Dan helped us out and was very friendly. The room has exactly what you need - keurig cups, water bottles, bathroom with shower, and microwave. He preheated our room before we arrived due to a snowstorm, and it was a comfortable stay in 30 degree weather outside. Overall a great place as there’s not much out here and the guy was very friendly. Great WiFi internet, too (60 Mbps)! Thanks!

We stayed on a Friday night. It was a great low price for the location. I was very pleased with how clean our room was, it was spotless. The place was also very pet friendly . We had brand new appliances, bed, towels, and bedding. They told us new owners recently took over and in the middle of a remodel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

My family has visited the motel since I was a young child. Wonderful owners, beautiful area to explore and a unique atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places, I always look forward to visiting. The perfect get away but still close to town, Weaverville has some great cafes’, restaurants, and great museums. Why rough it when you can stay in a quaint, clean place such as this?

We have stayed several times at The Timber Lodge. An enjoyable quiet getaway, beautiful scenery, very helpful staff, and the best fishing experience; just a short few-minute walk to the Trinity River… Steelhead trout and Salmon were biting on every cast, Wow!!! Woke up to deer just outside my rooms door! Weaverville is a short drive with great food options, movie theatre, and a gym! Will return!-Justin and Tracey

Recently in town for the Weaverville rodeo and the 4th of July festivities. The Timber Lodge in Douglas City was only about a 7 minute drive into Weaverville. So glad I chose this property. Its recently been renovated and looks and feels amazing. Next time I'm in town, l think I'll try fishing in the Trinity River. Its a very short walk from the property. I absolutely recommend the Timber Lodge!

The owner made a special effort to make our stay pleasant but the facility is old and looks more rundown than it actually is. The surroundings are unimpressive. On the other hand, the Indian Creek Cafe is only two miles down the road and the food and service are exemplary.

I'm still completely blindsided by what the proprietor of this motel told me on the phone 20 minutes ago when I called to inquire about vacancies and rates. She tells me that it's $50 a night, so I ask if there's a vacancy. She said "yeah, where are you from?" I tell her I'm in Douglas City. She says "no no no!" Confused, I ask "what? why?" "We don't rent to locals." I tell her I'm not a local, that my family and I just moved here from San Diego and are staying with a friend. That we just wanted to get away for a couple days. "Well we don't have anything available right now."Seriously lady? Thanks for lying to me, telling me you have nothing available RIGHT AFTER you tell me you do.I searched all of the motels near here and chose yours. I called you first because of your location and the good reviews. I'm glad as hell that my family and I didn't come hand over 4 - nights worth of stay to someone who lies to the people that keep you in business. Good Lord...

First time there and it was the perfect lottle place to stay. A bit on the older side but the price was perfect!! The location is perfect,just minutes away from great fishing whether you have a boat or just want to cast from the bank. Theres even a little store right next to the lodge,with a deli inside and they have bait by the register. GREAT PLACE,NICE PEOPLE.

The gentleman who is managing the lodge, is a gem. When we left, we accidentally left an ipad.A short while later, as we were driving toward our new destination, we received a phone call from him, letting us know about the ipad. Soooo, we had to turn around and go back to retrieveIt. I realized how easy it would have been for him to not make that call. So I have to thank him once again and repeat that he is a gem.
