Be careful! The cashiers here will charge you for extra items you didn’t buy. Check every item on your receipt and make sure you actually put it in your shopping bag! I spoke to a manager and they said they need 24 hours to pull up my receipt and they will give me call. They never did.I called them today about my receipt and asked for manager, it was a rude new “manager” old lady on the phone telling me “what are you talking about?” In the most angry rude tone. Not sure why these people are in customer service. Avoid this location!

Great selection most of the time. Some shelves are bare but the shelves are so long and tall it doesn't really matter the few empty spots. They even have a clearance section on the far end of registers next to managers office. I have heard some people be real mean though to the customers. Sure, you have a stream of "riff raff" but look at the area that you serve. It's just going to be that way. A lady cashier said "This isn't a dollar" to a very elderluly man who replied "I know I'm getting the rest of the change to make a dollar". Don't rush people. Who cares if the line looks at you with unrest. You're paid the same. If you don't like the job please give one to me I've been searching and despite everyone saying they're hiring they're really not.

Today 6/1/2023 at exactly 9:45 pm. There was only a cashier old white man who cursed every one in the store because only 15 mints left to close. Unfortunately I was with my two lil sons who heard him going lunatic and caused them trauma, if this every sticks with em I would sue the entire shop. Thanks for scaring kids.

Helllo am here just to give my opinion on this store that is the worst store to buy from anything me and my friends walked inside and the cashier yold us get out of the store we did nothing wrong the only reason she has is because am under 18 so what? Under 18 you can not buy anything its not a bar or a Liquor store or smoke shop ut only has food I don't think food will kill anyone under 18 right guys please avoid buying food from this store it is very rude store to the coustmers try to avoid anytime buying from it thanks for reading🥀

This store is a trip. The guys that work there are kool. But I have had 2 incidents with 2 women. Like the WORST service ever. I should have called after first one.She was rude to lady in front of me and i bought some glasses. Some were really chipped on the floor. I looked carefully at the little ones, but the big ones i didn't....When I get to checkout I noticed one was chipped.... I run and grab another. As she is bagging them (mind u I am being super nice cuz she was fighting with he one before me the she "always has an attitude" that I never heard except from the cashier). I honestly questioned if she hears things - she was so weird.... but she said now this is 2 glasses u broke and the store has to pay for. SERIOUSLY???? I told her to trash the 2nd broken one and didn't get another. I was so upset and offended I left my debit card. She was horrible.Then today I paid with cash, had 2 bundles of cash and pulled all the smaller bills... gave her a 5 and put all my singles together... and put 5 singles on the countertop. She was SOOOO MAD. Snarled at me thru her mask. Huffing and puffing with anger. Straight seething at me. I left almost laughing... like what the *%$# made her so mad?? Was I disrespectful??? No.... idk. I am just glad i don't live by that store any longer or I would be going in to have a serious talk with management. Other stores are not like that with cashiers mad at ur purchases while talking openly about being homeless. Kudos to you.... but dont take your problems out on the customers.If not for the kind guy for months I would give it 1 star.Horrible service. Not clean store. And SMALL. Small selection.Those women need to treat their customers better...

This place thinks you are trash and your time is worth nothing. 25 people in line at 5pm and 1 employee. You will always wait about 20 minutes in line and the managers absolutely do not care, it saves them money making you wait. Too bad they don't notice the tens of customers a minute walking out the door when they see the line. It's been like this for atleast 8 years when I moved here, it will never change. They do not care.

Visiting a friend in the area, I stopped in to 'last min shop'.Surprised, the store was actually not that messy considering it being Christmas Eve. Definitely not perfect. Often these stores have shoppers who are rude. From the people trying to squeeze down the aisles saying, 'pardon me' to the ones helping others they didn't know dig to find red bags and tissue paper just being human and caring. Then to top it off (believe name was) Sharlene at the check out so warm and full of smiles. She cared and sincere not work fake. Sometimes people and stores surprise you in a good way. Wish I saw that everyday in every store. Not to be rude but it was the people not necessarily the store 100%

Easy to spot from the Main Street. Right between good will and the grocery outlet. Lines are always long. I think their employees could use more cash register training or a refresher or something. It’s pretty Clean and they have good parking. And a couple of the older brunette ladies could use some customer service skills.

