I want to give kudos to an employee in the deli at this location, I believe her name is Leeann W. She has really gone above and beyond to assist me the last handful of times I have needed help in the deli, and her courtesy has been a breath of fresh air that has improved my experience as a customer at this store. This week Leeann went out of her way to offer me different options when she was slicing my deli cheese to order. I wanted a thinner slice and she adjusted the cut until the slice was perfect, and then she went the extra mile to thoughtfully add sheets of butcher paper between individual slices to make sure they didn’t stick. I thanked her and said she seemed like she must really like her work; she responded that it was her pleasure to make sure that I was taken care of. She provided a level of friendly service and professionalism that you don’t see much anymore. She makes me think highly of the Vons DHS location and I will be back.

Told a young lady with dark hair and dark colored hoop earrings that another customer needed help at self checkout and no one has helped her for over 15 minutes. She looked at me said it wasn't her department, fixed her hair and walked away.

I have always loved the food selection and quality at Vons.I especially love Kim who runs the deli department. She is always so friendly and helpful! She has shared some excellent recipe ideas with me , and has excellent work ethic and customer service!

The only complaint I have is the baggers do not know how to bag groceries correctly. Even when we place the food how it should be bagged they still throw whatever with whatever. My eggs were under juices and cans and my produce is almost always really bruised from just being thrown is whatever bag. Its really frustrating to get avocados when they are so expensive and they are bruised and mashed before I can even get them out the store

Too expensive. Extremely rude employees. Their corporate office BLOCKS all complaints. Too bad we found their Board of Directors. Hahaha !! Their self-check out machines freeze up constantly. Went there today and the machines froze up 4 times on 4 different customers and the female associate kept walking away and chatting with other employees. And their bread selection was a joke. It was all that cheap, doughy "Wonder Bread" stuff and no healthy, grain breads at all. Von's is a joke !!

Why in the world would you put fresh fried Chicken in a plastic bag and seal it up not even a hole for ventilation. I waited in line for fresh chicken got home it was hot but soggy!!! We would rather have cold crispy chicken. The bag they put it in his for rotisserie chicken. We came last week and they put it in a brown bag and it was perfect. Stater Brothers puts in a box with holes. Heat and plastic do not make for a good crispy chicken. Disappointed

Went to the deli yesterday(09/22/2022) for some roasted chicken. It was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it was a week old and smelled bad. They really need some quality control.

This Store deserves zero stars. I recently bought a home here in Agua Dulce so I shop here frequently. Yesterday evening I witnessed a black customer being racially profiled by an employee named Johnna. She came over to him in self check out and insisted that this man needed to remove his case of water from the shopping cart and scan on the counter as opposed to using the hand held scanner (That is made available to customers for this specific use). Everyone including the security guard told Johanna that he did scan the water and his other items with the hand scanner and that he had done nothing wrong. She actually said, “ You black people be stealing so I’m gonna stand here and watch you scan the rest.” Like I said, even the young man working security was confused. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. Why even have self check out if you’re going to treat people like that and discriminate? It was disgusting to watch. She was aggressive, nasty and wrong. I wish I would have gotten her photo to post, maybe next time. On second thought, I’ll try out Stater Bros for future shopping.

I always come to this vons and honestly lately the customer service is ridiculous except for a couple employees. I was being helped by a young lady who always has such a charismatic attitude always helpful. I was waiting patiently in line to ring myself up and Lashanna kindly started helping me because I had asked her about "my just for u app" I was watching her run around helping other customers at the self checkout lanes while she was helping me she was yelled at by a lady named Cristina telling Lashanna to help someone else why couldn't she help the customer? While Lashanna was helping myself and others. She saw she had been running around by herself helping everybody, I thought Cristina was very rude to her and unprofessional. Lashanna is always so helpful when I come to the store no matter what my problems are I appreciate everything she does for me and my husband. We come here during the winter months and have loved shopping at vons but it seems they are very understaffed and over work and even mistreat the staff they do have. It's unnecessary and unprofessional to scream at anyone mo matter the situation just like Cristina yelled at Lashanna. I don't understand why Cristina would scream like that instead of helping the customer herself. Maybe she needs retraining in customer service. Please look into hiring more employees and don't lose the good employees you do have.

