My Aussie maple absolutely loved going to camp run a mutt and we’ve always had a great experience until she came home with an obvious puncture wound and my fiance had gotten no info other than she got scratched. When i called and spoke to someone the lady assured me there wasn’t a scuffle that they saw. I’m sorry but working in a vet office for 5 years i know a bite wound when i see one. I feel as if it was handled very poorly for the amount that we pay to bring our dog there. Sadly we won’t be returning.

I love using Camp Run-A-Mutt for daycare! My dog is always insanely happy when we arrive, and he is treated well by kind, friendly employees. I trust the staff here and know they are caring for my dog and ensuring he has the best experience in a fun, safe environment. Camp Run-A-Mutt's outdoor space means I have to worry less about potential illnesses; at a different facility in El Cajon, the dogs spent too much time in a cold, indoor space where they could get sick easier. Camp Run-A-Mutt is clean and my dog has never had an issue here. I highly recommend this location.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Amazing! I was referred by a neighbor and have been coming ever since for about a year now...on average about once/week to let my energetic husky get some quality exercise and play time with his fellow dog friends. I have also had my pup stay a couple different times for overnight stays. The quality interaction with the staff and dogs there is genuine, gentle and so very appreciated. I also love that they do initial personality testing to make sure the incoming camp members will get along with the other pooches. This creates a much calmer and happier environment for your furry family member. Highly recommend!

We started taking our puppy Otis here so he could socialize with other dogs and not be board while we were working all day from home! I’m so glad we did!!! Molly, Mike, and all the staff are AMAZING! They treat our pup well, and love the hell out of him! Recently they had a foster come in that I fell in love with so I adopted him! They were amazing throughout the entire process! My boys love going to camp and I love knowing they are well cared for and will be exhausted when they get home! This place is the best around!!!

I made an appointment to see if I could board my dog two weeks in advance. I was given misinformation on the phone. Since I was traveling, the gal said they would wave a 48 hour wait period. As I was waiting at the gate to be helped, a worker walked by with a dog on a leash that snapped an lunged at my dog, who stood wagging his tail. I took him Wags Pet Hotel which was the same kennel free environment, where I was respectfully given correct information. My dog was accepted right then and I could watch him on Pet Cam for the duration of his stay. He was with dogs his size and energy level and cared for professionally.

We had two dogs boarding with this branch during holiday of 2021. Grateful that they had slots while the other run-a-mutt close to us didn’t. We tried the web camera during our travel, but it’s hard to observe with the quality and location of the cameras. Staffs seem to cluster together, based on our limited observations. Upon picking up, one of them had cracked/dry nose while the other hung his tail really low for two days. Overall, we wish our dogs had better experiences than they appeared to have.

My two little dogs absolutely loved their stay! From the time of exploring the place to decide on the choice to the time of picking them up, Camp Run A Mutt staff is awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, certified, experienced, and readily available to answer any questions! We got a free day camp day for the dogs to test their temperament and if the place was right. No big dogs bothered them, they got to play with the other dogs, sleep and socialize with the other dogs. It truly was a camp!They didn't want to come home! And now when we leave through the front door or they hear the car unlocking, they cry for us to take them on a drive, most likely to Camp! Thank you for a safe, clean, fun place for our dogs!! We will be back soon!

We've brought our dog Timber here for several years now, and are still blown away at the level of service that they continuously provide. All we have to do is say the word "camp" and he jumps like a kangaroo and heads for the door. He has a great time playing with the other doggos, and their prices for grooming cannot be beat. I have always felt completely assured that he was in safe hands and that they would take very good care of him. They treat him like family. I would highly recommend them for any boarding, daycare or grooming need.

The best doggy daycare in San Diego! We've been taking our dog here for nearly a year now and the place goes above and beyond to take care of the dogs. The owners and staff obviously love dogs before everything. The open play area is huge with grass, rocks, and a pond. Shaded areas and places to hide and climb. Misters for when it's hot or an indoor area if needed. They do overnight stays where staff members will sleepover with the dogs like a for real sleepover. I've even needed to board my dog for a long stay of almost a month and they were able to accommodate since Frank, my dog, is a regular. They even sent us some pictures of him having a blast at camp (attached) and a report card! And don't forget about the live camera feed so you can check up on your dog. Basically, if you're a crazy dog person and you want your dog to have the best daycare experience, go here. It's worth it.

