We take our dog to Healthy Spot's groomer and small dog daycare. I'm really grateful we found this convenient place close to home that our dog loves. We've tried other daycares and he's always pretty nervous going into them. At this one, he gets excited when we arrive in the parking lot and pulls me into the store to see his friends, wagging his tail as he goes. He has short hair and not a lot of grooming needs but they do a good job keeping him clean and his nails ground every month. You can also rent their daycare room on Sundays for private parties at a very reasonable rate. We hosted a foster dog reunion there and it was great!

I love healthy spot’s day care. Sev, the daycare manager, and his team go above and beyond to build a relationship with the dogs. We rescued our dog a year ago and I wasn’t sure how she’d do with other dogs as she came from a traumatic past. She was afraid of her own shadow. She’s at the point now where she rules daycare and she doesn’t look back when we drop her off. We have stayed very loyal to healthy spot and will continue to do so! Love them. Also, they give you report cards and i look forward to reading them :)

Our girl missy comes here all the time for daycare services and bath/grooming. Staff are all super friendly and attentive. We get reports card every time when we pick her up. The staff sums her day for us to keep track.

This place is extremely expensive for grooming. That’s quite unfortunate because my dog loves going here but we had to move her to a new place because $160 every five weeks is double the price of other places. She is a 5lb poodle.

Daren was super amazing and I am incredible amazed with his service. He helped me picked really cute stuff for my cat’s birthday. Super sweet he was. Keep it up. Also place is clean and organized and easy to find things. I got cute bow ties,arching collar and birthday hat for Simba.

Melissa is amazing! I moved to Nor Cal recently and left my family to care for my cat and the last two phone orders I made Melissa was there on the other line ready to put together my kitty's favorite raw food and litter. She was also kind enough to let me know our brand of food was on promotion this month which was exciting to hear!!! Thanks Melissa for making this transition easier 🙌

I love Healthy Spot! I’ve been a loyal customer for over 8 years and I wouldn’t trust ANYONE else for daycare or grooming.Grooming:ASK FOR JAYE!!!Jaye is our current groomer and Happy adores her. She listens to everything we ask for and goes above and beyond! She’s so sweet and nurturing towards Happy. I can tell Happy feels comfortable with her.Cameron who is amazing was her groomer prior to Jaye but he got promoted and moved to the Bay Area. Yay so happy for him.Trisha was her groomer prior to Cameron and she too got promoted. This spot is clean and all the staff friendly. My dog, Shadow, is a short hair mixed breed rescue. I have no issues with their bathing services and cost for services. I rated a 3 because their turnover with their bathers is becoming a concern.Shadow goes every month for her services. During the pandemic she had one bather, Sam. However In the last several months turnover and or cancellation of services has become an issue.We were cancelled most recently for services on a Friday to Sunday. After making 2 calls to them to confirm, we have not received an email or text (which is the norm for a scheduled or rescheduled appt).We do hope they can hire and retain bathers; we need to have a good experience and consistency for our pup.I am in the process of reviewing groomers/bathers in my area as consistency is important for my dog and for me.If this happened once or twice, it would not be a concern.

I frequent Healthy Spot for a number of reasons: Their doggy daycare, dog food selection, and grooming.I've had experiences with many doggy daycare places, and this is one of the few places my pup doesn't seem to dread getting dropped off. Truthfully, one of the main reasons I chose Healthy Spot is because of the real grass they have inside the daycare area. When I first started dropping him off there, he was only at 75% on potty training so having a room with grass that other dogs were also using was a big plus - not to mention the help he got with socialization. I also like that they give me a little report card of how he did all day, and the short walks they take him on during the day so he's not cooped up in that same room for several hours. All in all, I've been really happy with the service they've provided.Of course, it isn't cheap. ...but, from time to time, I'm willing to fork over the money so he can play with other pups his size in a safe and transparent environment. He doesn't really like dog parks - so this is the best solution I've found.In any case, its also convenient if he needs to get groomed as there's a grooming facility inside the store that does a really nice job. Also a little pricey, but :shrug: I guess that's the price for convenience.I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is considering it. I only took off a star, because I do find that its very (very) expensive.

Healthy Spot daycare is a sham. They will ‘reserve’ a spot, but in actuality it is over capacity and your poor dog ends up sitting in a tiny cage. They couldn’t give me a legitimate answer as to why my dog was kept in a cage, aside from he was ‘running around and excited’. Isn’t that what dogs are supposed to do at daycare??? They punish your dog for THEIR lack of management skills. Lovely façade touting they care about animals, but really they’re just trying to make as much money as they can at your dog’s expense. Straight up abuse.

