I haven't been inside a JCPenney store in years until recently at this location. The store itself is a relic from the early 90's but they did have a decent selection of Adidas and Puma. The prices were really good actually for both brands.

Pretty good stuff here too bad some women staff that work on the weekends are rude and don’t expect to to change in dressing rooms in peace with out them banging on your door every 3-5 minutes

Everything was perfect until we checked out. All the employees were nice and offering to help out, but the cashier was extremely rude. It’s fine if you don’t want to be there, but don’t take it out on the customers. Really ruined our day.

I had such a good experience today with this lovely lady in the upstairs department. Her name is Mariana. & my husband and I were looking for some last minute things we needed. she was beyond helpful. & even when she knew the store didn’t have many options of what we needed she checked the availability of it everywhere she could. Gave us options. She went out of her way for us and we’re very grateful for her! She is awesome!

I like this store but is impossible to shop comfortable with the severe humidity, I'm asthmatic and had to sit at shoe area and use inhaler do to intense humidity which affects even healthy people, this location is in the desert El Centro Ca so must have central air conditioner, supposedly JCPenney is a multimillion company, why not invest on great ventilation for customers and workers.

Their men's department looked awful. Changed so much...for the worse in my opinion. No dress shirts, no real displays of sport coats or suit separates, no B/T wear...very poor selection. Very disappointed in their men's department. Ended up at Dillards....pricier but selections!

Good sales. Good quality. Lots of items not priced and confusing. Lousy customer service. No fault of the employee, just way understaffed. Took me 15 minutes to get the price of an item. Big box weighed over 30 lbs carrying it all over the store. Not like the JCPenny of before.

It’s very disturbing and disgusting to see how supervisors treat other employees! I observed an employee today give her very best to a customer! She spent a good 20 mins helping an older gentleman to find the perfect outfit for his wife. Then she was at the cash register helping more customers going above and beyond and for two insignificant mistakes she made her coworker told two supervisors and made her feel so bad!! I was so disgusted on how they treated her that I left!! No one should ever get treated that way! Imagine how they treated their customers! You supervisors should be ashamed of yourselves!! Never returning to this JCPenney! I’m so sorry Mia you were treated that way!

This review is for the JCP Salon; specifically for Sally. She is awesome! She really takes her time and makes sure that you get exactly what you want. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I am extremely picky because I have naturally curly hair and am always hesitant going to a new stylist. She has cut, colored and treated my hair and every time I have been extremely pleased. Ask for Sally, trust me you will not be disappointed!

My mom always start to shop in the plaza entering this place, wich it's sometimes annoying because she spends so much time in there 😂but when I actually need clothes I actually find them pretty easelly and ones that perfectly fit! Great great grrreat store to buy clothes

Penny's, please clean up your store. The dressing rooms are falling apart with pealing wallpaper, ugly dirty carpet and where is the seating for people waiting at the fitting rooms. Really very sad, the service is excellent but please show pride in your stores.

The store closed at 7 and we were at the register by 7:05. We asked nicely if she could open the front door because my grandma has a heart condition and we parked the car by that main entrance the lady was super rude when we asked nicely. Customer service is not a priority at this location.

Clean your front doors 🤦 hand prints everywhere looks dirty considering there's illnesses going around. Windex isn't that expensive

Paid for a watch. Cerk didn't remove the plastic start stop piece on watch. Got home and tried to remove piece. Could not remove returned to store clerk broke watch in attempt. Store did not have same watch that my wife wanted for her Birthday. A complete waste of a Sunday. J C Penny is about 15 miles from my house 1 way. I will not shop there again.

Sooo unorganized. Unbelievable wait time to check out. No other registers were open. I was 12th in line. That's right 12th!!!! Need to open more registers!! Nothing in stock and what was in stock was thrown in random piles back on shelf or opened/torn up packaging. JC PENNY has gone downhill. Won't be back unless I'm desperate.

Sephora did my makeup & Vanity knocked it out of the park!!!! 😍I would not hesitate to go there again - the only thing that needs improvement is that someone needs to be taking care of customers who rudely interrupt the ladies who are obviously busy & their customers are obviously on a time schedule for events, which is why they are getting their makeup done!! Having someone stay near in that area would take that burden off & only makes sense. Instead, I watched both ladies have to stop what they were doing & look around for others to help & to only have to give up & answer the questions as quickly as possible so they could get back to the makeup. Whoever is the one in charge of scheduling needs to realize that Friday & Saturdays are just going to be busy & adding in makeup appointments are excellent for business, but not when it makes ladies late!! If you see appointments, then put extra floor help!! Women are naturally curious when they see the makeup being done & want to ask questions....soooo, have someone available to help them & you will get more sales all around - but of course, that's just my opinion 😉Give Vanity a raise though because she is definitely a keeper 😍
