They have great items, however they seem to like to close early. They don't like to go by their posted store hours. I've come in multiple times 10-15 minutes before closing and have been turned away at the door. It's a little frustrating especially when I know exactly what I need and where it is. I even mentioned that. I guess they count the tills before they even close.

This is an amazing place! And with affordable prices. We were looking for pipes to replace the old one we had for our dish sink (we went to several stores as the pipe we were looking for was old fashioned), and we were able to find one here and at a cheaper price compared to the other stores we visited. Glad there is one at this location. Seems that they also have products from their own brand. Will visit again if needed to seek for hardware materials!

I went in looking for a bulb replacement. Sounds easy enough right!!? But I unfortunately know nothing about what parts my car needs and Adrian, the assistant manager helped me to find the right item I was looking for and went above and beyond by going outside with me to double check my lights before selling me the wrong item. If he hadn't offered his help, I would've been a mess and I'm sure I would have bought the wrong thing. Thank you so much for your help and amazing customer service!

Great place . I've been shopping here since 1984 . Almost always has what I'm looking for. And helpful tips on how to repair or install what im fixing. If it was a item they dont carry I've always been able to find something comparable . Never had any problems with the employees. No zombies wandering around the parking lot.

Terrible customer service. If you go, lower your expectations to that of zero for greeting, no smile, no help, they don't ask you if you have an Ace Rewards card, and by the way the card applies to all ACE Hardware stores. The stock is dirty and what help is there does not care about you. This used to be a good store a long time ago, but not any more. I only shop here if I absolutely just don't want to make the drive to Home Depot.

Just to put this out there...I worked at this store when I was 18. I am now 58 and cannot get over how things have changed, and not for the better. Mind you, I have been in there several times since then and it saddens me how poorly patrons are treated. Today was the final straw for me. The cashier was rude, had her feet up on the counter and a mouth full of food. Granted, people do need to eat. However, when a customer walks in the very least you could do is put your food down and greet them. The only thing I was greeted with was dirty look. When I asked where I may find what I was looking for all I got was a smacking mouth full of food and a shrug. Once ready to check out, I could not believe the way an elderly couple was being treated after asking a simple question. I was the one to answer the question for them. She apparently didn't care for me doing so because when it came time for me to check out, she said not a single word. She simply pointed at the total and slammed my receipt down on the counter. They just lost yet another customer.

This is a great hardware store. The people there are always really helpful. Briana and Richard were really helpful when I needed some really obscure parts to repair some of my tools. They will also special order things for me.

Rating is for their return policy. Receipt stated no returns (would have liked a verbal on that tho) on capacitors so they had that. Just didn't like the policy so weigh it as you may. I got the wrong size and had to go to a different Ace to get the right one and original Ace did t take the return. I offered proof to show that I bought the right one at a different t Ace since they didn't have it in stock but made no difference.

I come here all the time for these products.. but now i see they could care less about my business. Won't be back. Late on purchase delivery, they told me in on Friday, but it wasn't. I left phone message, and got no response. 3 weeks go by and even after i left my # to be contacted, they didn't even bother to let me know. I don't live in this area. Even after I came in on date promised, products were still late for 3 weeks. You lost this customer!

Great place to find the essentials for your home. They have a large selection of goods to choose from. The staff are also very friendly and often ask if I needed anything.They do not accept Ace Hardware coupons, BUT the staff helped me work around this: You can buy the products on the Ace Hardware website and pick up from the location while using the coupon. They'll quickly print out the receipt for you to sign and get your products. You can quickly find each product on the website using the SKU number (different from bar code, string of about 8 numbers on the packaging) and it'll direct you straight to the product.Also, as a resident of Diamond Bar, you're able to recycle your old batteries and light bulbs at the very back in 2 large bins (outside) for free! It's a good way to recycle these while looking around to see if you need anything for that home project.

All of the employees know exactly where everything is. They are so helpful and friendly- small town vibes. I prefer it over Lowe’s and Home Depot.

