This place always Takes a long time to take your order. They move really slow and they don't care If there's ten people in line it's almost like they're doing it on purpose.And then I went in and got a 3 piece meal for 1099, and they triedtried to tell me that this is a 3 piece meal that theres 3 pieces at Chicken on my plate and they argue with me about it.

Mexican and Latin American themed grocery store selling a variety of groceries, alchohol, warm food, and meat/seafood. Pleasant experience if you need something fast. Prices are fair, customer service is fast, and the store is well put together. Details will follow:[Groceries]They have pretty much everything here if it can be found in Mexico or elsewhere. They have a large grocery section, they have a deli with hot food in tubs that looks great, they have beer, and they have a cheese, meat, and seafood section! Everything is written in English and Spanish, which is a plus! The store could be organized and faced (pushing all products to the front) better, but otherwise a great store.[Location]Located in a large complex next to Target and Ikea. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Safe area. Easily accessible from Highway 1.[Customer Service]Customer service was efficient. Everyone spoke Spanish and English which is great for helping everyone! . Super helpful staff!

Went in to purchase hot food from their counter there were about 4 ladies running around and a gentleman sweeping behind the counter, but only one lady helping costumers. She was obviously rushed and felt like I was inconvenienceing her with my large order. She kept walking away before I could ask her for my next item. It was lunch time and most of their staff cut in front of customers to place their order luckily I was already paying but I would have been upset if it would of happened to me. Good food meh experience.

My family and I have lived in East Palo Alto for a very long time. When the store used to be Mi Pueblo the service was 10x better. Today between 10:00-11:00, my mom received the worst service. She wanted to buy meat at the Carniceria and saw there was a customer ahead of her. (Context: 1 particular staff member, more than a handful of times, has answered my mom with disdain, apathy, ultimately very discourteous). My mom was waiting for her turn and heard the man ask for a specific meat she had been asking for countless times but being told it wasn’t available (by this specific staff member), so to my moms excitement she just wanted to confirm it was available with a different staff member before it was her turn. When the server attending to the gentleman ahead of my mom overheard my mom asking, she then turned to my mom and rudely spoke to her that yes there was and to wait her turn (which is obvious that my mom has to). We have received better service at other Cardenas branches and do not understand how the service has declined in the past couple of years. We hope to see it improve.

We were lucky enough to find the deli section open. We perused through the foods available but still chose the tacos we wanted. I chose two tacos with tripas, the lady fried it a bit first, added onions and cilantro and pico de gallo. It was excellent, we liked the texture. My brother requested a couple of carnitas tacos with red sauce. He found it great as well as he was craving something spicy. We brought home a caldo de res, it was nice and meaty. We also picked up some produce. It was mostly self serve at check out and glad the veggies and fruits had scanning codes. Service is nice but they are busy.

The meat department employees were not very accommodating. I stood there five minutes or longer while three people were busy cutting and sorting meat. I asked for service and no one helped. I left and washed a Mexican lady walk up and was immediately served. I mentioned this to them and was given a confused look. This has happened to me before in another department.

Ordered a spice chicken beans, and rice, it wasn't fresh, poorly, when I took a couple bite the food smell nasty and I lost my appetite, i asked cashiers for a refund and they denied me overall poor experience.the Assistance manger name is Ernesto. It’s a good store. They have a lot of fresh produce. I like that but all of their salsa is trash. I haven’t had one salsa that I like from Cardenas.

Why they hired a security lady who couldn’t even read the packages and doesn’t know how respect ! She interrupted me while I was weighing the cherries bags and said which the bags are different! When I asked her to read the bags she stepped away and the self check staff(who is very nice )came to me and did same thing who I had done At first :(! the security lady was very rude and rookie on her job ! What I told her was which we’re coming here for years and buy and she should appreciate of that and treat customers well ! Otherwise who knows she still could has this job here !

Really enjoyed the taco selection here. Their hot bar is delicious, close to the Palo Alto Amazon office, and a great choice for quick and delicious Mexican meals at a great price.

20 Tacos were yummy that I purchased for the office. Well seasoned, Carne asada and pollo. It's not a very long wait, but you can't be in a rush if you're ordering that much. I recommend 👌 this place.
