CVS my new go to. Thank you again!!

Mary and Mariana are this encinitas cvsREALLY helped me with awkward problems downloading and printing photos from a unfamiliar site.they got right to it, analyzed the problem, creatively solved it and got me out in a reasonable time.They were very capable as well as being welcoming and professional.

Staff is relatively friendly, unfortunately the pharmacy makes mistakes all the time, I.E. saying it is too early to pick up certain meds when it has been the required 28 days; they frequently miss the "promised" time, and last but not least the pharmacy treats anyone picking up a restricted medication like some kind of addict. It's very disapointing to see people, and personally experience, being treated different due to the meds they take. Other than those gripes, the store is nice.

Getting prescriptions filled by overworked staff has drawbacks. I was wrongly charged for a drug and had to have Blue Shield call CVS to inform them of pricing per 14 day and 40 day dosages.

Both to me, and the woman before me in line who was absolutely harassing her over some dumb thing with her receipt. Would give the store an extra star if I could just for Mariah.

DO NOT ever use this pharmacy or spend a dime in there. Especially not for a prescription. The pharmacist refused, against CA state law, to let me buy a box of insulin needles because, she announced in front of the waiting room, "that I could use them for meth". I am a 60 year old lady and I have been a customer there for 22 years. I transferred all my prescriptions to rite aid. Folks, DO NOT depend on this store for anything related to your health or well being.

Teri is an absolute gem at the pharmacy. Any issues Ive ever had with insurance she has always navigated through the hassles and gotten coverage approved no matter how long she'd be on the phone. And when a medication was not covered, she always got the best price for me. The best. Thanks Teri and staff.