I take my Golden here to get groomed and it’s perfect every time. They’re gentle with her and she never has allergy issues as opposed to some other places. The toys and treats at the store are a little pricey, but high quality! Every toy we’ve bought there has lasted a while (she isn’t a shredder though).

Went to get my dogs nails trimmed here because my normal place stopped providing the service. Never coming back. They cut way too deep and left her feet bleeding. Awful. They should be ashamed. Nail trimming should be so routine and easy and safe by professionals.Edit: i don't see a way to respond to your message, but I'm not sure what more there would be to talk about. When we got our dog back with her feet bleeding we were reminded why we stopped bringing out older dog there years ago for similar issues + inconsistent grooms due to staff turnover

I found Healthy Spot over a year ago after my sweet kitty, Patti, was recommended to try Feline Natural wet cat food. The vibes in the store are amazing and Justin is incredibly helpful whenever I come in to buy food for both of my kitties, we always have a great conversation! To be honest, I call ahead to see if Justin is working because I just enjoy spending time connecting with him so much!! They also have a great selection of toys, food (wet, dry, raw), treats, and more! They carry very top quality cat food brands, and I trust Justin’s recommendations for my angel kitty babies.

I’ve had two horrible experiences with this location. The first time, they ‘dropped’ my 100lb golden retriever off their table. We were of course horrified, but he seemed fine when we picked him up. The second, they were told my dog had allergies which caused his skin to scab and I gave them his special shampoo. They called me freaking out saying he had ringworm. He does not have ringworm. It’s his allergies, something I told them at the start. They handed us back a soaking wet dog, and charged us $120 regardless. They claimed they brushed his teeth and clipped his nails. They didn’t.Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. There’s a reason Playa Vista is booked out a month and this place has immediate reservations.

Well I will start saying that I went to this place just because my AMAZING groomer went to work there. I pay $100 per visit, which I don’t mind because she has always done a GREAT kid. However, the last visits have been very disappointing. My groomer is constantly called to the front to get more customers, leaving my dog with another person who seems to be in training. As a result, my dog’s fir has not been cut properly, her paws has not been cleaned, etc. This place cares only about the $$$$. Customers pay for a service, which is supposed to be that a groomer MIST should not be sent to greet more customers leaving the dog unattended. I saw it with my very eyes, my groomer left my dog unattended for about 15 minutes. I am seriously considering not to return to this place. For what they charge me, an EXPRESS service, my dog can be better off somewhere else.

The staff is constantly wonderful. Friendly to pets and owners. Hard working and engaging. Whoever is doing the hiring is doing it right.The groomers appear to genuinely love animals. They take careful notes on what you want. We drop off a nervous, scruffy dog, and come back to a sharply groomed and happy pup!The day care is also exceptional. The dogs are all screened and the number of dogs is limited. When we drop off our dog, we know she's in good hands. We've even dropped her off just to socialize with other dogs.Healthy Spot has earned my trust and my business.

Brought my puppy twice there,First time they totally shaved her and got 2 hematomas on each ear + fleas, had to bring her to the vet and pay a little over $700 for her to feel better + the $150 at the groomer... yay!Second time I'm bringing her there just for a shampoo, the worker asked me if she has any problem on her skin as I responded "she is scratching herself a little sometimes" and she goes ok and took my puppy to the back. When I'm coming back, before seing my puppy they asked me to pay, and it was almost the double of what I was supposed to pay, that's because of the "special shampoo" but nobody told me that it would have been an extra charge for that shampoo... + her eyes weren't cleaned and she got fleas again.I'Il pass next time.

Great Pet Supply Shop, Really happenin place, great groomers....Firstly, they have a number of very great quality petfoods, pet treats and chew toys etc. For bigger dogs they have a great selection of bones, antlers etc.One of my dogs had a very specific diet and I was able to get the dog food here. they would even call me with they ran out and got more in stock.The groomers are great. Probably one of the better places in the neighborhood. A bit pricey but they do it right. Recently I took my Husky to a place on Centinela and they SHAVED MY DOG after I told them not to.... Terrible experience and I paid $130.00 for a dog bath, nails and for them to butcher my dogs beautiful coat. I have had much better experiences at Healthy Spot.Fun for kids to see all the dogs playing in the dog play area as well.A bit on the pricey side but great quality products and grooming.
