I love it, getting my cat's neutered for 5 bucks was amazing. And I'm getting my female spayed for the same price. These people are super nice, caring and considerate. I'm glad I took my cat's here!!!.

You need to let the people know where there dogs were sent and who got them , because something fishy is going on and the owners have been. Informed to get a lawyer and pursue a lawsuit and possibly charges , from all the information you did not do the process correctly, dogs get out you can't just take them and adopt them out when they clearly belong to a loving family!

We came here to put cash down to hold an appointment for our pet to get neutered in a few weeks. The parking lot was small, as was the site. No problem! The administration building was separate from the kennel, which we didn't visit. The administration building was small but cozy with friendly and understanding staff members. Hats off to all humane society workers for doing the work they do!

Found our forever friend. There are lots of flurry friends to pick from. I love dogs, but because I am working from home I wanted a friend who would not be barking while I was in the phone. I found this beautiful bunny ♡ It took a while for me to bring him home because he needed to be neutered. Staff is super friendly and keeps you up-to-date with adoption status. Go and check your local shelter.

Staff is great. What they're doing with the resources they have is great.Location sucks, definitely need a better location (larger obviously would be helpful)

Took in our female chihuahua to be spayed. We lucked out and was able to get her in within a week. It cost us $20. There really is no excuses to not spay and neuter pets, it takes about the same amount of time to go to the store to buy milk or cigarettes.

Adopted a cat a couple months ago, and she’s adjusted super well with traveling and everything. She’s such a lovable cat and I’m glad I was able to adopt her.

I went to a couple of of shelters in San Diego and I couldn’t just find the kitty I was looking for. I remember that many years ago a coworker told me that she didn’t like this shelter at all, so I was a bit skeptical.I came in and was greeted with a super positive attitude, and even though I didn’t have an appointment, they let me take a quick look at the kitties and showed me some beautiful cats that matched what I was looking for.Long story short, I fell for this beautiful domestic long haired and I just had to take him home. The process was very simple but they do like to make sure that you are taking the pets to a good home where it is allowed to have pets.Everyone was super friendly and they care a lot for the animals in the shelter. Honestly, it is not a fancy shelter like the SD ones where every dog has his/her own room, but taking into consideration that they pretty much survive on donations, they are doing a great job, so please consider donating to this shelter. I definitely will!Thank you ICHS! <3

Wanted to edit after a reply was posted- yes I am sure it was your shelter. I grew up in the valley & only know of the HSOIC & Dee’s, both of which I had volunteered at occasionally. I even still have emails from when I took one of the kittens to the vet 2 days after picking him up because he had a respiratory infection. My heart breaks for the staff here and their constant struggle. I try to help when I can financially with donations which isn’t very often but I know It’s appreciated when I do. I will mention, if you ever plan on fostering or helping out, make sure you can commit to it. I tried to foster some kittens one time and after a couple of days I was just so sick from being allergic to them that I had to take them back, & they weren’t very nice about it. (I didn’t know I was severely allergic, we never had cats so I was never around them long). One of the Facebook moms that apparently donate & try to help, Anna I believe her name was, last name started with a D… jumped down my throat too, & sent me numerous pages of paragraphs on Facebook essentially calling me a POS for taking them back & not fostering & giving me alternative options I could’ve and should’ve done instead of taking them back.

Love how much they care about furbabies. Their Spay/Neuter services are highly recommended! They do such a great job taking care of all the animals. This shelter deserves more credit than what it actually gets, and their staff is friendly, respectful and phenomenal at what they do! They offer low-cost Vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, Microchips. Their clinics are the best in the Valley. Please donate if you can! You'll be helping all the animals in their care. Thank you for all your hard work!!🐈🐾🐕💕

This place has great people, they are warm and welcoming, the adoption process is really easy and simple. The one thing that takes more time is, getting an appointment to finally see your future pet "member of the family". That being said, this place has their hands full, all the time, the people and volunteers are hard workers, the animals are in such a great care. Over all, my experience with Humane Society of Imperial County was more than great. People should look to adopt and most importantly "always care for your animals".

They, have more pets than capacity, were good about helping me find my lost dog, good people, heart is in the right place. Please help with donations, adoption or time, they really need it. The stars don't come close to the peace i received from talking to them.

We drove from 2.5 hours away and had a great experience. Friendly, kind, caring staff. We ended up with the greatest family dog. They called us the next day to follow up and make sure we had no questions or concerns. Thank you! Recommended this place to all my friends who are looking for a new family member.

This was my first visit to the facility and you can see instantly how much they love and care for the animals. The lady who takes the calls is super nice and the young helper was very kind. I can see how the seriousness of the other employees can be misconstrued for not so great customer service however, they were not rude and were helpful. Takes a special crew to do this work, thank you!

I love how the animals are cared for. My fur babies are family so I really appreciate the kind and loving treatment. I wish I knew great homes for all the animals there, adopt thoughtfully. Remember, they might not be with you for all of your life; but you will be for theirs.

Their low cost spay and neuter program through Mexicali is the best. Easy communication and instructions. Spay and neuter incisions were very small and recovery was fast. Highly recommend! Plus it’s only $55!!

I appreciate what adoption shelters do for the community and i am all for it however ive gone to the Humane Society a varíety of times and have had really bad customer service. Their customer service Is what led me to not end up adopting and I ended up going somewhere else. I would loved to adopt from them, but theyre not the nicest. They arent enthusiastic either. Ive gotten plenty of my pets microchipped there, but i had enough of the customer service the last time i went. They tríed to convince me the dog i got from another place wasnt the breed they told me it was. I know what my dogs breed is, ive taken him to vets, training camps ive seen the mom and dad of the pup. Also, professionals have never told me otherwise. Even people no the street know right away. So it was really inconvenient to have someone try tell me otherwise while getting a service. My buisiness wasnt for them to tell me otherwise. All I’m saying its about helping fur babies find a home, do not let bad attitudes ruin it. If youre going my advice Is dont expect customer service, but if you find your doggy, adopt! Thank you.

They have dedicated employees and take excellent care of the shelter animals and trying to keep the place open since they operate on donations.. Since 2013 I have adopted 7 dogs from them, fostering 2 first. They pay for a lot of medical emergencies of animals brought to them by city animal control. Donate to them!

The director of this shelter is an amazing person that works tirelessly to help animals AND their owners in a low-income area. This shelter and it's director are literal heros. Thank you for everything that you do!!

Extremely rude staff member !!! I went in wanting to adopt a dog but due to the poor customer service I decided to go elsewhere. You can’t expect for people to adopt these pets if you are giving attitude from the beginning. When someone walks in the door, greet them, communicate PROPERLY and don’t yell like a ghetto person.

This place is absolutely amazing to adopt kittens and puppies that are in need for a home! My aunt just recently adopted a kitten there and we absolutely adore him!I was wondering if volunteering is open there? My family is thinking about adopting a cat and I need to get used to it so I can be more open with other animals since I am terribly afraid of dogs and cats around me ^^”

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Our dog got out today and they went to pick him up. Picking him up was so easy and we were able to get him microchipped. We will be returning to microchip our other dogs.