Very disappointed on how they failed to make a cake while I ordered it two days in advance. I went to go pick up the cake and a lady kept asking me how does the cake look like i told her and she came back with the order paper and said im so sorry the baker didn't make your cake. She then tells me let me see if I can get you a good discount with my manager and the manager was just awful and didn't want to give her the discount that she was asking for so the manager said all I can do is 5 dollars off and to top it off I ordered two cakes not one but two one for Thursday and another one for Saturday like seriously I buy two to three time a month from the bakery and all the manager can do is give a 5 dollar discount . I pay way more then a 23 dollar's for cake .

A very clean, organized, and we'll stocked store. Went in to buy flowers 💐 today. Very nice floral department. Samantha was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of her way to fix me up a beautiful rose arrangement. Thank you very much Samantha 😊 🌹

Was at the register went to pay for my items bought 2 buzzball weren’t able to scan had told bagger that grab the buzzball from display so cashier can scan Ive worked there and all you had to do was take buzzball off liquor section that was right next to register was told by bagger Kane red hair black frame glasses what you want kudos cause you worked here told me I can bag my stuff myself and threw my grocery bag with my items in the bag into the shopping cart and walked away these young generations kids need to have more respect for customers and they’re items they are purchasing from a store they work … ask for manager told manager just addressed the Kane is his name but he really need to not be a bagger .. With that disrespect and unmannered behavior not good work ethics!!! Must be removed from front end

When I walked up to the checkout counter. The associate ( Bella) was visiting with the guy associate who was bagging the groceries. She kept her back to me and never did acknowledge me. She checked me out. But the entire time she kept her back to me. I am big on customer service. And this was extremely rude. She kept visiting with the male associate the entire time , like she was on her break. I am one of your regular customers and this has happened before with ( Bella) please let her know that this is not good customer service. There is a time and place for employees to visit. But not when they are checking out customers. Thank you.

Love the variety and freshness of produce, particularly organic, at Vons. Also use the pharmacy, and am pleased with the quality of care and knowledge. I use the Vons app to clip and keep track of my coupons and rewards, very easy. Vons is my place to shop!

Having recently relocated from tye east to the west coast, Vons is a new experience. I was happily surprised to see a wide variety of products. Great produce and a decent butcher that is not limited in variety, but may be limited in quantity. Service has been great every time I have been there. Prices ever-so-slightly tend to drift toward the higher side, compared to some of its local competitors. But you do get quality products and this is California after all. You should always be glad when finished paying for your groceries in California that you were allowed to keep your first born!Vons - in a word: recommended.

The Vons in DHS is run by very nice, curtious and attentive staff, the store however is not as up-to-date as all the other Vons stores in other cities in the Coachella Valley and it begs the question, why?

RUDE CASHIER ELIDA ! I went in few nights ago to buy a couple things and the cashier who rang up my groceries was very rude from the jump didn't say hello how are you but that's ok then i told her if I can leave a item behind she took it in bad way put it to the side . The receipt shows her name on it I like vons store its pricy but everyone's always so nice and friendly except this one girl in the cash register ELIDA the cashier was VERY RUDE and HOSTILE ... Only grocery store I will shop in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Always clean and most of the time well stocked. Seems to be an issue around major holidays, but isn't it like that everywhere!? Quality is a must and I am confident with my purchases from them.

I’m giving a review to one of the most nicest person with the best customer service at this store Vons Desert Hot Springs.Angelica was very polite when asked if a cake can have a name added with frosting. (Another women kept saying no they can’t holding a cake in the air and breading heavily in it, eww)Angelica nicely said yes, and did it with such care! Best customer service in the bakery! By Angelica! Thank you! You made a difference!
