What a great vet! My family just moved to the area and after the terrible experience with our last vet I was dreading finding a new one. What a difference! Everyone was kind, thoughtful and patient with my 15 year old pup. The doctor was very in depth in going through past history and coming up with a daily regimen to make our senior dog as healthy and comfortable as possible without breaking the bank. SOOOO happy with the move! Keep up the great work!

I had a great experience at Discovery Bay! I was checked in and put into a room not long after my appointment time. Kim T., the technician was awesome and treated my pup like her own! Dr. Burton was super nice and great as well! They took him in the back for his vaccines since I didn’t want to be present and brought him back within a couple of minutes. Efficient and trustworthy!

Everything is top notch, from staff and scheduling, text and email reminders, and super convenient payment/receipts. Dr. Gray treats our pets like his own. He remembers details about their personalities as well as their health. He doesn't try to over-sell or up-sell treatments or tests. He is keenly aware of our regional environment and how it may be affecting our pets.We unconditionally trust Discovery Bay Vet with our pets' health care!!

The Vet’s are terrific! I used to drive from near Stockton & now I drive from near Concord, due to moving. The Vet’s are practical and will give you the most you can do for a pet, as well as less expensive options. Too many Vet’s these days only seem to want to order a lot of tests all at once and do extreme measures, when trying first one or two tests first may give them the answers needed.Dr Gray and all of them are kindness itself, but also professional when dealing with tough decisions that are a part of pet ownership. I’ve known Vet’s to not offer you the choice to be with your pet when age and pain mean it’s time to let them go, but I’ve always insisted on being there and looking into their eyes while touching them. How can we not be there for our pets when they are there for us each day no matter our mood?I’m picky, but I trust the Vet’s here and the staff is great as well.

After 2 horrible experiences at other area clinics in 2 weeks we found Dr.Gray. We have a very fearful dog who needed patience and a team that understands how to work with giant scared aggressive fur babies. Dr.Gray and his team were PHENOMENAL. We did a pack walk with a tech named Mia (apologies if this is misspelled!) then went inside to do more walking around. I could tell immediately that we found our place. Dr. Gray came in with a boatload of treats like I asked, got down on Fergusons level and was so non threatening. He spent a full hour with us. The care and compassion they showed Ferguson was above and beyond. I would give them 10 stars. Very very happy dog mama.

I was able to make a same day appointment for my new puppy who had some tummy issues and had started to lick at her spay stitches. Dr. Liao and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They cleaned her stitches up and gave us instructions to help with her tummy.

First experience with a veterinary service in the US and it was great!Dr. Gray was very patient and professional, explaining to us everything with attention to all details and answering every question that came up. He also didn't try to push us to do any unnecessary tests, and let us make the decision ourselves with no rush and a lot of privacy.Most important - Julia was happy and comfortable!The staff was super friendly and welcome as well.We will definitely come back here.

We recently moved to the area so this was our first visit to Discovery Bay Veterinary Clinic. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the wait to be seen by the doctor was relatively short. Dr. Sessa clearly explained his diagnosis and answered all my questions. He was very conscientious of my pup's nervousness during the examination. I felt very comfortable with the team and am happy to find a great place to care for my dogs.

Dr Gray has been our furbaby's vet since we adopted her 9 years ago. Sadly, our 11 year old doggo needed dental work and minor surgery. We were worried about having anesthesia administered because of her senior dog status, and I emphasized our concern with Dr Gray and his staff. They were very considerate and provided status reports multiple times during the procedure, as well as a wellness check the morning after. Overall, the care was exceptional and we will continue to make the trek to Discovery Bay for our vet needs.

DB Vet Clinic is wonderful! We have been taking our dogs here since 1997. Through the years with all our dogs they have been loving, supportive, helpful, and kind. Dr. Gray, Dr. Liao, Jennifer... they are all fantastic and great!!

outstanding visit with Dr. Liao. she exceeded my expectations for my appt with my snake, Shiva. very knowledgable, thorough and just all around wonderful. the RVT was friendly and fun and the front desk staff was engaging and personable. this is an "exotic" visit due to my pet being a snake and i did not feel gouged when i was leaving nor did they try to upsell the visit. definitely recommend it was a great experience.

This vet is so wonderful! They have such a caring staff and really listen to the concerned pet owners babble on when something is wrong. Dr Laio was really there for us when our piggy ran into some health issues and followed up on email as well. It’s pretty easy to get appointments and the team is thorough. They taught us a new technique to give our piggy medication that made a world of difference. We had been going to another vet that got the ick when we tried to collect samples of weird urine/stool/bladder stones and this vet encourages it. They also taught us fellow enrichment techniques to try to get our little one to a healthier weight. Here I feel like there really is “no dumb question!” And I am forever grateful! It’s clear that they really love animals and aren’t trying to upsell us services that may or may not help. We are so glad we found Discovery Bay Vet!