The level of service that these clowns that are employed at this location provide IS A JOKE! They have an attitude in their disrespectful! you ask him a question and they act like you’re bothering them when they work there. What kind of attitude is that???? literally I had to go to the guy to ask him three times and he didn’t wanna be bothered But for sure he had social hour with the other four employees there grouped up at the cashier register. Gossiping but not helping the customers and providing a level of service that they’re supposed to provide. This is ridiculous. And to prove it I’m gonna record it and put it in social media. I’ve been there three times and that’s what they do. Don’t go there or what? They don’t do nothing

Great place. Retapped a shower handle for me and bought a new set screw for 50 cents. You will never get that service at the big box store. Good old fashion customer care still exists here.

Went in here to pick up Cotter key stock.I just live Ace Hardware Stores . They always carry that extra something. I appreciate the individuals help here and his knowledge, because I truly had the wrong size. His knowledge helped me to get what I need and be up and running.

Old fashioned "good-ole-American-Hardware-Store!" 5☆'s+! They have everything I need (always after runing everywhere else) I'm back here...where the prices are good.You have to beg the (shy) young men who work there to help you...but they are always kind! and helpful.The plants I've gotten there...and planting supplies are "top-notch." They are vibrant and alive. They don't carry plants through the Summer...(too hot).I really love the organized lay-out...(reminds me of my Grandmother's Sister's Hardware Store...from my childhood)Good to know some companies really do care about quality and pleasing the customer.Ace Hardware...On my top 10 Companies List.

The store is a great place to stop in for routine emergency supplies. However, there is a limited number of of SKUs and you may still have to go to a big box stores. The person working at cashier is nice and friendly. However, there is a shortage of staff and often you have to search for someone. The staff on the floor may not be as well versed as you'd expect. So take your patience.

My front screen door lock and handle was broken and I had so much difficulty finding the replacement. I brought the broken piece to this store and the customer service guy helped me ID the part series number in 10 minutes. Since he does not have it in stock, I purchased it through amazon. with a few screws, it’s perfectly matching my screen door. So happy with this store. it’s a great source of information/supply place if you have broken hardwares

From the minute I walked in I was greeted with kindness and staff was very helpful with Christmas product. I was able to accomplish all my holiday decorations from the lights, garland, and wreaths. I still travel from chino to the diamond bar location when I moved because as always it exceeds my expectations.

Staff is always helpful. I seem to find the one-off hardware items I can't get at big box retailers. Although they seem to be higher in price it's worth it since you can't get them from other places.

I went there to get a car key duplicated with a chip transponder. Afterwards, I tried it on my car and it did not work. The keys didn't even matched the original. I talk to the owner of the store and he said too bad and there is nothing he can do about it. Now, I have to buy a new car key with a chip transponder and have it re-programmed for $130. The owner did not try to fix their screwup or even bother to apologize for the mistake. Don't give them your business. They don't care about the customers. Shop elsewhere for better service.

I received an Ace Hardware gift card. I went into this store to use it, was told that they do not accept 'Ace Hardware' gift cards because they are an independently owned 'Ace Hardware' that does not accept Ace Hardware gift cards.Such a confusing situation and from a customer perspective a waste of time. I had to travel down to San Dimas just to make the same purchase.

Has a good selection considering the size of the store. Their employees are knowledgeable and helpful. This is the classic hardware store experience. It is a dying art. Try getting any helpful advice from one of the big box stores.

Ace is one of those places you could get lost in, especially if you don't know what you're looking at. Fortunately there are people who know what's there and help. It will be better when they can get back to full staffing.

We walked in at 6:50 on Friday June 3rd 2016, 10 minutes before closing. We were looking to purchase paint samples by Benjamin Moore. The staff looked like we just ruined their quiet time. The entire paint section was blocked by the bbq grills (I'm guessing) they keep outside. I asked if we could see some paint sample cards. The employee said "let me ask my manager"...ok. The manager came by and looked bothered and huffed that he had to move the bbq grills out of the way. Not friendly as advertised. We purchased the samples, but will not return to purchase anything else. Not a good experience. Would give no stars, if possible.
