2024.02.01... be sure to try the new coffee with strawberry flavoring sort of a theme for February it's delicious.Speaking of delicious they're dark coffee is not that strong, but the strawberry mocha has enough coffee flavor that really makes it delicious it's a nice treat if you want to just try something different from just straight coffee.2023.08.31 - Love this place they've got the best coffee. Today I had a Mayan coffee - back and available. Yum!2023.06.10 - Weekend visit. Just tried the latte with 2% and it was quite good.March 2023 - All the pastries good and the drinks and that you've even got some cold pressed juices.For a limited time starting in February 2023 they've got a white mocha with strawberry that is delicious.

If I could give 0 star I would. Usually come to this shop twice weekly for over one year. I order the same thing each time. The assumed manager has helped me multiple times. This morning I go in, the cashier rang me up for a hot version of my usual. Manager gave me the hot drink and I told him I always get iced. He was adamant that I ordered hot. Is the customer always right or is he? Made me pay for an iced drink. So now I'm leaving, with two drinks. Manager says "make sure to ask for iced next time" I'm wondering how someone with no customer service skills has an operating business...probably why I was the only customer in there. Don't recommend this place, but Temple Coffee, 18 Grams, and even the Nugget Market holds higher levels of grounds, syrups and customer service. The managers response to my initial review simply reflects his lack of understanding of customer satisfaction. Understandable why his staff appear so displeased with their workplace, not very welcoming.

I wasn't satisfied 100 % but I will come back!This is the first time I visited this cafe. It was around 8:30 in the morning and there were already some people waiting for orders in the cafe.There were some pastries in the showcase and I asked the staff if they are all the bakeries they had and she said yes so I ordered two croissants. (One with bacon, one with jalapeno). I also ordered a hot latte.Later on I found out they had other foods menu as sandwiches. I wish the staff told me when I asked. I would have ordered sandwiches instead of two croissants.I waited for a while and two croissants came out first. I kept them and waited but it took a while till I got my latte. Croissants became not too warm because of the wait.I wish they served bakeries and drink at the same time. I could see there were some people who had online orders so the staff was busy making drinks, but I really hope it gets improved so I didn't have to wait that way.The latte flavor was very good but I felt it wasn't hot enough. I just saw a lady who was waiting for her muffin and her drink.She also got her muffin first and had to wait for her drink.She was also asking the staff to re-heat her muffin and make her coffee extra hot after she received her order, so I found out that I wasn't the only one who felt the way I did.The atmosphere of the cafe was very nice and staffs were very nice which I loved.Just the cafe inside was so cold. I came to the cafe to feel warm but my body felt icy cold and couldn't enjoy the food and coffee fully. I also worry for stuffs if they won't catch a cold working in this cold room.I hope the environment will be improved both for customers and workers.Even though I wasn't fully satisfied for the first visit, I would love to come back and try their different drinks and bakeries because I want to support local business.Thank you for reading my review!Parking: There are several spots in front of the cafe and also around.

My experience here was quite traumatic, So much so that I had to file a complaint with the better business bureau. The owner Anthony became verbally aggressive and hostile with me when I informed him that I could not yet purchase anything due to the fact that it was still my fasting window (My church is currently undergoing a 21 day fast). I typically purchase a croissant each time that I come in. about half an hour after coming into the shop I got up to look at the bakery items to determine which one I wanted to purchase to take with me as a to go. I returned back to my seat to continue my work. Anthony approached me the first time and asked if I had purchased anything. I stated that I had not. The second time Anthony came to me and said that I needed to move from the seat that I was sitting in so that I paying customer could use the outlet. I informed him of the fast. He began to state the I could leave and go to a library or home. His lack of social skills and inability to properly engage with others failed him because he did not know that prior to him coming to harass me and berate me, I had gotten up to look at the pastries. The level of religious persecution and harassment is not like any that I have experienced from any business. I hope that Anthony reflects on his engagement with others and improves.

Loved the atmosphere and quietness of the location. My cappuccino was delicious and the blueberry muffin was good but I requested warm and it was cold. Customer service was good. But the place needs to tidy up a bite. Crumbs all over the floors and chairs and the table is dirty. Needs to wipe down after each customer used.

Wanted to update my review because I found out the name of the very rude man I had an interaction with. His name was Anthony. Looking at other reviews I feel relieved I'm not the only person who had a troubling experience with this man. It was my first time at this coffee shop and I asked where my bagel was since I had noticed that people behind me were already getting their orders (I did not even mention this part because I didn’t want to sound petty, I was generally curious!!) and he started showing attitude for no reason when being asked this simple question. Then when he brought out my bagel it had egg in it when I specifically just asked for cream cheese which is fine because mistakes happen, however, when my friend went up to Anthony and let him know he snapped at her in front of everyone and told her to “talk to the other guy because it’s not his problem”. There is a way to talk and treat customers and this is definitely not it. Overall a really bad experience and such a bad vibe. I wanted to like it since I live so close and go to school nearby but I would rather just take the 5 minute drive and go to Pete’s Coffee.

I don’t write reviews that reflect poorly on a business. But I have made an exception. I have been to Rescate about two years ago and had such a wonderful experience. So I was back in town and looked them up to see if they were still open. I read a few recent poor reviews. And I thought it was probably a fluke or someone having a bad day. So I decided to try them again hoping for a good experience. When I got there the gentleman working there (which I assume was the owner) he barely even looked in my direction as if I was bothering him so I waited for him to assist me with my order. The music was loud enough that it made it hard to hear him as he kind of mumbled. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee which by the way was great! And an avocado toast. I was the only one in the store and he seemed very frustrated and or annoyed that he had a customer. Another employee entered the shop and he was much friendlier and more attentive. When I ordered my avocado toast the other gentlemen told me they were out of one of the items that were on the toast and I said that’s fine. Well when I got it, it was literally 6 half cherry tomatoes and a very thin layer of avocado type spread. I will post the picture. Overall it was not a good experience and it made me sad because I love supporting small businesses and turns out the other reviews I had read from most recent were correct. I hope they can figure it out and become amazing again.

