This place needs an uplift and renovating. There's no excuse for it not being up to par when there's another recently built one literally miles away. Don't treat marginalized communities like they aren't important. Talk to all the employees about respecting customers. We spend our money here! Fix the machines at the counted so debit cards aren't rejected.

STORE HOURS 8AM-11PM Google has the open times as 7am-10pm.This place has ok items.1. There's always a line. Especially since save-a-lot closed.2. Customer Service is ok. But they don't seem to keep people very long.3. The lot & the store needs to be picked up regularly. I had to walk out to the parking lot to get a shopping cart.If you hit the sweet spot & the store isn't too busy it's ok. And hopefully it doesn't look third world in & out of the store.I raised my score to 3 stars 8.19.17

Great store with descent prices. Easy in and out. Friendly, helpful clerks.Added note:I previously gave this store a, less than favorable review based on one visit. Never mind the many other easy, quick stop ins. I'm a frustrated old man, and have to realize that this is a small town with a small job pool. Everyone wants a paycheck, but have no clue as to work ethic.. so, once in awhile there's a hitch in the giddy up.. and you have to adjust.. Not whine.These are good folks. And get an "A".

Super nice and friendly service always!Jessica too extremely or the mgr. Dont know if she still is, but the vibes still the same!They greet you once, if that's not enough, than two times! They are always available if you gotta question and cant beat the prices when you really cant even afford a trip to target or walmart.

Good range of products when stocked. lately they have had issues in that area. It's clean and organized.The staff could use some training, the conversations heard between them is sometimes inappropriate.Huge lack of shopping carts but still well worth a visit.

Love itAlmost always a long line, but the true pleasantness of the employees and most of the customers makes up for any time you spend thinking you could be doing something else.Maybe instead of checking your watch you could check in with your neighbor. I'll bet they're pretty interesting - probably more interesting than your watch anyway

The reason I put 2 stars is, the last couple of times I have been here, it looks as though they are closing for good... the shelves are bare, the items that are on sale... gone. Not just 1 time, several times during the sale I have went and, Nothing. .. its like, they sucker u in for the sales and never intend on having that item. I really liked this place, but something is going on.

Bonnie, Noah, Jordan and Emily work at night and they are amazing. They have turned around that store so nicely and they always greet my mom and I when we walk in. Please give them a raise or some kind of award they definitely deserve it. Thank you for always being kind and helpful unlike others there. Desert Hot Springs dollar general has really turned around. The employees ate so sweet and very helpful also the store looks GREAT!!! you can tell the employees really keep it up. Sho thank you for making my shopping experience a delightful one!

We just moved from Moreno Valley and the Dollar General that we normally shopped at closed down😢💔totally missed it!! Hubby and I were out running errands and spotted the Dollar General store. Been in there already a few times since we moved to the area. We are happy to be shopping here again! You find a little of everything,very convenient and the prices are great. We will definitely be regular shoppers😁

We love the Dollar General its where we get all our candy!! I want to give a shout out to all the employee's there you are all so nice and polite and you all actually carry converstions with your customers, I love that because some cashiers just put there head's down and dont say a word its kinda uncomfortable when that happens. You all however are AWESOME!! Keep spreading the peace and kindness xoxo

Okay once again they overcharged me, once I got home I noticed they charge me for two bags of Fritos and I only pray for items. The store is in disarray, unorganised with products on the floor and on various shelves oh, just a mess. I do have to say the cashier was very nice although she's over charged me twice in the past this being the third time. I don't go back to claim a refund because they will just accuse me of lying which was my previous experience.

Store is neat inside, employees are pleasant. But: the exterior sidewalk, shrubs, entryway are not maintained at all! Simply the WORST I think I have ever seen for a business ANYWHERE. Almost made me ill, not sure I can ever return.

Big difference from the day and night crews. The night crew seems to have more product knowledge than the day crew. They also are doing done stocking and still help customers. The day crew which is stocking all day , surprisingly doesn't have product knowledge it seems. It's not that they don't know and then point you the wrong direction purposely, they just want to get done and leave and don't want to bother with that customer service stuff. It's called multitasking people....

The customer service is non existent. Bathroom was out of order, at least that is what they said. I went in with my two older teen daughters, we ended up with a basket full of items. They did not greet us when we walked up to the register or thank us after spending $50. It's not a bad place to shop but I don't go back to places that act like they are doing you a favor because you are inconveniencing them by being there. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back.

This place is always busy and have great deals. The staff is very helpful with my shopping needs and even was able to assist me with bringing my groceries to the car and the gentleman.. sorry but I forgot his name but helped me with my wheelchair. Thanks for all your hard work!!! A valued customer

I guess since this place is called Dollar General and it's a discount store they think service has to be below service standards. The store was dirty, low in stock, idles clutter either with boxes or items on the floor. Service was very very poor. The book section was a total mess and only 2 cashiers. One cashier having 11 customers in line and 9 with the other cashier. I asked one of the cashiers were I could find a product and was rudely answered "I don't know you just have to go thru the canned food idles and look for it". Bad attitude, dirty store, low in stock definitely will not be going back to this store.

I love the name.. I love when they have major sales on their clothes, but most of the time they never have their shelves stocked , they are always out of everything...Their prices are not all that cheap either...But if you need to grab a few things they are okay, that is if they have it in stock 😉

Most of the employees are very nice but see a lot of standing around not paying attention to the long lines and one register open. New manager bragged a lot about cleaning up the store and making sure more registers are open. Store still dirty and really smells. Friend had a interview and manager was a no show.

Good location. It would have gotten 5 stars, but for it to be a dollar store it's pretty expensive! The African American young lady with the dreadlocks was extremely professional and I appreciated her customer service.

There is a line at the store to check out. It is not marked. Make sure to get in it. When I accidentally cut the line the other patrons were visibly and audibly upset. The headphones ($5.50) were adequate for the flight home. Employees were very nice.

Gotta say...... it is a first for me and it does have random items ....but over all the neatness is a solid 4 stars because it had many items not in order. I purchased a shower rack for $6.00 dollars and both of them do not work.so 4 stars is ok....

Has a little bit of everything at great prices. With comparable prices, I choose Dollar General over hiking the huge aisles and lines at Walmart. They changed the 'too heavy' Front Door during the recent remodel, a welcomed change!
