Always greeted, always friendly staff. Manager NEEDS to put a sign in the grooming window, stating what he told me. Chairs are available in the back of the store, when customers are waiting for some grooming services. However the store might want to remove debris/other items off the chairs, and make them designated for waiters as an option. Not everyone is able to walk around the store for the entire wait time, nor leave and return.

PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END...This is not a friendly or professional petshop. I was taking my puppy to petco, but they my puppies hair got really tangled, and they told me to take it to petsmart that they were very professional on this cases .I made appointment for my dog (Lucy) I take her on Sunday. I get a call 2 hours later that Lucy is very inpatient and nothing was done I get there Lucy is half way shaved Alexis (groomer) tells me to take herback next day that she has more time and told me give some relax chewing that I even purchase from there I end up getting appointment on Wednesday w Samantha she's has more experience Wednesday morning I get a call that Samantha won't b there I asked for anybody else girl said I had to reschedule I got so upset I told her that wasn't professional my puppy was left so ugly I had already given her the relax chewing snack and she just said sorry I would never recommend this place look at the pictures Do you think that's professional .

Very pleasant shopping experience. The only concern is that lines build up and not enough registers. Great parking and again nice staff. Clean and organized store. Sweet Theo our American Akita puppy at 8.5 weeks old sporting his new shirt purchased at PetSmart.

I had a bad experience here 5 years ago. I decided to try again last year and have been taking my two pups to get bathed here. On 2/12/24 I dropped my dog off at 1:30 pm for a bath. Around 4:30 I called to check up on him since it's been a long time. I was told another 45 minutes. I asked if he was even bathed and they said yes. I decided to go pick him up because 3 hours was enough time for him to be there for just a bath. I got there around 5 and when they brought him out to me he wasn't even bathed. So for 3 and a half hours my dog was sitting in a kennel. I was extremely pissed. I voiced to one groomer how frustrating this is and I wish they would have called me to get him sooner. He was assigned to the groomer Elidia. Never again will I give this store another try.

Busy spot. But they were well staffed; no one was standing around. The line moved fast. My puppy was groomed and I appreciated that the groomer knew his limits so it remained a positive experience. And I love there are wipes and bags available when there are accidents in the aisles.

Not to say pet smart is bad because it has everything your pet will need. I took my cat to the Banfield vet inside Pet Smart for a check up. They would not give me a prescription for what I knew my cats would need. Needless to say, 3 cats died without the medicine.

I took my dog, Bella to be groomed on Friday. She has a history of seizures and I let the groomer know that she does not like her nails trimmed with the grinder or cut and to not worry about it if she could not clip her nails. Even though she was an express wash, she was done in less than 30 minutes. That's kind of too quick! When I picked up my dog thegroomer said she muzzled my dog to do her nails. A dog who has a history of seizures! It bothered me that my concern was ignored. The groomer also said my dog's nail veins are long and my dog's paws seemed uncomfortable afterwards. I've taken my dog to Petsmart in Whittier before. I think I'll stick with that store as it seems they care about dogs much better or have my dog groomed by a mobile groomer. I have seen the groomers at the Downey location become impatient with dogs too. Never again!

I wanted to give it no star, I bought food here for my yorkie, when I got home and opened the bag of dog food there was moths and insects crawling inside the bag. That happened 4 months ago I was upset but I let it go since the next day I went and got my money back and went to another Petsmart and made my purchase. Last week me and my husband went to Chili's for drinks needed dog food again for my Yorkie, went to the Petsmart again located in the same plaza, bought the only bag left I was skeptical but then I was like what are my chances of happening again.. well it did but this time there was mold 🤬😡 I was livid, mind you my yorkie has allergies so he gets a special brand of food, I just don't understand why is it soooooo hard to rotate the product either lazy workers or lazy manager that told me once I'm here for a paycheck.. wow..

Came in to buy prescription pet food and was told by a woman with glasses and a guy she called up that I couldn't use the prescription that was on my phone through the app and had to get another prescription in order to purchase it. I've used it in both that same exact store where I got the prescription from and in another county. I went to another store and they honored the prescription in the app. Thinking about just making the longer drive from now on.

I hate them for doing this but my dog loves them for it. They have all the treats and bones and toys in the first two isles of the store. So my dog know to go straight in and starts to pick out what she wants. Meanwhile I have to stand there because my dog does not leave until she picks her treats.

One of the girls at the front desk in the grooming department is rude & unprofessional. Her attitude is what made the whole experience horrible. Then when she called to inform that my dog was ready she hung up right away before I could even say anything. Had to call them back because I didn’t understand what was going on & she continued to have an attitude over the phone. Don’t understand why people work in customer service if they don’t not have the patience to be kind to others. If I could I would leave a negative star review but one start is the lowest.

3 weeks ago PetSmart was open and had already implemented guidelines of masks and 6' social distancing. I needed a new constant flow water bowl for Keegan the cat. Kudos to PetSmart for having them in stock, having competitive pricing and having nice, competent employees. Keegan is a happy, hydrated cat!

Come in once a week for stuff. Workers are nice. Management is awful. The alway have 1 register open with 6 to 12 customers in line all the time. Seems like Management dont care.

I needed a new harness for my dog but wasn't sure of the size. I asked for help so that I could get the correct one. The guy looked at my dog, said small and walked away. I purchased a small and then realized after putting it on he needed a medium. Big waste of my time and customer service at checkout and returns could be a lot better.
