As this is the only Market for miles, it is not to bad on pricing it grocery dry goods; however, I will never pay $2+ for a single Avocado. Had the split pea soup and it was okay. Nice place to get something to eat before going into Yosemite park.

Super helpful store clerk, told us about the Wi-Fi when we didn’t have cell phone reception, and there is a water bottle filling station with nice fresh fruit for sale.

Good place to buy food for breakfast or dinner. Have the basic stuff, such as milk, eggs, beer, meat, pasta etc. They also have sandwiches, grilled chicken and sallads to bring on your picnic in Yosemite. There is a gas station next to this market as well (very expensive).

El Portal Market is a wonderful grocery store on the California 140 with incredible mountain views across the way.

For a remote convenience store on the way to Yosemite, this store has a lot to offer. Hot food and icy drinks. You can put together a great picnic lunch for your day in Yosemite for a reasonable price. The people are nice and the store well stocked.

Very delicious organic coffee for the road into Yosemite national park. Lots of good food and snacks here.

Met expectations. Good selection of snacks, and some grocery products. I was surprised to find my favorite 0-calorie Sobe Life Water. Prices were reasonable, given the remoteness. Friendly staff.Only issue: The clerk used my visit to voice his displeasure with the State of California's tax and non-smoking laws.

Jeff is so charming and has a sharpe wit about him! Always look forward to talking with him! All the people that I have met there are great hard working people and so friendly! Todd Crookham

Love this place prices are high but quality and customer service is good...nice atmosphere...gas is located near. card only and expect a very expensive price no other gas except yosemite but that is if they sell you any..expect to pay 5 to 6 a gallon in the park.

Used to be great... then ownership changed. Now it's your typical convenience store with what used to grocery space now dedicated to tourist souveniers. Doesn't even carry decent ice cream. Plan ahead and do your shopping elsewhere.

Extremely friendly and courtesy staff. Expect to find the bare basics. Also keep in mind, this location has NO cell phone or wifi reception, so apple/samsung/google pay will not work. Be sure to have cash or card with you.

Some may travel to El Portal for the nearby national park, but I come for El Portal Market. The folks working the counters always have a smile on their faces even if you smell coming off the trail. You can pick up everything you may have forgotten to pack from a sleeping pad to water shoes. Best of all they take all too kindly to weary travelers using their wifi who are in dire need of a technological dopamine fix. So pack up your bags (don't forget to pack it out) and hit up that Yart bus to get you to El Portal Market. We'd shop there even if it wasn't the only market in the immediate area.

Good options in such a remote place. Specially for Indian vegetarians there are options of ready to eat meals. We had Matar Paneer, Rice & mix veg. They also provide complementary use of Microwave for quickly heating the meals. Store is managed by a very nice couple.

Since Aramark took over, this place is just really sad. Try your best to shop elsewhere. Mariposa has better options for grocery, gas prices and hot food. The company that just got ownership does not care about you as a consumer. El Portal is a really great community, very sad this Market is a failure. Again, buy your snacks and drinks elsewhere and skip this place. You'll be disappointed.

Yes, it's a small market. But it has pretty much everything you may need while you're staying near or in Yosemite.

I don't know if I did something disrespectful, but I was treated awfuly. Since it's the only shop here in Yosemite, I believe I had to live with it.

Since the food options are so limited around Yosemite, we stopped here to pick up sandwiches for lunch and taco fixin's for dinner back in our hotel room. Great selection for such a small store, and prices weren't too bad.

I guess this is the last stop before entering Yosemite national park. They have cheap grocery store products, deli and gas to fill up. Also clean restroom for customers.

Great store but there is this really rude cashier. He is old with white hair. He insults customers and makes prejudiced comments. I know atleast 10 locals that won't go there if he's working. Will give 5 stars once he's fired.

Nice market. Good food selection, everything you need there. Cheaper than in the yosemite valley.

Overpriced because it's the only place around to get groceries. We were rudely rushed out by a manager at 8:00 sharp - not 9:00 as this says. Avoid if possible.

Bus drivers: do NOT being your groups here. Place is not bus friendly at all. They waited for us to browse, pick and pay for our food before telling us to leave, because we "blocked their view."

the sprite here is in a clear bottle and it is completely nuclear. You don't need coffee if you have this sprite

A little over priced. 3 stars because I wish they had more than one size for the drinks. Beautiful view right outside the market!