I've been taking my dog here for more than a year and a half. Everything all the comments say about these being dog people is true. Every employee I have met has been so kind and seems to really care about my dog. My dog is a rescue with separation anxiety and it is such a relief to be able to take her someplace where I am confident that she is safe and being cared for while I'm at work. The rates are fair and you can get a good discount if you buy days in a bundle. They also have grooming on site and a vet that comes by to give shots. This is by far the best daycare/boarding facility.

We take our dog to camp when ever we go out of town or have a busy schedule. The staff is well trained and keep an eye on your pet...they have a little pond and our dog loves it. She enjoys cooling off and then playing with the other dogs. We watch her on the cameras and sometimes it's as if she knows when we're watching. The ownership is very nice and very attentive. This is a great place to have her watched when we need it. It's hard to trust someone with your pet, it's like leaving your child, you want to feel confident that they're in good hands...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I was referred by one of my friends that takes her dogs there. I have a rescue that lived her entire life on the streets. She didn't become mine until she was 7 months old. She was interesting and fearful of people . And came with some medical issues. so it was hard to socialize her when I first got her. I told them my concerns about her. And after talking with them I knew I was in the right place and so was she. By her third visit I could tell she had played and relaxed around the staff and the other dogs. I love that I can watch her on camera and see how she's doing. It has helped her so much in finding her own confidence. I bought a package deal so she'll be going once a week for the next 5 months. Probably more when her five months is up.😊

This is positively the best boarding facility. The owners Mike and Molly are gracious to humans and very savvy with dogs of all breeds. I've always felt very welcome here and they always remember my dogs' names and their preferences. Cage-free boarding is the best experience because your dog will feel most like they are right at home. And an added bonus is they come back exhausted and happy.

Took my Daisy girl in for temperament test. Desk staff, especially Chloe, are terrific. Daisy passed, so I left her there for a couple hours. I could see her on the cameras, and she seemed happy. When I picked her up, staff member "Mike" made it a point to come out and talk with me and tell me that she did great. This is a GREAT place.Several months with 10+ day camps and 2 multi-day boardings later, my Daisy gets excited when we pull up in the driveway. She is ALWAYS happy to get out of the car and go in. Can't say enough about what a great place this is.

I once overheard Mike being incredibly disrespectful to his employees. He should not be working there if that’s how he treats his staff, he creates a bad work environment and as a customer it makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable because the rest of the employees are excellent.

I've just been here for nail clipping for my dog so this review is based solely on that. The staff is very friendly, especially Chloe who always seems to get along with my dog really well. She's very good with my dog and always does a good job of clipping my dogs nails.I highly recommend getting you dog's nails clipped by Chloe cause she seems really good with dogs.I'm always in and out and the price is just right. There hasn't been a reason for me to quit bring my dog here to get her nails clipped.

Everytime I walk up to drop off my dog, the staff always remember her name no matter how long it's been since our last visit. They provide a safe, fun, and loving environment for my dog to play while we go about running errands. Great place to bring your pup.

My dog is a husky. He sheds. When I got him home he didn't shed quite so much. They must have brushed him a lot He seemed happy in the muttcams but he did have a little injury in his side but it's not life threatening and I missed him

We bring our dogs Milo and Dakota to play during the day and tried the grooming for the first time day. BOMB !!!! Chloe did an amazing job deshedding our huskies !!!! Our dogs love this place and come home exhausted. So glad we did the grooming- this will be our spot now !!!

They really treat the customers well, including my pet. They have very friendly service everytime I've been there.I asked them to trim him a bit more, and they did upon my request. I also asked them to check for a sticker, or whatever it was that was irritating his paw. And they found a fox tail along with a wart...They wrote this down for me, too.The only issue I have is that I need to remind them each time what I need done for my pet. If I don't, then he gets bathed with shampoo that's allergenic, instead of non-allergen shampoo. They claim to remember your pets needs, instead of having it logged into the computer, or have some kind of filling system for each pet.An apology would of been helpful, too.

Been here twice to pick up the dog owned by the people I live with. They seem friendly and the came back a happy camper. They seem to monitor and really know what's going on at all times and take care of the dogs. Nice place, seems shifty from the outside but don't be alarmed

I don't think I ever will use a different boarding place than Camp run a mutt in East county. Whenever I walk in, they greet my dog...." Oh look everyone it's "Honey". I could care less at that point whether they remembered me. This is a class place with fun for Fido and a very loving and caring staff.

Best place for your pup young or old. My border collie puppy 6mo. came home after spending 9 days there HEALTHY and happy. We will be back for sure. Never doing kennel thing again. Only this place.
