I took my favorite 5y.o Furr baby PRINCESS" my 5year old Malshi'to get groomed for the 1st time here at PETCO! All of the staff were very nice & eager to assist & answer all my q&a..** Helpful tip 2 remember **Had I known beforehand that my 2:15pm appt wasn't gonna be completed until approx. 7;25pm,It was on a Saturday, so I should've known.Now that I know it can take 3-4 hours, depending on appointments & it probably didnt help that it was scheduled on a Sat/ weekend.Now I know how to plan better for next time! Lol 😆Otherwise, it went very well, and I did notice the patience each of the lady groomers all had while dealing with back to back appts. During the timeframe i was there!

Went to look for items for a friend's dog. I'm not a pet owner and haven't been in a pet store in decades. Wow...they have salon quality hair care products for dogs nowadays. There's even doggie multivitamins.I even saw "human grade" snacks.(yes, I was tempted to try it)There's even pet DNA kits.I need to come back just out of curiosity to see what else is in here.

Super super helpful employees! Josh was outstanding, he even helped carry my bags of dog food to my car, without even asking, he was one step ahead of me and very friendly! Definitely my go too pet store for everything! Thank you Josh!!! 💯💯💯

I went to this Petco today which I have been purchased for 3 years.This time I just purchased one item which is a dog food. After paid, I realized the charge is slightly higher than it should be. So I checked with the cashier staff. Unfortunately she’s not very friendly nor nice. Just told me it’s what it is. I asked why my item is $16.99 and tax is 10.25% but I need pay $2.46 for tax. She could not explain at all. Then asked me to call the customer service number. Ok fine.. I called and then they said I need to talk to the store because it’s a in-store purchase. It’s crazy. Both parties tried to get away from this.At the end, I found out by myself that this item was $23.99 and now discount to $16.99 but it’s taxed based on original price. This is the first time I have had this happened. Taxable on an original price for discounted item???? I checked with the cashier again, this time it was another lady talking to me and said “ yeah this is how our system works.” Then I showed her my previous order from online and asked why those taxed on after discounted price? They said our computer works like this and if you want, you can return now and purchase online again. This is insane. Your system has problem but you are not going to fix it. Instead you ask a customer to return and buy online again. Sorry… I think I’m not gonna go to Petco again. I have no idea how this store does their business.People pls be aware of this store. Just awful awful services.Today we went to buy a bird for our daughter and our Son And we got attended by (evelyn )one of the managers, She started screaming up at my son for touching the glass cage.We had to speak with with the upper management, keep in mind my son has autism , that type of behavior Towards a kid with special needs is just disgusting. When we were speaking with upper management, she decided to all of a sudden go to lunch, I hope Upper management. Speak to her about her behavior.

My 90lb Rottie pup needed his nails trimmed and when I made a stop in the store for one thing, I realized they had the spa. I walked up and was able to schedule an appointment for my pup 2 hours later, on our way back from the dog park.When we arrived, we were taken on time and with care. Great experience with the groomer and staff.

They need to finish remodeling and getting the store back together. Other than that staff was friendly. Didn't have many choices in Hamster grass isle kind of annoyed by that.

Went to buy products- store was clean but had boxes in the middle of the aisle which made it hard to get to what I was trying to buy. And I purchased a product that I was able to find cheaper (by almost 50%) and in a larger quantity (3 vs 2 refills) on Amazon. I returned what I bought to your store; I felt I was being priced gauged.

Robert and Kelly went out of there to help me get my 2 new pugs everything they needed. They are very friendly and polite. They make it a joy to shop at Petco. It would be nice if u had more styles of smaller dog harnesses.

Vanessa in grooming is Fabulous. She is incredibly talented in the grooming area, she listens to what the client needs and wants, is caring, attentive, and obviously loves dogs!!! My friend has had various dog groomers at El Cerrito Petco and always have been super pleased with the results!

It’s a PetCo. They have a huge selection of pet supplies, plus dog grooming.I don’t go in for anything much besides fish and fish stuff. They’re usually out of things I’m looking for, like beneficial bacteria for my fish pond.They’re short-staffed, so go easy on those folks who work too hard for us and don’t get paid enough.Bathrooms are not available to customers.Plenty of parking.If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

I called and asked them to please pull something off the shelf since they were about to close, so I don’t hold them up and they told me they could not since there were only two people there working. When I arrived and they wouldn’t let me in, I saw more than two people working!!! Not willing to help in an urgent and unexpected situation because of 1 minute. I tried to make it easy and pain free on their part and they had zero cares.Why lie? Why not save time to actually help a fellow human out which is actually helping the animal?!? A little compassion would have gone a really long way!!! I tried my best to help them help me and they failed miserably. I pleaded with the person at the door who had JUST closed it to please let me grab the thing I knew exactly where it was. The person claimed they had been closed for a whole 2 minutes and I had zero chance...then said “have a good night” with a super snarky rude tone. Ugh! I’m very sorry to my fur babies that I wasn’t able to help them due to rude humans.

First time I ordered online from Petco and I'm surprise how fast and easy it was. Realized in the afternoon that I needed more dog food. Went online to Petco and could choose on several products that I needed. After an hour I was there to pick it up! Quick, easy and fast service with a super friendly staff!

The store is not what it used to be when it first opened. It used to be bright and airy with lots of pets inside and a large selection of fish to buy. Now it's dimly lit, Crowded feeling and with a very small selection of pets and even smaller selection of fish. The fish didn't seem very well taken care of as there were quite a few dead fish.

We have used the pet grooming service for our dog at this Petco at least 4 times now. She’s always treated so well and the groomers do an excellent job, especially Mahoganie who is always so friendly and helpful and kind to our puppy. I highly recommend this Petco.

My Petco grooming appointment had been scheduled for over a month. They called the morning of the appointment to say that they couldn’t do a full groom because the appointment was at 5p.m. If this was the case, they should have notified me much sooner! I had to cancel a flight to accommodate their poor planning and disorganization! Pissed!
