They did not send part of my ordered and sent a flyer in the mail posted it at the value of my missing item and I was charged 65$ to get it thinking it was my item- only to find a flyer in the package. They refused to refund for the missing item or the money charged for the flyer- don’t deal with them they are theives.

The service was great! I had 2 sales people helping to make sure I got an excellent fit on a riding helmet. They were so good about bringing out helmets and adjusting them for me to try. They were very knowledgeable about what makes a good fit. Everyone was cheerful and friendly. A really great place to shop. In addition to the great service the store has an incredible inventory.

This one of my favorite tack stores. They have everything. It is pricey though. You pay to have the item in your hands, easy peasy. And the staff is super helpful and courteous.

During covid theres actually room in the store to move and breath without someone else on top of you. Not a lot of sales or deals and they're on the pricey side, but they're one of the best 1-stop-shops around. Some things you can find there, except the rawhide halter, I bought the last one.

Horse lover's paradise. All the brands a plenty that usually have to go online for are here. Huge feed section and lots of staff who are helpful. They cater for other pets too especially dogs and have a really cute gift section. It is pricey but I always have enjoy coming here even if just to browse.

Excellent tack store for horse enthusiests. Prices are high but that's expected for the location and targeted shoppers. I found some great deals on the clearance rack. I came here looking for a new riding helmet and I was disappointed in their selection. If you're looking for a great helmet in the $500 -$3000 range then the selection was good. They had the w couple cheaper options for youth but I was looking for something within in the $150-$350 price range and they had one Tipperary but, no other brands to try and I had already tried this one prior. Over all it's a pleasure shopping here, was able to stroll around without being bothered by staff.

I'm at Mary's a lot and they are amazing. I bought 3 saddles from them and they have a trial period that you can test the saddle on your horse and if it doesn't work out, you return it. Sadly none of the options fit my 2, but easy return process! Tons of bits, supplements, tack, blankets, boots, helmets, stable supplies and feed to choose from. The staff are always amazing and so friendly. It's always a pleasure to come in.

Mary’s is good. They’re the main game (pretty much only game) in town. People/staff are super nice and very knowledgeable. Because of the small size of the place, they don’t carry a huge selection, but they carry most things. We’ve had to place orders for things we want several times and they say they’ll call when the stuff comes in and most of the time that doesn’t happen. We’ve had to order whatever they don’t have online from other stores or we drive out of San Diego to get what we need. Not a big deal. Love the big tent sale they have annually in Feb/March timeframe. It’s always so fun.

Found this site while searching for Little Giant feeding bowls - everywhere else starting at $11 but Mary's had them for $4.99 and free shipping for orders of $75 - no problem there. I received communication every step of the way and received my order in 2 days - unbelievably fantastic!

I’m on the east coast, but I found this tack shop online while saddle shopping. When I ordered a saddle, I received a friendly phone call where they personally explained their saddle return policy (it is also well-documented online). The policy is very fair and gave me the peace of mind I needed when buying a saddle sight unseen!I’ve since bought a few other items from tack shop. Everything arrives well-packaged and pleasantly fast! I’m now a customer for life!

We used to tide our horses down and tie them up at the hitching tail when Marys was just a tiny shed next to the feed store. Then It grew into the old diners space. Now it’s a fabulous huge store just across the street. Mary herself would be so proud - it has s as ways been the best place to shop for all your animal needs

We don't get down to Mary's very often. In fact, the last time we were there was the 2019 tent sale. My wife bought, among many other things, a pair of half chaps. She didn't really need them at the moment, but hers were showing signs of wear and what the heck, these were on sale. It took several months to go by before my wife started to wear the new half chaps. She hadn't worn them but a few times when a snap separated. Well time went by and we finally took them back to Mary's today, one week short of the 2020 tent sale. Mary's has a 90 day return policy. We explained the situation to the cashier, who's look became more and more reluctant as my wife spoke very cheerfully with her receipt in hand. The cashier said she would talk to a "manager " which usually means no way, bub. As we shopped, we were approached by the cashier and presented with a Mary's gift card for the purchase price of the original pair of chaps. We were very pleased with the resolution. In fact we both noticed a definite change in attitude with the sales people. They were helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not the attitude of prior visits. If you haven't been to Mary's Tack in Carlsbad or if you haven't been there in awhile, the are definitely worth a second look.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience this morning. Terrible customer service, I felt literally invisible trying to buy boots for my wife. The sales woman was helping another customer and I waited patiently when it was my turn she was very short with me. When they did not have the size I was looking for, I asked for recommendations or the difference between two different boots and she seemed not to want to help me or give me any advice. I ordered the boots I needed online. It was my first and last time there.

Incredible products! I buy the fly stick and fly lotion. I put it on my horse’s face and no knats or flies. Does not work on me although the lotion helps. The only thing I don’t like is slow shipping.

Most caring, attentive and helpful staff. They are just GREAT people who sell great products and really fun gift items too! I love they use and understand the things I need to buy and help me make decisions on things like supplements, horse boots, etc. They recognize you when you come in the door, (ok maybe that's because I frequent them often!) they have a wonderful customer loyalty program, great sale items, and of course the epic tent sale...the equine event of the year!! Marys is the best tack shop on earth and I am very grateful for how they care for customers and support events in the local community. All businesses could learn from their model! :)

Traveled a long way to try on boots because footwear is hard to buy online due to the fit being unique to each individual. Excited because Mary's had 28 models of boots!!! But only 1 for men. WTH!? 1 pair? Wanted to look at endurance sadfles too and once sgain there were perhaps 60 saddles but only 2 endurance and the two were basically the same. Staff was super nice! Bridles were hard to sift through. Very few mens breeches. I'm seeing a trend... not much for men. Beautiful store but as a guy...no reason to go back..
