2.1 rating.The staff there is untrained and inexperience. 2nd time back. The first time went perfectly. They told me my dog (maltipoo) did fine. There was no problems. When I came back the lady wouldn't even see my dog. She claimed that he was being aggressive. She did not know what she was doing. She miss handled him failing to even put HER leash on him correctly then immediately started grabbing and pulling on him. He was confused. I'm actually glad I didn't leave him there.

After my wife and I completed our shopping for our pups, we walked over to the dog groomers to see if they had any openings for today. We waited patiently where two workers were finishing up their interaction with other customers. Once they were done, no one acknowledged us while the other one left advising that she was going on lunch. Granted our decision to ask about immediate openings were random, however the interactions between the two workers were extremely unprofessional. We ended up walking away and going somewhere else.

This was my dogs first visit so I knew it would take some time. It took 6 hours to get her groomed. This wasn't shared with me when making my appointment. The groomer was unqualified to be a groomer. Very friendly girl but her hair cut was horrible. I wish I could send you a before and after photo. Her hair is so choppy and uneven. She quite before doing her ears or cleaning up all the uneven cuts. I was so disappointed. We shop at Petco regularly but will not be returning to get my dog groomed. Very upsetting!

The previous times I got grooming done they charge me for the cut and some material fee. Comes out to 90 bucks. Today they added "brushing" charges and my total went from 90 to 140 last second with no good explanation. I will be going to local groomers from now on .

Celia did an amazing job! Sheba is a big, old girl and requires alot of patience. They got all of her undercoat out, trimmed her paws and at the end she was so happy. Celia updated me on the progress of my baby girl throughout the day. Which made me feel more relaxed about the whole process. If I lived in Elk Grove this would be my new spot for all my dogs!

I'm so happy with MJ our groomer. To be honest after my last experience at a different Petco I never thought I could trust you guys again, but MJ Changed all of that! She was so nice to me and amazing to my pups. She has great customer service skills and has a can do attitude. She understood exactly what we wanted and I was so impressed that she gave me an update call, that really put me at ease! The amount of care and detail she put into my babies , will never be forgotten. We have found our forever groomer!!!

My groomer was super friendly & my dog instantly loved her! My dog will NOT let me do her nails; but my groomer was able to do it quickly, and really, the best I've had it done in the past year! I will definitely be going back! ThetThe results were better & more economic than taking her to her vet.

Cecile is amazing. Our dog gets so happy to see her. He is wary of many people and clearly was not use to being groomed (we adopted him a few months ago) but she made him feel right at home and he is always happy to go.

Obviously the staff would over booked. The appointment was at 1:00, my dog was done at 7:00. She didn't get her ears appeared to be air dried, not blown dry. They looked oily. It was the worst haircut she has ever had.and that includes when I tried to cut her hair with a scissors. The poor dog had to pee so bad she was shaking when we got there and barely made it out the front door before relieving herself.

I had never taken a dog to be groomed and this was my Brody's first time as well. MJ was so patient with both me and Brody and explained everything and walked us through the process. I think her calm presence and authenticity rang true with Brody and calmed him. We've already booked our next appointment.

I've come to petco grooming for a few months, and my groomer, Kaitlin, always does an amazing job. She is so sweet and kind to both me and my pet. Other groomers who took my dog under their care are also amazing! I gave a 9 for the second question because the hours posted online is different from the store policies. Online, the store hours begin at 8 AM but grooming doesn't actually begin until 9 AM. So, I was waiting for someone to open the doors for me, which I feel like should be unlocked for people who are dropping off their pets for morning grooming sessions. Another reason I rated my last experience a 9 is because I called so many times for questions and clarifications, but no one answered. I even left a voicemail and no one got back to me either. One of the employees state that they have been getting calls nonstop, and there is only 1 call station. Petco grooming should get more funds to expand the space for a bigger lobby to accommodate more than 1 family and at least 2 service stations. This would benefit the grooming salon and customers more!

It was dirty came in lady grooming small white poodle kept nicking him he was crying. Hair all over not cleaning up between appts. I only had my dog washed, shampoo, blow-dry brush not shaved which I never would have there anyway. Should have left when I saw this. I will never return.
