Update, we are a year later with no express or self checkout. To add insult to injury I visited yesterday (a Tuesday at 4pm) for some basics in produce. Had to go to another store… (photos included) This store is in desperate need of renovation. The staff is very nice, but there is no electronic check out and the lines are always super long. Also bread is always gone if you are not in early and produce is lacking. Flooring and paint is also needed.

Line is too long for check out. You should have a minimum of 2x lanes open; there is only ONE and 15 people in line!!Install self-checkout stands to process small orders quickly. Then have more staff avaliable to check people out. It's Sunday evening, prime shopping time.Come on Vons, you guys are better than this.

I spent 10 minutes waiting at the food (deli) department before being informed that the staff had gone for their lunch break and there was no one available to cover their absence. You can’t just leave a whole department with no cover for 30 min! That’s bad management.

I know not many people eat grocery store sushi, but in this Vons it is pretty darn good! Their sushi chef not only makes delicious sushi, but she makes it look so beautiful! Also she's super nice! Just go and try her sushi, you won't regret it! I keep coming back here in my lunch time just because of the sushi.

Easily the worst Vons (or grocery store you will ever encounter). Deli has one person or no one. One cashier. No self checkout. Avoid at all costs. This one hopefully will go out of business like it deserves to. It’s an absolute joke. If you have an hour to waste getting something that should take 10 min, you found your store!

This Vons location has been a neighborhood staple for many, many decades. Parking is super easy at this location. While the size of the store is small, it has all your basic necessities, a Starbucks location, meat /fish counter, florist, and a salads/prepared foods counter.Would be good to add self checkout lanes esp for contactless and fast checkout. The lanes get crowded at times.

I just bought a pack of St Louis Style Pork Rib which is on sale now for $2.99 per lb, but after I got back home and received my credit card notice which shows $18.93 in total (regular price $5.99 per lb). I called the store's number on the receipt and it is disconnected! Then, I found their number from Google Map, then I called them for 3 times but no one answered from customer service!!! Can you believe that they made mistake then I need to spend so much time to solve this issue. Most likely, I need to drive back to the store and hope someone there really can help and compensate my gas and time!

Unacceptable levels of staffing. The deli supposedly closes at 9pm during weekdays. The deli attendant is “out to lunch” for 30mins from 7:30 - 8pm, and then begins shutting down the deli/ starts removing items upon return from lunch. If you’re not going to fully serve customers until 9pm, don’t falsely advertise as such. Twice this week I have had to wait 20+ mins for this fiasco

Ann is a wonderful cashier who’s kind demeanor and attitude alone make me want to return to the store. I’ve never felt more welcomed and appreciated as a customer than when I see Ann in the store. Thanks Ann and thanks, Vons for a wonderful grocery shopping experience!

I love this Vons and I always go there and the staff and supervisors there are amazing. But my experience always terrible when Elise help me at the Deli. She is not friendly at all. Unlike the other members. And this is not the first time. in the beginning I thought because she's a new hire . But I don't think so. Especially after multiple visit I believe she needs some more practice how to do customer service.

Okay shopping, nice cashiers. Chilis and select produce not always the best quality; but today I left something behind and the customer service was outstanding. Management and staff deserve a 5 star for service alone. Keep it up. Thank you!Meats, milk, and other important items can be a bit on the high side. If on a budget, need to keep an eye out for sales.

The Deli doesn’t offer what it states on the menu. The reason for the one star isn’t because of the lack of supply (which, being a grocery store should be able to be remedied easily) but because their service is rude and terrible. They ran out of the bread that is supposed to come with the sandwich and instead of telling us, they proceeded to grab another type. When we asked for the bread that came with the sandwich they said they didn’t have any. We asked if they would offer a discount of any kind and they were very rude and said, nope. We asked for another kind of bread they said was all used up on sandwiches made in the morning. Sometimes it seems people don’t think… I could grab my manager to grab sourdough bread from our bread aisle… people surprise me. The lady was very unhelpful and had a take it or leave it mentality. In some ways it’s a small thing, but this store needs to help it’s employees see that Customer Service and taking care of their shoppers is what good business is about. Bummer Vons.

Quietly uncrowded when I shopped on this Tuesday, November 24, 2020!Today, I saved over $40 using Vons card. With a bill of under $90!Look for great deals! They are all over the store!Vons people and Vons rock!Could governmental agencies run free enterprise market systems as effectively and efficiently as Vons? Really could they handle all those transactions?Personnel responsive of deep lines!Workers were cordial! Lady buying out in front of me had over $900 in gift card purchases so I waited patiently! Then, another cashier opened for me! Still, another customer had a handful of items behind me so I let them go ahead! Only a recommendation to let others go ahead if it's prudent, k?Thanking God for all you people of good will and those who aren't there yet, too!

