They're nice, they offer a lot of pet supplies - most notably for me prescription cat foods. Their prices are ok, and they're in a convenient location. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.

I love this place. I came and brought my lil guy to get his second vaccine. It was a bit hectic, as it usually is on vaccine days, and the staff really held it together. I appreciate their hard work in both helping our pets(kids) and giving good customer service. Thank you guys!

Been coming here for 21 years. It's still my favorite pet store.And I love being able to see a vet on Friday and Saturdays. They are very affordable, I tell Everyone to come here. They used to have a store in Oakland. Not sure if they still do, but the vet was there I believe Sunday and Monday.

Always love to come here to have low-cost vaccinations and checkups for my dog. The clinics are only available on Friday and Saturday. However, the wait times can be long since it is first come, first serve. The store has a variety of foods for all animals, even specialty ones.

We went here for vaccines. I arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday. I was seen within 20mins. It was very quick and efficient! Going earlier, though, can mean a longer wait.

The staff are often talking to each other, not paying attention to customers, and don't use the phrase "thank you." They also often don't help me bag my items, and I've spent up to 120$ at one time there. Its a mad house when the vet is there. Its really too bad they are the only store I've found that has my kitties specialty food.

Knowledgeable staff, long wait. Thank you for offering a low cost vaccine option. I really appreciate it.I got there at 10:15 on a Friday in the summer and got assigned a number in the 40s for vaccines. They told me I would probably get called around noon, and it was accurate. There were no parking spots in their lot in the morning, but there were plenty in the afternoon.If you live nearby I would recommend arriving without your pet in the morning to sign in and get a number and then returning with your pet later. It’s not obvious what to do when you arrive: walk up to the counter and fill out a form. Remember the number they give you and then come back when your number is called. They’ll announce it in the parking lot, but they won’t call your phone. If you miss your turn you’ll be the next in line any time before 3pm that same day. I got called at 12:15 and was done with two vaccines (the max you can get typically) by 12:45.The vet staff was knowledgeable and helped me we determine which were the best vaccines to do that day and how to space them out. The whole session involved some waiting: to figure out which vaccines, go get them, enter the paperwork, and pay. So be prepared if you have an anxious pet—in total we were in the store for 30 min.Note: they’re only doing 30 pet exams per day so get there early to secure a spot. They were seeing exam #12 around 12:30. As long as you do a weight check with them once a year, you can pick up prescription preventable meds for the store any day, not just on the clinic days.

They usually stick the urinary so food that my cat needs and is cheaper than chewy by a few dollars but at the price of the food over time a few dollars get you more cans. Specially since he has to eat it for the rest of his life. Which is hopefully really long since he is not even a year old

Poor customer service. Rude clerk said that if I didn't know how to administer fluids to my cat with kidney disease so why do I do it. This is after I complained about not being able to see the fluid line on the product. This is not my first pet with a kidney issue and I have administered fluids many times before. The product was defective and the clerks refused to acknowledge it. The other clerk said that he had never seen me buy this product there. Do they really think they remember everything you have purchased at their store???!!!

Fantastic service and great price. Took my pups in for the vet clinic on Saturday, and as soon as we walked in we were greeted and signed in. We waited a while but things moved along very quickly and the staff was great about keeping us up to date on our place in line, and it was fun to browse the store while we waited. The nurses are great at what they do - my pups didn't even wince when they got their shots. Super affordable and great care. Would go back for sure

I went to get my 9 week old puppy’s second DHLP-P shot and they told me I couldn’t, because it was too early. It had been 3 weeks and he was on schedule to get the next one. I explained that I was going out of town for 6 months and I needed to get them done earlier, because I have to board him. The receptionist asked the vet and told me that he “didn’t want to do it”, even though he knew my situation. I told the receptionist that I drove all the way from San Francisco, to get my dog’s shots and she said “aw that’s too bad”. Mind you, that puppies in animal shelters get their shots every 2 weeks, and 3 was definitely enough to get the next one. I have worked at the SF SPCA and 2 different veterinary hospitals, I am well versed in canine health care and I am extremely disappointed because the vet simply “didn’t want to do it”. Will never go back there again.

Nice prices and great variety for cats and dogs. Many very helpful staff. On Fri and sat they do very cheep shots and flea and deform for cats and dogs from 10 to 3 I played 17$ for my cats shots the wait was about 2 hours but I arrived after 10. Well worth the wait for saving $.

Great products excellent drop in that services. I've been a client and customer of PetVet since they opened. The vets are caring and so are the staff. Affordable exams and vaccines. They also do travel exams. Vet services are basic. Arrive early, get a number and wait for your turn. There are two sets of numbers..one for exams and one for immunizations. The Oakland location is accessible via bus 51A or bus 12. If you enjoy walking it's a downhill slope from Rockridge BART or a fairly flat walk from MacArthur BART. Bus 57 runs ip 40th from BART to Broadway then transfer to a 51A bus Close to The Ridge a ND Timeless Coffee. The El Cerrito/ Richmond location is a short walk from El Cerrito del Norte and is on the 72 bus line. Safeway and Denny's are nearby.

Long waits because its first come first serve basis but once you are called in it goes quick. Its way cheaper than any other place I know so it makes it worth it to wait. Plus, they have friendly employees and you get the enjoy watching all the cute puppies that come in for the clinic visits😊

The best! Staff know their products AND pets. Great selection of curated foods and treats at really good prices. Also nice selection of toys and equipment. Bonus:. Veterinary services are offered (specific times), meaning "sold only thru your vet" products are always available for purchase at your convenience! It's my "go-to" dog store, I love it!!

A great locally owned pet shop with a little bit of everything. Most people come here for the affordable vet visits for dogs and cats on Fridays and Saturdays. Staff is attentive, reliable, and friendly.
