This burger stand has been in operation in Dunsmuir for decades, always family operated.We had burgers there last night that were amazing. The accompanying fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside...just perfect!To top the meal off, we had a delicious pineapple soft serve ice cream waffle cone.If you are passing through Dunsmuir and want a great burger, this is the place!

This is best restaurant in the area and a must-stop on the way up to Shasta/Oregon. The Duxelles Burger is the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly blended garlic, creamy delicious burger. The crispy fries with sauce and a caramel shake complimented very well. We also ordered the brisket (only available on Saturdays) which is probably the best brisket in the state of California. The chef/owner even let us come back to watch him take it out. The owners couldn’t be greater! You cannot miss this hidden gem.

Fantastic little burger place just off HWY 5. Great group of young folks working here doing an awesome job with every option on the menu. Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, and a train and caboose nearby.

Stopped in for a yummy milkshake and came back after running errands for The Strandberger... Delicious!!Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere and the owners instantly made me feel like family... just how it used to be when I was a kid.I ❤️ this place :)

The kids burgers were the perfect size and looked like little Krabby patties. My bacon cheeseburger was amazing. Definitely a recommend to any family passing through dunsmere to stop for lunch or any other time to grab a bite to eat!

Having worked at a similar restaurant, I understand what it takes to run a restaurant like this. It's really disappointing to see such bad comments and rude people. This restaurant is run by pleasant young adults and a full-grown adult on grill and fryer.Food takes at least 15-20 minutes because YOU ARE EATING FRESHLY COOKED FOOD. They don't keep food under a heat lamp for hours on end, pre-made. If you want cheap fast food, go to Burger King. Shakes are great and corn dog was delicious. The hand dip they used is amazing 👏

I have been here twice for a milkshake. Both times it took over 15 minutes and both times a child ended up making it.It was totally melted by the time it got to me. I feel cheated after giving a generous tip because they request a tip before service.I would try this place again in the future but paying close to $10 for a melted milkshake really just put me off.

These burgers and shakes are a must experience. There needs to be a stop sign installed on I-5 across the street from Sten's in Dunsmuir, Ca. The buns are an artisan offering, from the local bakery The Dough Hook, a sublime burger foundation indeed. Fresh toppings and beefy burger patties leave you full and happy. Charge up your meal with a hand crafted shake or malt, for a real treat, just as good as you imagined when ordering it. To boot, the onion rings we're big and hot to the last one.Kudos to Sten's crew, making a quality meal you'll be jones'n for again before you leave!

On a trip to visit the area for a few days. Stopped by for a few shakes.. The lady at the counter was so helpful and was very patient with our large group. The other staff were also extremely friendly. Our six shakes were yummolious!!

Great food for a great price. They aren't stingy with their fries either. You get a ton with your order. I ordered the Single Fish meal today and the owner said she didn't like how the first fish fillet turned out so she gave me a second one free. I didn't see what she was talking about because it all looked so good to me. Amazing customer service and excellent prices for the tough times we live in now economically. Will return and a definite recommendation to anyone!

My wife and I just ate at Stan's burger for the first time. Let me tell you it smelled amazing walking through the door. Service was impeccable. The owner was just downright generous... kind.... down to earth. and let us try a new dish that's not even on the menu. A sloppy Joe..... and it is amazing!!!We ordered two burgers... a mocha coffee... diet Pepsi and garlic fries. Everything was fabulous . You guys have to check it out. Not to mention they have games to play with your family. With the warm cozy feeling inside.

Great place to rest and eat. We stopped in after a family sledding trip to Shasta with our 4 kids. They had games, and were very nice. They gave all the kids free dessert and had a gluten free, dairy free option for our daughter. They even had a gluten free bun for her. It was amazing!! I highly recommend

STENS BURGER vs. YaksLocals Choice:Stens wins 2023. Same organic beef as Yaks. One key difference here, if you go to YAKS you spend 2x the money. Trust the locals. We live in a tourists town. We know the legit places to eat.Parking: Lots of Parking on both sides of street.Kid-friendliness: Very Friendly, kind people.

Wonderful fresh food made by friendly locals! I normally can't eat fries because of my Crohn's disease, but they cut them fresh everyday. I surprised myself and ate almost all of them and didn't get sick. That is how I know it's good fresh food!! The burger with avocado on it is amazing 👏 😋 If you are in Dunsmuir stop by, they have shakes ice cream, and veggie, and turkey burgers too! I recommend this place, and have been eating here since I was a little girl through many different owners 😉 and these two have something special 💯