I bought snacks I went for crafts for a 5 yr old. This location didn't have the great craft section as Fletcher Pkwy or Lakeside. Today this location was newly stocked. I found everything I needed. It was a quick trip for sponges but I spent $10 on various scrubbing supplies.

Ray the cashier discriminates colored people. I had a African American man infront of me ask Eay “hello how are you” ray said nothing. The male then told Ray have a good day, Ray said nothing. Then when Ray the money he made sure to keep his distance and not touch the man’s hand. Ray is verrrrrryy slow as well, he barely knows how to swipe items and it holds the line up and you end up having to wait a longgggg line for his slowness. Once I got to the Register than Ray tried to make conversation but since he completely ignored the man infront of me, I ignored Ray as well. Treat other how you want to be treated!! DO BETTER RAY

My sister in law was tryna waste some time and she decided to go into dollar tree to look around she totally forgot to bring a mask into the store and the manger was so rude my sister in law asked for a mask because she didn’t have one on her and the Manager was so rude she told her she couldn’t buy anything from the store and Tyne she said that she could walk around the store without a mask but not buy anything then she said I don’t have time to disenfect everywhere you go you need to leave. I will never come here again my sister law was treated so badly by JC the assistant manager me and my family have shopped here for years. and I can not believe the attitude that she gave my sister in law, this is unbelievable!!!

Shopping was great but you can't take the cart out of store. I get why, homeless bothering, but I had lots of heavy stuff. Had to make several trips to my car. The store should offer assistance especially for us handicapped.

This place is definitely backwards from all the other Dollar trees that I've been in. Other than that it was okay once I found the orientation to the store it was pretty simple to find my way around. It did seem a bit smaller than any other Dollar tree maybe it's just a weird location and that's why I so tiny.

Apparently they ran out of bags but failed to put up any signs notifying consumers. So when I ask for a bag she says we don't have any. Hmmm. Ok. Wouldn't be so bad if this checker wasn't regularly rude and cold. No smiles no cheer. Nothing. Can you please put happy people or people that actually smile on the register?

Horrible employeesWe were checking a ball to see if it was bouncy and what we thought to be an employee at the time, came up and accused us of trying to steal it and that we were just playing and to go to our parents, afterwards we were in the glasses and hats isle and my brother and I were trying out glasses because it was sunny, and we were thinking about buying them, and the same "employee" comes up and says that we were just playing around, and to find our parents and get out of the store. And when we went to our grandma, she came over and said (VERY RUDELY) that we were playing and steeling. Then after lectured our grandma about watching us better. She then proceeded to tell us to check out and leave "before she called the cops on us" before we were we were even done shopping. Afterwards we learned that it was actually the manager. Treating customers like this is absolutely unacceptable and extremely stupid if you have any hopes of keeping your customers and business coming. She got nowhere with these actions and she is only representing her own store in a negative way.

Let me start by saying... "I LOVE Dollar Tree." This particular store however has difficulties with organization, execution and service. Being New to El Cajon, frequent this location often. Overwhelmingly, it is cluttered, dingy, cramped and has an unpleasant odor. Whats worse is, while waiting to check out, I overheard the Store Manager make racially disparaging remarks to the customer ahead of me, about middle eastern people. Stating ".....they come over here and get more Than We do!" These comments belong at a Donald Trump Rally; not in the workplace.On the positive side, I am more than happy with the check out process. Yes... It may be a little slow, but EACH employee (including the Store Manager) has been cheerful, friendly and polite. I compare this location to others i have regularly visited; (point loma, grossmont center, & Aero Drive) El Cajon ranks last.

If you are shopping on a budget this is a good place to start. We went here for a gift bag, paper and bows. If you look around you will be impressed on some of the products. They do have some name brand products but you just have to look.

This store was amazing the sweet lady help me with 20 balloons that I needed for a friend on her birthday & knowing that she had alot of people coming in & being super busy she managed to get a new helium tank,connect it & inflate the 20 balloons that I needed & im sooo grateful for the experience because in this world we all know someone else would've told me to go to another store cause they didn't have air in the tank but she didn't! So this shout out goes to Sylvia K. Thank you so much for being the sweetest associate there & helping me with the 20 balloons!❤