I came here for a cars and coffee event. (If you’re a car person every Sunday from 9:00am-11am). So I came inside here for a cup of coffee. The employees were very nice. The place has a big selection of goodies and coffee. They have inside seating and also outside. I went with a normal dark coffee. It smelled good once I prepared it I took a sip and was amazed! I’m not a picky person when it comes to coffee so a normal dark roast is fine but this dark roast was great. They have nice ice blended drinks as well. Also Vietnamese coffee too! They do roast on site! It is a little drive for me but it’s well worth it. I can’t wait for it to be Sunday again so I can get another amazing cup.

A cozy coffee shop with nice outdoor setting. If you are into woody decor and vintage touch, this place is for you . I ordered coffee and I liked the taste. They don’t have too much selection on coffee but I liked the one I got. It might not be that easy to find a port for your laptop, especially if it is busy. I thought, the staff is friendly and welcoming at first, but I felt uncomfortable when the barista come to me a lower my voice when I was in interview via Skype. I understand, the need for the notice, but it should be done by writing me the issue on a paper and slide it for me to see it. Interrupting people on call is rude and unprofessional.

I love having new experiences. I went to Good Friday service to substitute for Sunday Easter service....Said to my guy ( Starbucks fan) let’s go try this place Easter Sunday. Now I’m not a huge coffee fan, other than let me French press a cup or 2 when I want it. I’m so glad I suggested this... the joint had a steady pace of clients, but felt so relaxed.. We talked to a young couple who shared our “space” , who are regulars, they said keep coming until you find what you really like. My guy who is always super wired and doesn’t need coffee, made the comment it’s “so relaxed” compared to his other place.. My specialty coffee was sweeter than I had hoped. The spinach feta croissant with added egg and bacon , perfectly simple and filling. I think if it was closer to home my guy would dump the other place. Will definitely go back!

Still no ceramic cup. Why not. It's bottomless with a La Marzocco Linea. Yet the pouring time is way too short and they transfer from a tin cup (unless you request not to). The dark roast comes out too strong. Taste reminds me of the Nescafé my mum used to serve us as kids. Am heading to Starbucks!

Awesome atmosphere, large selection of pastries (non-vegan) and menu items (vegan options). Tried a simple black americano to get a feel for the espresso quality - served very hot but overall spicy, nutty medium roast. Properly prepared and tasty. Seating and power options limited but still good given the space, there are medium leather chairs for reading and a long table for computer work or group work. Overall a dope, industrial cafe vibe. Slow WiFi, but it’s a little busy at 4PM so it makes sense. Good spot to spend an hour sipping a coffee and working/studying.

Love Rescate so much!! They are the friendliest people, great quality and offer such a wide variety of products. The effort they put into providing the best coffee, tea, etc. really shows. Have been coming here pretty much since they opened and it’s such a treat every time I visit. Also really appreciate that they partner with local Raquel’s Pet Treat Shop, my red nose pup loves the peanut butter dog biscuits! Ladd is the coolest! Thanks you guys!

I'm not in this part of the Elk Grove that much, but when I do I like to stop here and grab coffee or breakfast. I love their scones and croissants. I came on a late Saturday morning and the special croissants are sold out. Since I had coffee already, I only got pastries. I usually get their iced vietnamese coffee or any specials. The apple cinnamon scone is my favorite right now. It's soft with subtle sweetness and a hint of cinnamon.Limited seating inside. There is a small outside patio with tables and chairs.

I've been coming to Rescate for about a year now. Coffee is great. I love their seasonal options. Food is great. Their lane system is convenient. However, service could be better, specifically there is a man there and I'm not sure if he's a manager or owner, but he has been extremely rude on multiple occasions to not only me but I have witnessed it with other customers as well. The rest of the staff has been incredibly nice! This man questions customers relentlessly on picking up their orders at their designated lanes like they're stealing and when they prove they grabbed the right order, he walks away without apologizing. Recently a teenaged girl picked up an order with 3 drinks and one of them was made wrong, he continued to question the worker at the counter on whether or not it was made right. It was not offered to make it right, instead they had her leave without it getting fixed.

So... I always say, when the actual coffee is good, then it truly is a good coffee shop... However, not only was the coffee good, but the friendliness of service to people..Here's what my group got and what each person said about their drinks:Eggnog latte - wonderfulBlended white mocha - wonderful (but it is cold out right now)Coffee - it was good...I drank it all !Not much seating inside, but lots of seating outside, so as long as it's not raining, just dress warm for cold days... Anthony was very rude. We walked in and he did try and take our order right away, but then almost seemed bothered that we were taking so long to order ( no one else was there, so it’s not like we were holding up the line). After taking our drink orders he thought we were done and was gonna give us our total, so we asked if we could order some food and he was huffing and puffing saying, “well, ya, but if someone else comes in I have to take care of them.” Mind you, there’s only 2 things outside of bagels/muffins that you could order (I got avocado toast) and there was no one else in the building. He gives us our order in a timely matter we check everything and the avocado toast we got was missing cucumber, so I asked if he was out and all he said was, “ya.” Usually when there’s a certain ingredient out people let the guest know that, but no one is perfect it’s just the fact that his poor attitude was showing so much. He didn’t hold back at all. Won’t be going here again.The food and drinks we got were good.
