Safeway in Laguna Creek is one of the earlier supermarkets in Elk Grove/Laguna Creek. It has been remodeled a couple of times. So the store is looking good both inside and out. Shopping in this Safeway makes me feel comfortable, and the area is safe. The cashiers and all the other staff are very friendly and helpful. I love to shop at this Safeway.

Shopping is fine. Cashiers talk too much, so I always go to self-checkout. At the self-checkout they watch you like a hawk. Very unpleasant experience. Imagine someone staring at you while you try to scan your produce.

If I could give it NEGATIVE stars I would. Not only is this store full of incompetent employees but I went in there Weds and EVERY tomato was rotten! The Produce is terrible, unripe or over-ripe fruit, and rotten veggies. The one downtown is awesome.

Good sized store could use a few more handicap carts. Well stocked and laid out. Starbucks inside. Pipes unwrapped in the bathrooms under the sink (once you repair that please contact me to edit this revieew). Friendly service. Plenty of checkers when I was there. Big parking lot as well

Quite possibly the best safeway I have ever been in, huge selection, lots of hard to find stuff. Even the product was faced like it should be! The apple selection was crazy! This is now our grocery store.

This store has THE NICEST EMPLOYEES in the world. We enjoy our shopping experience there. Bryan Mitchell is an outstanding person that is very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Bryan, for making my day!!!This was written a year ago, when I first moved to Elk Grove. Bryan has always had a great greeting every time we see him. This store has the kindest employees that make us feel welcome in EVERY single department. Thanks a million!

My go to place for cakes for all occasions. I have tried multiple bakeries and the Safeway cakes are up there. My all time favorite is the tres leches with fresh fruit they have. I recently tried the mousse cake topped fruit and it was delicious. Will definitely try again and will slot into back up if I can’t get a hold of their tees leches.

I normally have great things to say about Safeway but the lady in the BAKERY DEPARTMENT is HORRIBLE this is not the 1st encounter I had with her. I came to place my order for a bday cake. She tells me to give her a few minuets and she will be right back 20 minuets LATER I track down an employee who tells me she’s on her LUNCH are you KIDDING Me!!!! How unprofessional they finally got my Oder in 51 minuets later. Overall a horrible experience and not what I expect from Safeway 😞

I'm not normally a Safeway shopper but I signed up for a membership card the other day and went to this store. I ran across some very good deals, even got a free dozen of eggs. The store was very clean. I was pleasantly impressed with the young folks (employee's). Extremely helpful and very courteous. Thank you young folks. What I didn't like was the deli service. I requested 2 pieces of chicken and while I waited 10 minutes I noticed that the 3 servers weren't wearing gloves while handling food. I wasn't comfortable with that so I cancelled my order and mentioned that to the manager.

Shameful manager. Shameful management. Rude customer service. Only few line open while there is a big line of customers waiting long time.If you are in a hurry go to Belaire store they have no waiting line like Safeway.

My daughter found a screw in my fruit tart and almost ate it. Customer service offered a refund. Please make sure to check your food before eating, this is highly unsafe. I was told that the fruit tart was not made in the store and was shipped from else where.

The workers there are very rude, the cashier refused to give me my change (7 dollars); when I came back to the store and corrected the cashier, she gave me only a penny and glared at me like I was in the wrong. I brung her manager, the manager was NOT professional AT ALL. The manager gave me the change but never apologized for the inconvenience. NOT ONLY THAT, another worker said to me "Are you now happy?" as if this was all my fault. If I didn't went back and get that 7 dollar change, I would've not be able to afford basic necessities for my family because we are lower class and 7 dollars could afford a lot of things that we need. When I was about to leave, the cashier and manager were still wrongfully mad and proceeded to mock my asian features and accent. NEVER GOING BACK !!!!

Up until I got to the self check out all was great. I had some items that were on clearance, the price hadn't been reduced after addi g my number. I called to the employee and her rude response was it will come off after you pay! WHAT?I was a employee of Safeway and this was not a appropriate response.I wish I had gotten her name.The price did finally reduce before I payed.

Some of the comments on here make me wonder if people are just trying to be funny like the one on here about pumping gas. Last time I checked, this location doesn’t offer that. I’ve have nothing but positive experiences at this location

Update! Changing to a 5 starThe bakery staff are just phenomenal!! They also go out of their way to help me. I would tell you what I normally, but then you would know how amazing they are, and they would always be sold out. But trust me when I say, they make the best baked goods. 10 out of 10. Strongly recommend.Previous review:Staff is helpful and goes out or their way to ask if you are looking for something. The only reason I did a 4 star is because the checkers are very very slow

All is good l really like the app to clip coupons before you shop, you can really save some money.The reason l give this Elk Grove store 4 stars instead of 5 is because management ignores that the lines can get very long and you can stand in line up to average of 20- 35 minutes. Actually gets a bit ridiculous, not enough lines open for customers not enough baggers and management doesn't come out and help once in awhile like other stores do.

I get gas pretty often at Safeway but today it says see attendant I have never had a problem getting gas before which now created a line I had to wait in when my card works just fine at the pump but why do I need to come see attendant just to put my pin number in

Safeway, always a place in my heart for them. My foster dad spent his whole career as a manager for various departments in different stores.It was a shame when they sold themselves to another grocery company, but great that they remained Safeway and the Safeway brand.High quality, excellent service, excellent food options, fresh food options, just a tad heavy on the wallet, but you get what you pay for, and Safeway has always offered premium services.Nothing has changed.I may not go as often as I like because I've become addicted to places like Costco and Sam's, but Safeway is always an excellent choice.

Out of fried chicken.(not really a proble) The one guy that "only works the chin3se food side wouldn't assist me in getting food. he asked another employee about chicken and their response was "I don't feel like doing it. They can buy something else"... complained on the way out but don't expect anything to change.

This is where I do my most of my grocery shopping. It's hard to shop anywhere else when the staff is as friendly and helpful as they are. However, lately they have been out of some of the items I usually get there. I realize there is a supply chain issue, but a lot of the items are their own brands and items I used to get regularly. The fruit and vegetables have been great sometimes and mediocre other times.