Encounter very friendly staff here. On one visit, met an individual who was more than willing to directly assist with customer rewards program enrollment; even with a short line waiting, which was greatly appreciated. This gesture saved the need to return items to the shelf and begin shopping from scratch. What a kind and unexpected gift.

Been here a few times to try and get a money order. Closest place to my house. The western union machine is always broke. Went today after I tried last a month ago. They told me it’s still broke! I said still?! They replied it’s been broke for a year now. Who runs this place? Why isn’t someone contacting western union to get a tech out and fix it? Why is this location still advertising WU when it’s been broke for a year?

I am so upset and angry!!!! I called Vons around 10am and spoke to the Floral Dept lady around 12pm. I told her that I needed a balloon bouquet and asked if I could order it. The lady told me that they couldnt take orders… and I could just come in and it would take her about 15 mins to blow them up. So I felt great. I asked her if she’d be there around 6pm and she said yes. I arrived at the store at 5:15pm and and I asked the bagger to call the person in Floral because I needed a balloon bouguet. To my horror… (I believe her name was Anna) told me that she went home at 5pm and there was NO ONE TO HELP ME! She was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I almost started to cry! I thought I had it all planned. People were waiting for me! She was just RUDE!!!!!!!!!! I can not tell you how awful the experience was. I thought I had it planned. I ended up going to CVS next door and they tried to help me as much as they could. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I will be calling the manager tomorrow. There are NO words… to express how awful it was….

I went here to buy a couple of items recently and had a very unpleasant experience with the cashier Dane. I walked up to the register and said "Hi, how are you?" and he ignored me. I had a couple of baked goods in a bag and he asked me what was in the bag. I did not hear him and said "what?" and instead of repeating himself, he shook the bag at me. Very unpleasant and anxiety-inducing experience and I will not be shopping here again.

During the last week of coming here, the staff have been friendly and helpful. While I keep checking back, sometimes things are stocked, but it's still limited! Smaller location, organization of grocery store wasn't entirely expected (had hygiene goods in the next aisle after produce?). Had run out of most of the on sale yogurt flavors when I was attempting to restock, but I guess a part of that was me going on a Sunday evening. Overall still giving a 4/5 due to overall cleanliness of store and lines moved quickly.

Place is very clean, friendly people in the register except some lady maybe the manager i got some scratchers since i had some lose cash and one of them got stuck in the machine and went to look for help. She was talking with someone else, i told them what happened and she look bother by my request. She unlock the box, got my ticket and hand it over to me, i said thank you and she just never replied nor acknowledge me...very rude

Everytime I come to this vons I have issues with the prices, things will be marked down for members and when I checkout the price doesn't change even even putting in my member information, when I ask the employees they do a price check and say that it's not showing up when they are clearly marked a certain price in the aisles. The employees are not helpful and don't seem to care. Usually come here after work on my way home but will be going to Vons in Solana Beach from now on as they are always helpful and their prices are always correct.

Austin Is An Awesome Guy. Makes Great Sandwiches And Has A Great Attitude. Real Easy Going Nice Customer Service. Also Keaton And Paris And Chris In Starbucks Are Great Always A Service With A Smile. Shame on Vons. This market is run by its employees according to what they want to do. Many expired items on their shelves, and there is very often only one cashier when there are several shoppers waiting in line. They close one entrance at 7pm because they don’t have enough staff to cover the doors. The employees are slovenly and inexperienced. I’ve had to go out to parking lot to retrieve a cart. It’s my neighborhood market and it’s disappointing to have to leave my neighborhood and go to another market.

It is generally not a good practice to leave your own line in the middle of a transaction to loudly berate your fellow employee in front of two full lines of customers. I do have your name but am attempting to show a little more class. No one we could see was mad or uncomfortable until that happened. Then everyone was uncomfortable and the customer your fellow employee was helping had other customers trying to ensure them they were not infact causing a huge inconvenience to them and ensuring your fellow employee they had done nothing wrong. That was an incredibly inappropriate thing to do to your co-worker. I would call but I get the strange feeling you're the manager.

Went in for some staple and ended up getting a HUGE 12 imch hero sub for 5.99. Soft bun and full of meats and cheeses. Best deal of the week!
