A small Mexican food market that's packed with everything one could need. They have a variety of hot food options. The carnicería (butcher area) has quality options of beef, chicken & pork. I like their dairy options of cheeses and sour creams. They also have ready made salsas, too. Their pan dulce (sweet bread) is yummy, too.

If there was a zero stars, I’d give it to this crap whole!! My husband and I have been coming here for years! We will NOT be coming back! So many other better places in Modesto! Your manager should not be in her position. I had a misunderstanding with my burritos and told the lady cooks. I don’t speak Spanish and I’m sure it was a language barrier. They wanted me to pay for the wrong burritos before they make the right ones. I asked to speak to the manager and after waiting 20min, she came out looking like a tyrant and had THE worst attitude. She didn’t ask me what happened or what she could do to fix the problem. She made it very clear that her customers are not a priority. Her whole demeanor was immediately defensive to my issue. She wouldn’t look at me when I was trying to explain what happened. I asked her twice why she can’t look at me. She said “I hear you”. She was EXTREMELY rude!! I finally got my “correct” burritos after waiting 30minutes.I’m sure you’ll respond with, “you’ll use this for training” like you have been for the past few years. Obviously, nothing has changed! You just lost a loyal customer and I’ll be sure my family and friends know too. Thank you! No Thank You!

Well where for I start, 1st I heard that there food was good(tacos, burritos, etc) then Seen there Meats and Produce along with the baked goods(Mexican pastries) OMG.. I tried alittle bit of everything(Felt like a 🐷 piggy😁) but just Had to try.. Well it was worth the drive.. they Get busy..and Now I see.. everything is Yummy 😋 So.. if you live close to Empire or wonder if the drive is worth it.. well I Highly recommend this Place..👍👍👍👍👍

I was passing by Empire stoped by to buy some snacks. This store has plenty of mexican products. Also there meat department is nice with fresh meats. The service was nice and friendly. There chorizo is pretty good I recommend it...

Rude, I'll never go back. We order from the juice place and ordered Food so we were waiting for the food And juices It was so packed with people.So he forgot to ask for the juices and grabbed our food. We didn't realize until we And keys we call Dom and ask them if we can come pick up the carrot. Juice, but choose the next day because we went already where out of town and they said no. We had a pick up there. It was on the counter, but nobody had told him or gave him to the And they said they wouldn't refund our money. It was $20. My husband says to go to these in the wall. Markets just support them, but then they act like that.

Really good Mexican house food inside and mini grocery market. But rude cooks no ordering system in place. If you have a hour to waste standing around waiting for your food and watch new customers arrive and get there food, and then be asked if you want to order. When you order 40 minutes ago.

If I can give this store 0 stars for their service I would. My wife and I came to this store today to buy some groceries. As we walked in and headed towards the meat department, the gal at the register yelled out you cannot enter the store with a backpack. We walked back to the front and she again stated no backpacks allowed and that we can leave my wife's bag on the soda cases up front where anyone can clearly just walk up and take. For one, it was my wife's purse and second there is no sign posting so. And lastly even if I humored your request to leave my wife's bag unattended at the front will you take responsibility if anything was taken? Man, you definitely lost my family's business, and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family not to spend our money here.

Love this place! I go here mostly for the large variety of meats and seafood! (Asada, chorizo, oysters and shrimp). However, I have recently began to try their cooked to order foods and their breads/doughnuts and let me tell you! The birria and conchas are superb! Another great thing is that they are located on the way to Modesto Reservoir, Don Pedro Reservoir, La Grange Off-Road Park and McSwain/McClure Lakes! A must stop for great BAR-B-QUE to take on those trips!

The hot food is not that good and everything i asked they did the opposite on hot food .it's greasy it even went through the plastic bag horrible!!! I don't recommend it at all. I will not be going back at all . I rate it a - 100 from a 0 I went back to get some meat to cook I was charged for rib eye and I purchased chicken . I called and asked for manager and she didn't want to give her name and said it wasn't thier fault and hung up I will never go back to you store . You need to train you employees to be professional at thier service and be respectful to customers.

Everything good. Women who's pregnant has a yuckie face. All employees have a good attitude. Women who's pregnant needs to have a good attitude. She leaves with a yuckie face and yells not yells but in a serious way says have a good day as in she wants you to leave. If she wants to be treated with respect has to learn to have a good attitude. Not only that a baby is on her way and has to show him how nice she is to her customers. Don't look at them in a yuckie face and leave. Disrespectful needs to say anything else we can help instead of leaving them. Show you want to work. Show that kid your a hard working mom.

My hubby only ask if they have paper for board. She said but I notice other employ laugh. It's not like respect us. I just don't like they laugh. I just ask it.
